DAI had a pretty miserable selection of hairstyles. I mean, having half of them be different versions of a buzz cut may be okay for dude Inquisitors, but I had a pretty tough time choosing something for my female characters. But I'm sure Bioware heard the complaints. I'm not looking for anything outrageous or special. I just want something that looks normal XD Trust me, just because I'm dude who plays as dude does not mean I loved all those buzz cuts I hope we will have more hairstyles, it's about damn time!

I did like a few of them and I actually love the ponytail with the curly sides but yeah, I can see why the choices weren't exactly considered satisfying. As I've said before, hair is secondary to facial details to me so I wasn't as bothered as others were. That's why I considered the character creator in Dragon Age: Inquisition to be the best Bioware had ever had.

I've wondered about the dialogue system: do we know yet if it'll be like Inquisition's dialogue wheel with more options and indication icons?

What if they troll the fans by not giving us hair options but we get an assortment of hats to choose from instead? I didn't mind the DA:I hairstyles but I was disappointed that a few of the hair styles they had shown in artwork during the development phase looked amazing but were not made available in the game. I was quite pleased with the way my characters in DA:I turned out (except for the bright and glossy looking make up) so I am looking forward to seeing the CC in Andromeda. I just hope they don't make us go through a 10 minute cut scene right after making our character in case it does turn out hideous and we need to restart.

I've wondered about the dialogue system: do we know yet if it'll be like Inquisition's dialogue wheel with more options and indication icons? I believe it is going to be a bit more gray in terms of Paragon and Renegade options but I'm still not 100% sure if there will be indication icons as well. I think there are five reaction types though but I don't know if these are shown with icons or if this was how the writers catagorized them heart, head, professional, casual and something else. Sorry, I can't remember what the 5th one is and I'm a bit afraid to go searching for it online

1. What if they troll the fans by not giving us hair options but we get an assortment of hats to choose from instead? I just hope they don't make us go through a 10 minute cut scene right after making our character in case it does turn out hideous and we need to restart. 1. You know, I'd honestly be okay with that.
2. I got two concerns about the before and after the character creator. My concern about the before is that we’ll have a repeat of Mass Effect 2’s opening which is lengthy and unskippable due to being playable. My concern about the after is that we’ll have a long cutscene that is unskippable. Normally, I wouldn’t have the latter concern but Mass Effect 3’s opening had a bizarre mix of skippable and non-skippable cutscenes.
See, this is where having a Mirror of Transformation-esque tool would have come in handy since it means players can correct whatever creator mishaps without needing to reload and replay. basically negating a whole of player frustrations and complaints. Huh, what do you know, I guess I am a bit salty caramel as well about it's possible absence from the game.

I just hate having any of the game happen before the CC. I didn't like it in DA2 or DAI. ME2 wasn't quite as bad because there was a plot reason for it, and if you import, it's still "your" Shepard in the beginning. I want the first thing I do to be creating my character. I don't want to play the game, any part of it, with a generic.

My problem with Mass Effect 2’s opening could have been solved if they’d enabled saving but because they didn’t, you were stuck replaying the entire sequence over and over again if you wanted to fix a faulty creation. The opening lasts about nine minutes and since you have to actually play it, you can't even just go do something else until it enters the character creator.
I don't think I'd even be bothered by it if only they'd allowed saving or even had the game autosave outside Joker's cockpit since that would have meant you could simply reload back to that point instead of having to restart.

Recommended System Requirements •OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10 •CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD FX-8350 •RAM: 16 GB •GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 3 GB, AMD RX 480 4 GB •Hard Drive: At least 55 GB of free space •DirectX: DirectX 11
WHEW! THAT'S A RELIEF!!!I was worried a GTX 1080 would be the minimum, but it's not even the recommended. Or that Windows 10 would be mandatory. A 660 2 gig is really old and lower powered, though higher than the DAI min specs. Which makes me think the Low setting on MEA will be a smidge better than the Low settings on DAI. Bad news for laptop-only players, though. All of the following are at or above the 660 2gig, in ascending order of power. Nvidia: GTX 950, GTX 760, GTX 1050 Ti, GTX 960, GTX 670, GTX 580, GTX 770, GTX 680, GTX 590, GTX Titan, GTX 970, GTX 780/Ti, GTX 1060. AMD: RX 460, R7 370, R9 270/X, HD 7870, R9 285, R9 280, HD 7950, HD 7870 LE/XT, HD 5970, R9 380/X, R9 280X, HD 6990, R9 390/X, R9 290/X, RX 470, RX 480. I have a GTX 970, so yay, I don't have to upgrade just to play! When I first bought my gaming PC years ago, I was told my CPU was gross overkill with an 8 core i7. Now it barely meets the minimum spec, lol.

