Zero impact on Anthem or Bioware.
Time will tell if Bungie will know how to handle the production of another game.

To be honest Bungie is far different from the Halo era bungle. I don’t understand why people are acting like they’re innocent victims when most of Destinys problems are Bungies fault.

Because some people like to fool themselves thinking everything is going to be magically solved now that the evil overlord Activision is done and Bungie will turn into the company of their dreams.

They do have an opportunity to pursue a more relaxed profit margin though ... but I'm kind of in a cautiously optimistic wait and see state of mind concerning Destiny.

Eh, I've been on ResetEra were that kind of talk is very high. Cus "EVILLLLL PUBLISHER!!!". They also keep asking when Blizzard or BioWare are going to leave next which is just ridiculous, for one Bungie was never owned by Activision and apparently Activision were just as happy as Bungie to part ways. Which really makes you wonder what was going on. It's the same people claiming that bioware could just leave EA if they want, or told them to leave multiple times. There is Two possibilities with these people, either they are unaware of the situation (not knowing that EA OWNS bioware and this is not a partnership) or they are delusional. Because they want BW out of EA so much that they think BW can leave in any ways, tons of them rejecting reality and substitutes their own. And this is far from being a new phenomenon, I have been on jim sterling videos and there is a comments telling bioware to sever ties EA, now the problem is not the existence of the comments but the thousand likes it has. It's the same thing I have seen on a battlefield 5 video where a guy says " of course no german campaign" with approximately 600 likes, even if there was an announced german campaign months ago. Tons of people do not inform themselves on situation before making a comments. It's not the first time it's going to happen and won't be the last. It's almost like cancerous shit like Jim Sterling or Yongyea breed an entire generation of entitled hysteric teen unable to apply the most basic level of self control, logic and critical sense...oh wait
They do have an opportunity to pursue a more relaxed profit margin though ... but I'm kind of in a cautiously optimistic wait and see state of mind concerning Destiny. Actually it's the exact opposite. With their parting bungie lost it's economical safety net, no more freebies, no more discount every penny come directly from them and this lead to NEED more revenues, so yeah do not expect any decrease in the aggressive practice for increasing their gain because from now they need MORE money for staying afloat not less.
Go ask obsidian how is to leave like that.

Well Obsidian never pursued the avenue of intense monetization so I am not sure I agree. I think not being beholden to shareholders means they (Bungie) can forge a path of sustainability rather than unchecked growth.
EDIT: Not saying they will, they might add even more to the Eververse store. We are definitely going to find out.
EDIT 2: Obsidian started doing better when they aligned their budget and target audience in a more realistic way.

I was referring to living and working with Damocles sword hanging over your head. You can count these kind of studios on the finger on one had and this mainly because they are the most fragile, a single misstep can cause their fall.

Entirely dependant on their financial strength. But without them being listed company I wouldn't know.

Saying employee or employees (which can fit everyone from simply programmers goon to the top executive ) further this idea that bad decisions came from the whole company and not from actually a small group of people with the actual power to took them. It's stuff like this, these broad terms used without malice but without actual thought , that push forward the general Demonization of gaming companies.

They also might need to scale down their expectations for sales and budget accordingly. Not everything is going to take the world by storm and sell 'all the damn copies'. Focus on who your core fans/customers are and target that demographic.

I don't the full details of it (that was just a hunch). Also, was that the first or second time the game was messed up with its development? Feel like there was something else as well.

- The amount of time spent on pre production chasing that impossible goal
- And the switch of the 3D modeling software in the middle of the actual production who forced the animator to start from 0 with half the time to complete the whole game

Nope he did left but the story was already complete Um, that's debatable. No it's not. The story was complete from start to finish they had to adapt it to a botched gameplay format without the time needed to polish it. The whole problem with andromeda was that they had to assemble a game with peace of gameplay from 3 different genres,RPGs, actions , shooters and survivals

The problem is they now have a Chinese mobile game maker sitting on their Board of Directors with a minor stake in the company and a very large wallet at Bungie with NetEase and the $100 million they bought that with.

I'm well aware of the management issues through the development.
