Probability is a measure quantifying the likelihood that events will occur. Belief is trust, faith, or confidence in someone or something. ie. Your belief in your probability. There are developers here, there's a probability some of them are good, and even better than developers from Bioware, once again you just add belief everywhere cause YOU need it Also you're more entertaining when you put Arnold GIFs ;-)

If it survives the year, I will like I said earlier, I will be mildly shocked. In earlier days, I would have had more hope. But at the rate it's going now... And with how dubiously the succes story of the cataclysm is shaping up to be... The game might live, but the player base certainly won't.

I have to say I'm a bit surprised EA hasn't shut them down and given their IPs to other developers. Somehow they must still be making them money. EA has shut down studios before that were putting out more polished games. Some people at EA seem to still have faith that Bioware can turn things around with Anthem.

Some people are super-delusional. I think this should b posted again. Nobody even is interested in watching Anthem. A game from 7-8 years ago has more viewers. Matchmaking seems to be a problem (for a game who deceived over 3 million people to buy it). Cataclysm has failed to bring back players and it's very mediocre. In the game itself players are doing the same thing over and over again, the critical points and bosses are lame and there is no true RPG element in the game, just mere armor and weapons skins aka loot. Why would anyone wastes his time playing this game for 30 hours for some petty weapons? Aren't games like Warframe and Overwatch better than Anthem? Or aren't (even vanilla) Borderlands games much better games because they have actual engaging plot&story and missions and much better boss fights? Ignoring actual Bioware fans who wanted to play singleplayer RPGs in the first place and totally skipped Anthem. Yikes. Anthem is hot garbage. How old is Mass Effect 3 again?

Anthem is hot garbage. How old is Mass Effect 3 again? Anthem would have been better off as a compelling SP experience...it's concept of a particular power centered around the creation of existence itself could have been something very interesting if Bioware was given the time to develop this story with more details, but as it turns out through that development report from months ago, that this is indeed the game that Bioware wanted to make (not sure if that is completely accurate tho....still feels like EA forced them to make this game).... As old as ME3 is, i still play the MP EVERY day...no matter how tired i'am when i come in from my 12 hour overnight IT gig, i still gotta fire up the phoenix vanguard...and while folks are still heated about ME3 endings, it is still a far better game than Andromeda....and the entire journey of ME3 continues to be a fun and entertaining play through.... Now while gameplay may be Anthem's biggest strength, i'm not sure how long that aspect can keep it afloat.....especially with recent vids that i've been seeing lately that for me just reflects alot of frantic gameplay,....particle explosions, bullet sponge enemies that are just roaming the area, etc...the entire gameplay when it comes to enemy encounters just seem chaotic...and no real sense of order or finely tuned gameplay. I'm not saying the game needs to be easy or anything, but idk how to explain what i'm seeing,...i guess i'm seeing the player getting hit from all angles....shields dropping...doing its special attack, particle explosions everywhere then the player flying for cover and recharging shields...i guess playin it in real time is different from watching it, but that is the vibe i got when watching vids...it feels or looks annoying to play than it actually being entertaining and fun, but i could be completely wrong about that...

Lo be it for me to jump to anthem's defense, but on gameplay I must interject. Yes, it definitely looks frantic. Yes, it looks chaotic. Especially in a multiplayer environment. BUT. There is a fine dance-like routine aspect to the managing of gear and combo's sometimes. This shines a lot more when you're playing alone because then only you are controlling the battle field, but for example my storm has a different routine set of gear combinations for every type of enemy. If I want to optimise my damage, I have to follow it. The problem is, there are too many cases where the above just doesn't matter. 90% of the cases is just dependant on powering through. This makes specific gear finding useless. This makes the loot system useless. I dream of an anthem where personal builds matter. Where you can work on your build, and don't have to be dependant on god roll luck. Where team builds matter, so you actually need one of every type of javelin. But that'll remain a very fleeting dream.

Where you can work on your build, and don't have to be dependant on god roll luck. Where team builds matter, so you actually need one of every type of javelin. But that'll remain a very fleeting dream. Agreed. The core gameplay of Anthem is actually very good. The concept of combining shooting and usage of powers with fast horizontal and vertical movement works and is well done IMO. The problem of Anthem is not its gameplay itself but everything around it. Otherwise, I do agree with clip7, especially as far as the story is concerned. The setting has a lot of potential and if you read the codex, there is some very cools stuff there but unfortunately, probably in part probably due to the coop focus, and maybe in part because of my personal taste, the actual story and the characters didn't really work for me and the very stringent separation of story and gameplay (even going so far as to isolate character interaction to another perspective for the player) was a huge immersion breaker for me.
What I do not agree with is that BioWare wasn't given enough time. That's ridiculous. The worked 7 years on this thing. I perfectly understand that at some point, EA ran out of patience. Similar to Andromeda, that one is on BW, I think.

Me too, I arrived quite late on the old BSN I think I was there as far back as 1999? Though it's more my fuzzy memory and more like 2001, probably. Like, before NWN1 released, though I wasn't super engaged with the community, more like just lurking. It wasn't until after KotoR and then again after ME1-2 and, oof, after ME3 especially. I ... I may be responsible, in part, for the shape the Extended Cut got.

We've seen now jump jets in Anthem and Andromeda. Both times we saw that you just get hit from all sides. It is kinda stupid to expose oneself like that. I think it's time to move on. Yes it was fun to fly javelin. But it is still stupid.
