What's the little anchor thingy? I believe that is a way to show this thread is being weighed down so it will go to the bottom of the thread list quicker. For example a new post won't put it back on top of the list like normal.

I hope it is the most critically accalimed game Bioware ever made, just to spite people who make topics like these. The vocal minority you claim to be so grand is on the left hand side of the IQ normalised distribution anyway. Nobody of matter cares. Mentions IQ. Spells incorrectly. Your post is butthurt. I also hope it is the best game they have ever made. I would buy it! I think it might be ok. Well spotted, typo's are the clearest unequivocal indicator of reduced intelligence quotient.
And well spotted again! (what are ye, a pirate?) It is butthurt sarcasm. Way to interpretate!

On one hand i don't wan't bioWaare to fail and to get out of business. And that's exactly what will happen iuf Anthem will fail EA's expectations. At the same, if Anthem will succeed, then there likely won't be any reason for BioWare to return to the old type of games.
Just a few months ago Epic Games shut down their TPS Moba Paragon. Not because it was unprofitable, but because their other project (Fortnite) has blown up in popularity. No point in wasting time on something that's not gonna make you as much money as the other project.
I fear the same might happen to Anthem. If it indeed will become the second Destiny - why bother with something that's not as successful?
SWTOR was successful just ennough to not overshadow the traditional, more rliable projects.
So, in the essence - i don't wan't Anthem to succed, but neither do i wan't it to fail miserably.

None of the options quite sum up my feelings. i don't want it to be a raging success(as that will do nothing good for single player RPG's that are what i'd be interested in buying from Bioware) but neither do i want it to be a crushing failure(as that would likely lead to little good for Bioware either).

Reminder: Personal attacks will not be tolerated, no matter how innocuously worded. 1 Post removed. Okay. But be prepared to have your inbox flooded with "innocuously worded" personal attacks against me. Look dude, I don't envy the position I'm putting you in. But if you side with him, I certainly hope you realize what light that puts you in. This is all in regards to your not being in the tank already. Then maybe you should report some of them (properly, so the entire mod team can evaluate), if they've escaped notice. Once evaluated, appropriate action will be taken, if necessary. Note this is not an invitation to spam reports either. Despite what contemporary politics would have you believe, not everything is "my/our side or the other side". I really don't care what the sides are, I barely even skimmed the arguments. What I do care about, is abiding by the Rules & Expectations.

Next thing you know its going to be thermal clips versus overheating. Thermal clips were better. There's nothing wrong with hair in BioWare games. It was also possible to get the ME3 'best ending' without multiplayer. I liked collecting Shards. And the Warden should return in DA4 (stands back)

So yeh. Have fun with your little kingdom of 42 people. Be careful not to stare into the abyss, for the abyss also stares back into you. Be careful when fighting monsters, lest ye become a monster. And I guess you know that to these 42 other monsters comparative to the entire rest of the net, that this is a place of wondrous horrors. You know that right? Of course you don't. Because you're letting this fuck get away with murder. Just like all the rest of the monsters. *shrug* Hope ya have a blast.

I'm sorry if this topic comes off as baity to some. The main reason for why I brought it up is because I found a great deal of Bioware Fans (or fans of their games) were discouraged with the fact that Anthem doesn't appear to tout the single-player experience that Bioware is generally known for. While I'm hopeful that the game will turn out well, I see a lot of people disparaged by the fact that Bioware decided to go this route, rather than just sticking to the ME,DA formula. I'm happy that a majority of people are more open-minded than what the internet might suggest, but sometimes it bugs me when I see people getting so upset with a developer stepping into a genre (or setting) they unfamiliar with. Genres evolve by the ideas brought to them, and sometimes you need someone who comes from an unassuming place to push it forward. Do I think Bioware will do that with Anthem and the shared-world shooter genre? I don't know. If the game were to fail, I think there's still something to be gained by what Bioware brought to the table, even though - for the developer - it certainly can be devastating.
These games aren't gonna continue to improve if developers, who specialize and mostly stay within a specific genre, are the only ones innovating within said genre. Sometimes you need an outside perspective that can bring something unique to the table. Im sure there are those who think the type of game Anthem is is EA's doing (as their counter to Destiny), but we also know that Anthem was conceptualized well before Destiny released in 2014. I don't expect gamers to have to like Anthem, but I would hope they'd at least allow their beloved developers to take a break to try something new from time to time.

Anything SJW affiliated should fail tbh. Bioware needs to change course and constant setbacks work towards that. The game itself looks uninspired and boring, too much grind, in essence an MMO eith better graphics and less players.
