I was wondering, outside of the big heart choices for relationships, do any of the other dialogue choices (logical, casual, professional, emotional) have any impact on how the game plays out?

Not really. It typically just changes the "flavor" of the character. It's just certain decisions at key points that really change anything in terms of the actual narrative.

The dialogue options give me the impression that we're being led along a narrow path with a tiny bit of leeway, I mentioned in other threads, it seems like a psych evaluation when you look at the trait stats, and it's got me wondering how these stats will play out in any sequel, it's obvious we're being setup, mysterious benefactor and all that goes with it, this is why I think we don't get to the bottom of Garson's death, the answers will come in a sequel.

So I needn't be concerned about playing a specific personality except for my own preference? Assuming I make the same decisions at the key points, no difference in the game if I play choosing emotional responses every time or if I choose professional every time?

no, the changes are some words and the tone, emotion, but not much else ther are no dfferent answers from the other characters, no different outcomes

At least if I play again, it'll make it much faster since I'll just skip through most of the dialogue then.

NPC responses are specific to the lines you choose; it's just that these branches may converge back to identical lines to get back to the subject at hand in some instances.

Dialogue choices are part of a cunning plan to fool people into thinking this is a Bioware title.

It's the same option like you had in DA2. Emotional Ryder will have some silly responses. Or Jaal says in the end: "Even at times like that you make stupid jokes, never change Ryder."
It has 0 effect on the game overall. It's the same with Inquisition with the races, you basically always have a human, with some dialogue variations. Nothing to write home about.
