Just finished my first PT and... at the end, when the team is gathered around Ryder, I realized I'd only completed 3 loyalty missions (Drack, Cora, & Vesta). Is anybody else finding the loyalty missions in general leave something to be desired, or is it because Jaal's was okay, but Peebee's and Liam's seemed like a waste of time?

Drack's was my favorite, but I really enjoyed Liam and Peebee's. The real problem with theirs is the level of fallout you're allowed (or not allowed) to have occur in aftermath dialogue, especially with Peebee, who could very well have killed herself along with Ryder and whoever else goes with you. That alone kind of sealed Kalinda's fate. Like, no bitch, you don't get to save "friends". Grab the swag we came to this shitty lava pit for so we can get out of here without totally wasting my time.

Liam's is one of better ones...funny and different in terms of level design. I enjoyed it. Same with Peebee's. Each "Loyalty mission" brought something different to the table from the rest of the game so I appreciated them. Didn't really find one that was a waste of time.

I loved the loyalty missions. Cora's is arguably the most important in terms of story development, but they are all fun and as said before, offer unique gameplay and environments. I thought the payoff's were pretty neat and we got some moral choice decisions to make in each one of them.
Liam - Lots of humor and sci-fi references in it. If you are like me it's a unique opportunity to take Liam out into the field Cora - Important to the Andromeda Initiative story - potentially important choice in future games Drack - Fun smash and grab type mission and the payoff of bringing a smug, self-serving thug down in the end Peebee - Unique environment with a morally grey choice at the end Jaal - Learn more about the Angara as a people as well as a potentially major final decision that could affect a faction in future installments Vetra - Awesome small new world to invade and a mission set up that felt reminiscent of ME games of old to me
Those are just some brief summaries. I did think the loyalty missions were fun and they all seemed to feed in to one of the several major plots going on throughout Andromeda and provided some great insight in to the characters as a whole.

Liam's....The loss of gravity part was alright. The rest......whatever. Drack's was alright Vetra wasn't bad the stowaway's...crap Cora's I like. I like that the Captain made the decision to choose another pathfinder after what the sarissa asari did. The other reason I like Cora's loyalty mission is because an asari pathfinder is needed for Captain Dunn to survive Jaal's was ok.

Liam and Peebee's were my favorites for the chaos, the Indiana Jones-ish adventure. I am not a hardcore Star Wars fan so I didn't originally catch the references in Liam's mission, but the humor still held up on its own. I enjoyed Drack's because that was really about giving someone a well-deserved kick in the ass. The mission came wrapped in a nice renegade bow (if that option is chosen) so I loved that all in all. The only thing I didn't like about Peebee's mission was the 512,594,353 stops we had to make first.
Jaal and Cora were both just OK for me. Cora's mission was pretty straightforward. I would have liked it more if she got upset or confronted Ryder for one of the choices in that mission. Jaal's mission seemed better suited for those romancing him if that makes sense. It was a teeny bit melodramatic for me in a couple places. Still liked it though.

Yeah, I thought Cora's was decent, so was Drack's - I probably would have changed the location to something other than an 'old mining facility.'

Due to RP reasons I did not do Drack's mission on the first PT, but the rest of them were rather fun. The only part that imo should have been trimmed was PeeBee's initial planet hop, because neither the locations themselves, nor the mini-challenges associated with them contributed much to her story. We've already met her ex, and we were aware she is always inventing something. The last segment of the mission was fine.

PeeBee, hands down had the best one in my opinion and I would go further in saying (yeah, I'm not having a stroke...) that her loyalty mission is one of the best in both franchises. One of the best and definitely in the top five. I kind of got jaded on Drack, but his was also great. There were bright spots in the storytelling, but unfortunately, priority over reloading a save and moving the narrative forward again or just skipping on it because damn it you just want to finish the game.

The other reason I like Cora's loyalty mission is because an asari pathfinder is needed for Captain Dunn to survive Cora's mission was the best. That final battle/cutscene where right beside you there was #space ( joshendriks ) was just beautiful. Plus, roaming around the delerict Ark with myself and Ryder thinking "That's what it looked like when we were traveling between galaxies for 600 years" was pure gold.

One thing about Cora's loyalty mission that I enjoyed quite a bit was fighting in the area of the ark that was breached, so the sound was heavily muffled. There's something about the effect of combat being drowned out by the thin/nonexistent atmosphere that was really satisfying.

I missed Liam's on my first playthrough simply because I missed meeting him in Aya as a link in the chain of event that lead to the loyalty missions. Plus, not liking the character after that armor scenario, I didn't give him much priority. But his mission did make up for it and it matched his scatterbrain approach.

Personally, I thought Ryder was the highlight of that mission. I loved the interrupts on the communication consoles. The way the ominous music cuts out abruptly is amusing.
