Master strike? Do you mean perfect parry? That itself can be defended againist with a perfect parry of your own. Master strike is an unblockable riposte, it requires to perfect parry/block but also matching weapon direction to trigger. You need to go train with Captain Bernard a second time (no quest tied to doing that and it cost money) to learn about it and also learn about combos.

Is that what they call the followup strike to the perfect parry? I admit I missed it and thought it's considered just a part of perfect parry. But yes, according to my knowledge, a perfect parry/master strike can be countered by another perfect parry.

Interesting fact: Haven't seen those glitches on my potato. Neither did I. The most I've seen is an odd NPC treadmilling against an object but they don't get stuck too long.

I'm not sure where you take your knowledge, but the master strike riposte happens when someone countered by a perfect parry/block is still unbalanced, there is no way to counter that. See the training for it.

Could be the language difference (I obviously play in native/original tongue) but I think it says riposte can be parried with a perfect parry. I'll take a look tomorrow.

You can't, you do not control your character when it happens (on the receiving end or when doing it), the entire thing is a locked animation.

KCD Did some McLovin. I can't get pickpocketing figured out. Sometimes it's red, sometimes it's green. Am I suppose to find the sweet spot like lockpicking? 90% of the time its always red in the practise session and I can never figure out how to get the green or bright green when a selection will open and you have to quickly grab what's in there. Whenever I try to close off after picking the item. I'm always caught. Is this bugged? There're no tips either on what the player should be doing. P.S. Ok, I figured to let go of E when the needle hit the notch during the stealing process, the menu pops up and player has to quickly rotate the grabbing ring to open up the closed doors. Then what? How to close the whole menu? I did a few grabs and couldn't close the menu and was caught. At a few points, the menu popped up and I was told it was a successful task but the miller just stood there and never acknowledged. Nor is the dagger in the inventory. Imo, pickpocketing is an assinine mini-game. Who tf has the time to pick and choose what things to grab? Not playing this mini-game. I find stealing and lockpicking not really paying. Lockpicking is still useful to open other paths. I make most money by going poaching and selling the meat. Imo, the earning balance is kinda out of whack, it's mostly the amount of meat deer generates. I don't complain - I'm out in the fresh air of the woods and can practice my shitty bow skills. That's true. I've seen the results of PP and at the most, you bypass LP and open a chest / door easily. Other than that, just a few coins and not much else. Killing bandits, selling their gear and poaching raked in more money. Later on in the game, you make a lot more from all the stuff picked up; I've seen streamers with chests with 20 over swords, etc etc, a huge list, waiting to be sold. I hope they don't change the item value with the next patch.

Showdown in Pribislavice . I guess this concludes the 2nd act? Anyway, well-orchestrated battle and welcome change to the usual roaming around alone. It is scripted, but that prevents it becoming a mess like Warband castle sieges (though that carnage was always funny - esp. on defence). I heard about a player that only checked Bernard for master strikes and combos just before that fight. Dude must be a real try-hard - can you believe running around like that? Maybe he was just clueless. Anyway, I beat the boss - and it felt kinda easy? Too easy. It might be that I used those master strikes on him, up to now I had real trouble getting hits through even mook's blocking skills. Not to even mention landing combos I might hadn't unlocked properly. Also: Bought new horse. Thank you Pebbles, you'll be OK at Novihof. Found out there is horse clothing so I bought something red to make it go faster. Still can't figure out what makes stuff deteriorate so fast even when not fighting. Esp. Gambeson. It isn't sleeping in them. Running around in forests?

I've considered playing on original voice-over with english subs, but I reserve that for a second playthrough. I might learn something - at least I might recognize stuff - I'd now about a houfnice when I'd hear it.

Howitzers? In the 15th century?
Am I missing something? It's supposed to be a good long while before CANNONS appear on the battlefield in the worldwide sense. Howitzers are 19th century matter, I think.
You're probably looking for Trebuchets or Ballistae. Which should be their proper plural forms, but fucked if I know. That, or you're already referencing Píšťala? Those are Hussite weapons, and I don't think they're mentioned in documents BEFORE the Hussite wars.

Not the modern howitzers, I guess houfnice was about some kind of early mortars/field gun. Shooting stone balls, I guess.

Stone? I can't recall stone being used as a projectile other than arrows. And in slingshots, granted.
Also a howitzer in the early periods fits between mortars and cannons. You can sometimes in modern times hear of cannon howitzers, but that's a bit of an unknown to me.
What you're probably referring to, since you're talking about a siege (I haven't seen one in the story yet) is either a trebuchet or a ballista, as I've already mentioned. Can you describe what it looks like?

Pishtalero DLC confirmed? Do they have plans to make an expansion? Lets start by fixing bugs and adding the remaining KS stretch goals that they cut from the game release (tournaments, playable female questline and the dog, also finishing the polearms and adding in crossbows). I think they plan to move to work on another game once they got all the KS stretch goals in. They didn't want to start with the Hussite Wars right away, but their goal is to cover them (or part of them).

I was initially looking for the fella after the prologue and was a bit disappointed. That would be a fine companion for the hunt and adventure.

Are they going to patch this anytime soon? Thinking of getting it in March, but from gameplay footage I've seen, there's seemingly a lot of bugs and performance issues that have me hesitant. And the combat still looks like it would be rather unenjoyable at least when merely watching someone else play.
