This a huge gaming news but Bungie splits with Activision and will published Destiny on its own in the future.
A very interessing development but what does mean for Anthem? Will EA also give up on Anthem if it isn´t a big success? I had the Impression that Anthem only exists because EA needs his own Destiny.

All due honestly? In the short term nothing will change all the content that they had produced will be released as scheduled. In the medium /long time we will see if they will kick out the top management that handled the disastrous run of destiny 1 and 2 and hire back the lead writer and director that left the production

Bungie won't have those resources anymore which could affect release schedule.

If they weren't a completely bunch of fools they should have been able to negotiate the delivery of those contents. Also I'm pleased that the amount of Imbecilles that praise the end of the reign of the "evil" overlord Activision is quite low and mostly ignored

I'm not convinced it means anything particularly. Anthem is in BioWare's hands to make a success of. EA is still supporting more Mass Effect. And Anthem was a BioWare directed project long before Destiny's original launch. If this means Destiny is awesome in future, that's not a downside for consumers - BioWare games will need to be awesome too.

Cus "EVILLLLL PUBLISHER!!!". They also keep asking when Blizzard or BioWare are going to leave next which is just ridiculous, for one Bungie was never owned by Activision and apparently Activision were just as happy as Bungie to part ways. Which really makes you wonder what was going on.

Vicarious Visions works on the Crash Team Racing Remake but High Moon Studios have only worked on Destiny. I suspect that Activision will likely close High Moon Studios.

I cannot really tell ya but I'm sure Anthem will not suffer because of it.

I don't see how it would effect anthem. Seems it would Effect the actual destiny game (if Activision was really the problem which I don't see that👍)) more than anything.
It gives destiny a boost simply cause people love to scapegoat publishers more than the devs and Activision isn't held on a pedestal.

All true but not having to worry too much about a direct competitor is definitely a plus for anthem atm For sure, but anything Bungie does isn't going to drop immediately if not for many many months. A wide selection of great games is a good problem to have.

For all the information that are known about destiny development it's self evident that Activision left ample liberties to bungie in the development and this led to a basically born dead franchise. Even if the 1st destiny was undoubtedly a commercial success everything that followed was basically an endless succession of problems with bungie clearly struggling in maintaining the promises that made to their fanbase and I speculate to Activision

I'm not convinced it means anything particularly. Maybe but i believe that EA is aware of many comparisons between Anthem and Destiny. You can bet that they will analyze that mean for Anthem and its future. When the industry leader Activision abandons this kind of game its definitely a signal through the gaming industry.

That's the real problem for Activision right now. From one side I cannot see the point the people make when they Express they distress I the change that are happening I blizzard management but on the hand if I put in the shoes of the people in Activision management that find themselves with a studio that employs hundreds of people that MAYBE will release a game every 5 years.....

Devs with experience are a vital resource for the big publishers now, they are really hard to replace. They aren't going to throw that away unless they have to. And both those studios have experience now of supporting other studios' projects. That can be very useful for Activision.

But High Moon Studios? I don´t think that they have a future. The big problem that Activision alone (Not Blizzard. Formal its seperate company) has is that they only have Call of Duty and latterly Crash and Sypro as their big IPs. Everything else was either abandoned or sold.
Both studios could create new IPs but i doubt that Activision is willing to take this risk.

It's kinda not really that seperate, and High Moon Studios was working on a game with Bungie, who was not owned by Activision, and on an IP that Activision also did not own. So I'm not really seeing what's stopping High Moon Studios from working on a Blizzard project, especially when Activision wants Blizzard to release some games.
