The Doctor did save her in the library though, uploaded her consciousness to the library's hard drive after she sacrificed herself. She's in a virtual world and she's safe.
THAT Doctor saved her in the library, but like... she is kinda still dead... I hope theres a way he can stop her from being uploaded, thats what I meant
But she sacrificed herself to stop everyone dying, or...i can't remember but it was pretty important to do that. She has to do it. I don't know how the Doctor could get her out of that.

Hey. Yeah it's gonna be great to see her in the role huh? The reason why the recent series weren't that great is pretty much because of the showrunner, Steven Moffat. He's not that great at it imo. Good news though, he's leaving and a new showrunner is taking over, and the show is about to be shaken up and have some new life breathed into it with the first female Doctor, so it's a great time to start watching. The Doctor and River's story is kinda done i guess? I'm not sure they'll meet again, they might though, and that would be lovely to see what happens. Well I know shell end up in the library and die EVENTUALLY (although I hope the doctor will save her when the time comes), but like... I want her to be in the show forever because shes amazing The Doctor did save her in the library though, uploaded her consciousness to the library's hard drive after she sacrificed herself. She's in a virtual world and she's safe. EDIT: And the last time we saw her was at the singing towers and after that she went to the library, that's kinda it. Although she did communicate with Matt Smith's doctor from the hard drive.

Over the course of the last 4 series I thought most episodes were boring, except for a few, and those few always happened to be written or co-written by Moffat. My favorite Dr. Who episode ever, 'Don't Blink!' was written by Moffat. And another episode that blew me away was that two-parter with Capaldi's doctor stuck in hell/limbo with that demonic creature hunting him down through a castle. That stuff was amazing and also co-written by Moffat. Oh yeah, don't get me wrong Moffat is capable of doing well. I love the episode 'Blink', and that one with the castle is called 'Heaven Sent', and is hands down my favourite Capaldi episode, brilliant. Here's the thing though, he's great at setting up the final of a series with the episode before it (Dark Water, Heaven Sent) but the finals themselves fall flat (Hell Bent, oh my god that fell flat). And i'm just not a fan of his writing alot of the time. Regardless, he's had the show for a long time, and it's about time for someone new to have a go, gotta keep things fresh, cannot stay still.

Female Wolverine (although X-23 had been around for some time prior) X-23 isn't female Wolverine though. Sure, she donned his costume for a while but for the most part she has been her own person who happened to have the same powers as Logan due to her being a clone of him. Here's female Iron Man, who isn't just female, but also black with a huge afro (how's that ever gonna fit on that helmet?) and a teenager... And is any of that a problem?

She looks like she'll be awesome Admittedly I havent been watching the show long, Id heard of it but never ever seen it until my now-fiancée asked me if I wanted to watch a show about an old guy who lives in a box who lures young women and gives them an adventure of a lifetime I havent seen any of the more recent series, she said they were bad and not worth watching, the most recent thing I saw was the doctor regenerating and he turned into an old guy so... idk, I think Missy would be the only reason Id watch the more recent ones... or River Song She definitely seems good for the part from what (little) ive seen... I have literally no idea why its a controversial thing for an alien who can literally become someone else to become a woman er one time out of I-have-no-idea-how-many like chances are it would have happened like five or more times already so eh, but its the expected people so I hope they pick up where Matt Smith (?) left off, with the music and the tone and things, although just the music would be good it was very fun for me to watch, although the one before him was amazing too I dont recognize her, which is going with the general trend of things... the only doctor I recognized as an actor was the first one I saw because he was in the GI Joe movie, I also recognized Amy Pond because she was in Guardians of the Galaxy, and Rory because he went on to lead the Legends of Tomorrow (a crossover between Legends of Tomorrow and Doctor Who would be like the best thing) My main question would be basically: The Doctor and River are er... I dont know what they are, kinda a couple??? Will there be a kissing scene??? Because that would just be the BEST... although unlikely Hey. Yeah it's gonna be great to see her in the role huh? The reason why the recent series weren't that great is pretty much because of the showrunner, Steven Moffat. He's not that great at it imo. Yeah, it will probably exist in time. I think because it's a ship that has no chance of actually happening it's less likely to turn up. Something like Liara/Jaal still could happen technically, she would still be alive and technology might have advanced enough to get to Andromeda very quickly...or Grunt/Jaal. Now THAT'S a couple. Yeah Liara/Jaal I could see because of PeeBee/Jaal, but my silly way of thinking is, Kaidan was written by the writers who wrote Liam and Jaal, so Kaidan would be perfect for Jaal imo. I love Grunt! I love all Krogan so much! Heck when I flirt with Drack, his response affects me more than any other guy I've flirted with in MEA lol I didn't get the Drack flirt because I was already locked in with best boyfriend Jaal, but that's better because Drack kinda became a father figure for my Scott, similar to how Anderson kinda became a father figure for my Colonist Shepard.

