Where does it say that that was Kelly's only role? I'll save you some time, it never says that while it does say the opposite so you are pulling that out of thin air.
I say it is, because all she does all game long is tell me I have new messages, usually when I don't. Her purpose on the ship was to spy on Shepard and report back to TIM. That is my opinion and her confession in ME3 supports that. How she fulfilled that purpose was up to her.
Ooh, a bug in a video game. Clearly that is evidence of an insidious plot. :tinfoil: No, her purpose was to: serve as a yeoman, serve as a sort of informal therapist, relay information about the others to Shepard, and report on the well-being of everyone to her boss same as literally every other person in that position would. I bet if she did it for the Alliance, like Joker does in ME3 for example, you wouldn't care. Who did you romance?

Serving as yeoman is the role that allows her to fulfill her purpose.

Did I take a wrong turn at some point? I thought this was the Anthem forum not the Mass Effect forum...

Naw, there was a hidden romance with Kelly, which I actually found the most natural of all. She seemed interested in me, not just my awesome bod, but how I was doing as well, how I felt about everything. THAT was real. I didn't even HAVE to roleplay to feel her concern. Most others just blabbed about their own problems, and rewarded me with hot alien shmex if I solved it.
That's what made the Garrus friendship so great, your bond just filled up with situations you were in together. No ulterior motives, just buddying.
Yay, another Kelly Chambers romance fan! Favorite romance in the Shepard Trilogy. Thinking about what they reduced her character to in ME3 still gets me mad They could've done so much with her! Spy for the illusive man, continued romance, continued assitance on normandy, ... run a strip joint?

There was nothing we could do about it, we were too late. I think the Illusive Man stiil might have got the message.

Nah, we're just demonstrating why no romances in Anthem is probably a good thing.
Hanako Ikezawa In the game I mentioned, I romanced Garrus. Not sure what relevance that has?