Well, I’ve checked my specs and everything except CPU (i7-2600k) and GPU (GTX 260) either meets the minimum or recommended system requirements. Gonna have to figure out what to do about those two. Any advice? I’m not very tech savy. Thankfully, I can always see the shop that built it about it.
Wait, is DirectX 12 fine or does it have to be DirectX 11 specifically?

According to the system information, it has 8,00 GB so I think it meets the minimum requirement. It also has DirectX 12, not DirectX10. Is that possible if GTX 260 does not support DX10 and DX11? Again, not very tech savy.

Are you using Windows 10? If so then it supports DX12 and below, that's why it probably show that it supports it which is true, but your GPU only supports DX10. And yes i72600k should be ok if you upgrade your GPU Better go with something new that supports DX11 and DX12 like GTX 1050/RX 470 or even slightly older GTX 960/ RX 370. If you can grab 4GB VRAM versions, more and more games likes more VRAM on GPU. Hope it helps.

I'm above minimum with my GPU since I upgraded it for DAI but my CPU is 6 yrs old this year. It's not even on the radar, I don't think. It is a quad core, but still ancient. Ugh, I really don't want to upgrade pretty much my entire system for one game. I'll probably get it anyway and try it out to see how it runs. I don't care about super low graphics settings as long as I can play the game. It can't be any worse than playing DAI in slow motion for almost my entire first PT. I had to relearn how to play once I upgraded the GPU and had to fight at "normal" speed.

This does help so very much so many thanks

Yes, it's good GPU, also it does say something about VRAM - notice the ''4GB'' which means GPU VRAM Glad to help

What's your CPU? We can check benchmarks, it might not be too bad.
CPU is AMD Phenom 9850 2.5Ghz. I've got 8GB RAM and my GPU is an R9 270, with 2GB I think.
So, I'm nowhere near recommended but OK for min, except for the CPU.

DAI also had an arry of hairstyles that would have not been suitable for Shepard. Thanks for the info, but I am not buying into the hype. I am still sour over the fact that Bioware will not allow us to edit our characters once we leave Character Creation. I think the reason I’m more inclined to believe it is because Bioware is making this claim after Dragon Age: Inquisition's criticisms about hair has happened. Basically, it seems like they’re intentionally building up expectations but then again, it may be that IGN is misrepresenting their words and Bioware was actually just making a joke about their usual luck with hair.
The lack of a Mirror of Transformation-esque object does suck but I'm still holding out hope that something will be implemented post-release. Hope burns eternal and all that.
Thank you for the update on hair it sounds promising! That we can do so much in the CC really makes it more irritating not to have any way to change your character once you have started the game. I like to go in after a really big boss-fight and give my character a scar or something. In DAII my Hawke started out with military super-short hair since she had been fighting with Carver, then in the third chapter she had long pretty hair since she now was a noblewoman. It was fun to let your charcter progress, change according to the game, let the story that takes place visually change them as well. I am also hoping for some sort of medbay/mirror/something! to be added later on. It really does make life so much easier, especially if you are not that talented in the character creating department. In mass effect I just got myself the code of a character I liked and then reloaded that one pretty much every time. Being able to change and tweak without restarting the game everytime would make a lot more fun to try to create different characters. Besides, that means that you can spend a nice evening in CC tweaking and perfecting your character which I would like. There are plenty of times I load up Sims 4 just in order to play around in CC and save a few fun sims. I could see myself doing that in ME:A if it was possible.

Possible absence from the game? Mass Effect has never had a Mirror of Transformation type thing, so I'm not sure where the expectation that it will have one is coming from. Did I miss an announcement? It would be a nice surprise if it were there, but I'm not expecting it. Kinda like when it turned up in DA2, it was a nice surprise.