You think there's Kaidan/Jaal art/fics somewhere on the internet? Just wondering...for reasons. Haha I just checked, but couldn't find anything. It should exist imo. Maybe someone will request it? Yeah, it will probably exist in time. I think because it's a ship that has no chance of actually happening it's less likely to turn up. Do you mean Kaidan and Jaal getting together? Because yeah, I can see that happening. They'd be quite the couple. Yep! It was a question someone tweeted to Ian on Twitter yesterday. You think there's Kaidan/Jaal art/fics somewhere on the internet? Just wondering...for reasons.

Hmm maybe shep would have to have taken Garrus then. lol I mainly picked those two because tali is the techi and Thane is really calm and collected. I actually forgot Jaal said that line about the Quarians. How about Kaidan and Jaal? Do you mean Kaidan and Jaal getting together? Because yeah, I can see that happening. They'd be quite the couple.

It's just funny how, following the mass departure of a substantial chunk of the LGBT posters, this thread screeched to a complete halt until just now. Crazy coincidence, right? It's almost like we were completely holding up this thread, keeping it alive, interesting and fun. Huh.

Yep, definitely no politics there. Totally not hypocritical. I am incapable of being political or hypocritical. I am a white male and, like all white males, I am nothing more than an objectively correct, politically neutral, universally relatable everyman. Nothing I do could possibly be construed as political or offensive in any way, unless you're a homosocialist feminazi tumblrina looking for reasons to get upset. Of course, Nothing you do can possibly be construed as political or offensive, so you can just say whatever you want. It doesn't matter right?

A perfect impression, Panda. Impression? Are you implying that I practise satire? But... satire is politics! How dare you imply that I would besmirch the art medium of forum posts by injecting political messages! I don't have political opinions, I'm just here to defend the purity of art. The gender and racial purity of art. Yep, definitely no politics there. Totally not hypocritical.

A female Doctor is Feminazi pandering. The twelve previous white male protagonists were just good storytelling. Politics has no place in art! It's not in Orwell's novels, it's not in Shakespeare's plays and it has definitely NEVER been in Doctor Who, a show about a man who travels through time and space examining and correcting systemic injustice. What's next? Are the Daleks going to be turned into a thinly veiled metaphor for proponents of racial superiority and ethnic cleansing? Is the next companion going to be a black lesbian? Don't make me laugh! Anyone who disagrees with me is just a pathetic, attention-seeking, SJW, special-snowflake crybaby! Now excuse me while I harass the showrunners and actors on their various social media platforms. A perfect impression, Panda.

I haven't been this hyped for Doctor Who in a long time. It's something fresh, and the show needs to be shaken up, it's how it's lasted this long. So I'm very excited, and after seeing a woman in the role for the first time I've realised that I got pretty bored of a white man 12 times...so bring it on. I love this.

Hey y'all. I'll give the demon it's due. Bioware stepped up and fixed their mistake. I think I will actually purchase Andromeda now...when it goes on sale. There's no way in The Water Temple Bioware is getting $60+ outta me after all this shit. In the meantime I'll be occupying myself with this: www.nexusmods.com/masseffect/mods/80/?This is a mod for Mass Effect 1 that allows same-sex romances without the often associated issues. It uses unused dialog so your Shepard is not misgendered and uses same-sex silhouettes during the sex scene. The save carries over to ME2 and ME3 but the issues within those respective games remain. Enjoy. ^^^^^ Just a reminder. Took a decade but we can play Mass Effect as it was intentioned finally. Happy Pride!!! -And as ariatloak points out, the mod is available for Xbox as well. - The original reddit post I believe: https://www.reddit.com/r/masseffect/comments/5vvrz9/samesex_romances_mod_for_me1_released/ Wait what? How is it available for Xbox?

Ahhh the same old arguments that "[insert minority groups] are never happy/satisfied" and that "[insert minority groups] are only x% of the population" therefore they don't deserve equal representation/romance options. I swear some homophobes are so lazy that they are now plagiarizing these arguments lol. I know, it looked like it was copied straight from 'homophobia 101'. Like, at least have some originality when you're being an awful human being.

Coming from a textbook homophobe, that's funny. I don't find that funny at all. Have I used any derogatory terms towards you or anyone else in this thread? I consider being called a homophobe an insult. I've treated everyone in this thread with respect and, in turn, have been met with snide comments, insults and what appears to be a shit emoji. Continue to attack me because of my sexual orientation and I may have to report you for hate speech. If you don't like being called a homophobe, stop being homophobic. And Tekehu's booty has already explained to you twice how you are being homophobic, so if you forget again, I will be seriously worried for you. Oh wait, no I won't, at all.

also, I learnt that spending time with homophobes is not worth it, it's more fun to poke around and taking this with humour :poop: because it's useless that I explain to you that we had only two characters with limited content and censorship, and no squadmate. It's useless I tell you that there're a lot of people happy with Jaal. When you are using numbers and stadistics to undervalue lgbtq people, because we are lesser persons. ANYWAY KEEP CRYING You are making a lot of assumptions. You should try being more open minded and less judgemental. But you seem very immature so I'll give you a pass. Coming from a textbook homophobe, that's funny.
