Mass Effect Pathfinder is a fanfiction story I'm working on based on the game Mass Effect: Andromeda. It's an indirect sequel to the game, in which the Pathfinding crew (including both siblings, reporter Keri T'Vessa, and a new character) discovered a system to travel across more of the galaxy (like Mass Effect Relays), and use it to explore more of the galaxy. Each chapter promises a new planet, with new civilizations, cultures, and possibly new dangers.
This thread will mainly be used to showcase my ideas for these new creatures and planets. However, I currently don't have anything available to make digital artwork of these ideas. So I'm relying solely on trying to describe them with my words and hope that you guys can picture what I'm describing. If any artists are reading this, feel free to make illustrations of these depictions and reply them to this thread.
Anyway, here goes nothing...

Vallun Rinai (Vallaian for "Hallow Planet") is an interesting concept. We can't classify this as a planet, because in reality, Vallun Rinai is a cluster of asteroids caught in the orbit of an extremely powerful star. Strangely enough, the civilization of Vallun Rinai live underneath the shell of Asteroids, forging towering cities of stone. The idea of horizon doesn't exist in this planet. If you looked forward, the land would curve upward. The powerful star that in the center of this "planet" is called Nirvai, named after the Vallaian god of light and security. Access to this planet is only achieved through a specialized gate that only opens via permission from travellers.
The Vallaians are short, rounded and wear a stone armor with glowing nodes on their body. This armor is designed to make the Vallaians heavier, resisting the pull of Nirvai. Their faces are slightly squished and rectangular, with two beady yellow eyes, no nose, and bald heads.
Because of the rocky, relatively inhospitable nature of Vallun Rinai, Vallaians rely heavily on trade to support themselves. They mine precious minerals and metals from their asteroids, and would trade them in for food, water, and other important resources. As such, they are very sensitive to when they are being cheated, and their sole form of currency is based on weight of objects. They also believe in a custom based on honesty, with merchants always telling the truth of their products and their prices. By not cheating their customers, they are promoting their customers not to cheat them. Or so conventional wisdom holds. There's currently no evidence supporting this technique.
With a heavy emphasis on trade, Vallun Rinai has become a trade port and his home to millions of citizens from various systems in their own cluster.
