I'm just going to reiterate a lot of what's been said, so short version:
I hated the CC at first, mainly because my original Ryder and the Scott I left default looked NOTHING like Alec. So I restarted to darken Scott up a bit but liked my Ryder less... Third time I used a different preset and made something I liked well enough. Still bummed because I love messing around in the CC, but it's workable enough. Desperately wish we could tweak a bit more. Eyebrow colors, at least? Brow shape, mouth shape, and eye shape would honestly go a LONG way in helping. As would being able to just choose your Alec, especially because he looks a lot like the Scotts but not so much like the Saras so what's it matter?
Animations are a bit off, but that's not what I play Bioware for. What they do well, they generally do VERY well. I'm willing to take the less than perfect animations in exchange for the things that make them unique. In general, they haven't usually been bad enough to bother me.
I miss being able to pause and look around in combat. I get motion sick easily and lose my bearings (especially with the new multi-level jetpack fighting) a lot so I'm dying... OFTEN.. usually because I can't figure out where the heck the enemy is. If I were new to shooters like I was when I played the first ME I wouldn't even bother. The radial menu and looking around to aim are the reason I was willing to give the first game a try, because without it I'm TERRIBLE. Now I'm devoted to the series so there's no going back. I'll get used to it, but it's a learning curve.
Nomad is AWFUL to drive with the keyboard. I'm also newer to PC gaming in general, but man it's driving the Mako into lava all over again. My fiance is playing on Xbox and LOVES it, so that's probably a just-me thing. Something I just need to practice.
Story, characters, even the more "cheesy" lines are amazing and I've been GENUINELY sad and laughed out loud. I'm excited to meet everyone I haven't yet (Angarans sound awesome), but everyone I have met is better than expected. I like the ones I didn't expect to care too much about, and I LOVE the ones I knew sounded interesting. I'm jiggling at my desk at work today counting down the hours.
On the technical side I have no complaints. I'm playing on a GTX1070, i5 6500, 16GB RAM and haven't had any dips or bugs thus far to speak of. Luck of the draw on that.

This isn't true. The game locks you out of saving during the intro tutorial mission, and you have to rely on auto saves. But, once you're done with that, you can save largely at will. I also find it incredibly implausible that you didn't manage to do anything in 30 minutes in that tutorial to trigger an autosave. My first playthrough was on Xbox on the hardest setting, and I died left and right through the tutorial mission. Never lost more than a few seconds of time. Well, I'm happy that you have had a happy experience. I'm just reporting what happened in my game as I played it. It is true though, sorry to disappoint, must have had some mess up with autosave triggers or some other kind of BS. It'd be nice if developers looked into it or best patched in the ability to save outside of combat.

I'm not going to let the internet kill my joy. I'm excited. I've been depressed, figuratively speaking, since my 10 hours expired.

I took it slow. Even thou trial time was limited to 10 hours. And that is not much in a Mass Effect game. I avoided spoilers prior to playing. So everything was a surprise for me. Here is my feedback: 1: Character creator really IS garbage. 2: Character faces presets are really bad. Totally unlikable. 3. Weird animations and character postures. Ryder has his shoulders back in a weird way. Turians stand like they are leaning with their backs against the wall. 4. Compared to original trilogy, your teammates are unlikable. Enemies are generic. 5. Not sure if it changes further into the game, but i was unable to pause the game, turn the camera around and issue orders to teammates at the same time like in previous ME games. Makes combat harder. I really liked choosing which weapons and powers my teammates will use an enemy in ME 1-3. 5. The game looks amazing. 6.Save system is garbage. Keep that checkpoint system on consoles please. Playing on hardcore, doing side missions and dying after fighting for 30 minutes spawns me 30 minutes earlier in the game because the game won't let me save when i want for some stupid reason. > . 7. Voice acting is MEH at best. Not surprising considering the cast in original trilogy. I'll wait for a sale. The only thing i really liked is how the game looks. Oh, and also someone from Bioware mentioned that this isn't start of a new trilogy. Thank you for that. No doubt there will be other ME games down the road. And i hope you make something with interesting characters and story next time.

