Damn, I could list so many of them. But not enough time. So I'll list just one, THE one. For me. The Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind I just fell in love with it, and I still am. Never played another game that managed to capture me so much. I can't wait for Skywind to come out. As much as I love Morrowind, watching my character run in that game just kills me. Also, Cliff Racers. One word, my friend: mods!

I seem to mod just about everything else! That said, it was rather satisfying to build a massive, lag generating train of Cliff Racers before turning around and fireballing the stuffing out of them. Shame about the respawn.

My toplist, not in any specific order is Planescape: Torment, the story was just breathtaking! Baldur's Gate 2, story again and also romances, oh Anomen... and later I found this amazing Edwin romance mod. Also I prefer BG2 over BG1.
From another genres Master of Orion 2, absolute favorite! Monkey Island 1,2 and 3, epic! The later Monkey Islands were not so good, imo Sam and Max hit the road, another LucasArts diamond

I am decidedly not a PC gamer, but I'd give serious consideration to picking up KotOR and KotOR 2 for PC, particularly to play the second game with the restored content. It always bothered me how "gutted" the back half of that game is. It was clear from the first playthrough that the game wasn't finished. Shame that, considering some of the fun additions they'd made in the sequel, and how much I'd enjoyed some of the crew. As someone who owns Kotor 2 four times (Xbox, PC disk, Steam and GOG) I will tell you that this is one of the greatest decisions ever. There are a ton of moments that make it feel like a new game and makes me feel like the game would have got an 'M' rating had it shipped with all the content If you train Atton as a Jedi or Sith, he faces off against Darth Sion and if he loses, he loses his arms and legs, dying in your arms. Also, while the HK-50 factory is kinda boring, you get to witness HK-47 give the greatest speech of all time. And while not much, you do get a bunch of moments like this that shed some light on how strained the Sith Alliance really is:

I also now suspect that all of the people putting KotOR 2 on their list are thinking of this "restored" version. As good as the retail version was, it was clearly missing all of these type of moments. It's great to know that they've been restored.

As good as the retail version was, it was clearly missing all of these type of moments. It's great to know that they've been restored. It's a whole new game and adds about six to eight more hours of content (at least, my playtime average of 18 hours increased by that much with the mod running). I'm just glad the Kotor 2 community is as dedicated as it is and that Obsidian left all the files intact (especially the voice ones).

Classice Tomb Raider is one my favorites of all time. I was blown away when playing the original. The concept of running around in a 3D world exploring tombs was so exciting to me. The reboot is also great (haven't played Rise of the Tomb Raider yet) but I feel it still pales in comparison to the old classics. The original TR and TR4: The Last Revelation are probably my two favorites.

while i have no idea which "The Best Video Games of All Time" are i can share my top 5 2. Binary Domain 1. Alpha Protocol Interesting. Grabbed those two at steam sales some years ago, but they have been gathering dust among many others I have bought but never played. Given that the copy of ME 1 I bought at a sale shared the same fate for two years, maybe I should look them up again.

The Longest Journey Probably my favorite game of all time. Old point and click adventure game with a really great protagonist.
The Witcher saga I love all three of them equally.
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magic Obscura Old-fashioned RPG with steampunk setting. Long, long time since I played it, but remember I loved it.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines RPG where you play as a vampire! Really enjoyable, fun and unique.
Gone Home First person point and click with a really nice atmosphere.

Apart from Bioware games... Master of Orion - the best 4X game out there. Better than 2 IMO. I'd still be playing it if I could get the DOSbox settings right in Win10. Civilization - it was great. The sequels have added a lot of features, but they've corrupted the core gameplay in the process Railroad Tycoon - The start of it all for me (at least on PC however...) Star Wars - my original arcade game, yes actually in the arcade. XCOM - both the 90's original and the recent remake (although XCOM2 is a bit of a disappointment). EU/EW is the game of the decade so far. Hearts of Iron 1/2/3 - they're all good in different ways. HoI 1 became known as "the game that ate my life" it was so addictive. Crusader Kings 2 - fantastic strategy game with hoards of quality DLC. Betrayal at Krondor - the cRPG that other writers should still aspire to, even if the mechanics and graphics are a bit dated. Rome Total War - actually the Europa Barborum mod for RTW. Simply fantastic! Modding at the pinnacle of the art.

Although I might be biased, cos it has fighter planes.

Just thought of a few other games that I loved. Metal Gear Solid on the original Playstation was awesome. Loved the music and the cutscenes. Metal Gear Solid 3 was fantastic. That ending!
Another game I liked, which may not be too well known, was Eternal Darkness on Nintendo's Gamecube. That game was a blast! Every now and then it would make you feel like you were going crazy. You would see a bug crawling on the screen, or it would act like your tv was having problems. Great game!