Hey Tiberius,
Thanks for providing us with a space to give you feedback. I hope you and your team are able to digest most of the issues and get the appropriate fixes out for the game as soon as possible.
I. Animation:
1. Character animation in ME:A is very poor. Character textures and models generally look good, but not as large of an improvement from ME:3 that I think most of us were expecting. The mouth movements look worse or on the same level as the ones from ME:1 (I went back and looked to compare). There have been multiple occasions where characters are floating above the ground while walking during cut scenes, characters that are extremely jittery when they’re supposed to be still and the hand and body gestures that make conversation look real are down 75% from ME:3. It’s very disappointing that BioWare made such strides from ME:1 to 2 and 3, and then this is what we get for the fourth installment. 2. The animations to go from planet to planet while exploring are way too long. There is no reason players should have to wait ~16 seconds between planets. 3. The animation/load screen when you’re traveling on the tram is also too long. It’s reminiscent of the old elevators in ME:1 just due to length and zero interaction during the load. Including a wait time here doesn’t increase the realism or the player’s gaming experience by any measure so I’m not sure why it’s there.
II. Gameplay: 1. The gameplay is okay, so far. The jet pack is fun because BioWare went to the trouble of making it so there is more terrain to explore. In previous ME games you had a distinct path that you could travel – ME:A allows you to hop around and skip obstacles or other areas if you want which is nice. 2. I was excited to see a looting system brought back into the game but was then very disappointed to see that it’s ME:1 looting all over again. I didn’t enjoy that then, not enjoying it now. The inventory space also seems a bit small if we are going to have the option to loot all of these items. I understand the way to minimize your inventory space by using the tools available to destroy or recycle items, but it still seems too small. 3. The tab function to select combat functions, weapons and other things seems clumsy. It takes me out of the fight into a menu, instead of ME:3’s version which overlayed a menu so you still felt in combat. Toning down the transparency on this menu could make it feel better and easier to use. It could also be smaller. 4. I’m not sure I understand the reasoning for restricting save points to only when you’re doing something seemingly unimportant. I happen to have IRL influences that take precedence over gaming, but if I’m in the middle of an important mission all I can do is hit escape and leave it there until I can come back to devote time. 5. The menus in general seem very deep and unintuitive. I spent a good five minutes going through all of them looking for something and ended up forgetting what I was looking for. 6. The weapon upgrade system seems way more confusing and unneeded. ME:3’s was too simple in my opinion, but this one just seems like something I have to study in order to understand completely. I don’t want to spend time studying or reading a guide on how to use this system when it should just be simple and fun to use. 7. The combat seems smooth'ish and looks good so far, but it is again a step down from ME:3’s gameplay. This is how I’m assuming the conversation about Andromeda’s gameplay went during development:
“Hey, how should we make ME:A’s combat gameplay? What can we improve on?”
“Um, why don’t we just make it like ME:1? People LOVED combat in ME:1.”
“Good point! Let’s make that happen.”
It don’t think I need to say more than “It is a lot like ME:1, but prettier.” The movement is jittery at times and it doesn't seem as impactful as ME:3. Sigh. I'm sitting here trying to think of a more elaborate way to explain why I don't like the gameplay, and all I can think of is "It's like ME:1.."
III: Character Creator (CC): 1. I was pretty disappointed with the CC in ME:A. I was surprised to find how limited it was. I really do enjoy creating someone that I can identify with in the game. Modifying one of the preset faces definitely did not give me that sense. Also, the facial hair/head hair colors are way off. If you have brown hair, your facial hair is near black and does not blend into the hairline at all. This is another example of poor modeling and just makes my immersion into the story-line harder. I would propose an option, somewhere near the end of the introductory mission, to adjust your facial changes now that you have seen them in game. I know this is unlike many other games, but seeing how bad the character animations are may lead a player to want to tweak some things.
In conclusion, I do believe there are a lot of things that need serious work. There are good things about this game, but some of my favorite things include what may be considered as spoiler type material. I, as I'm sure many others do as well, appreciate the opportunity to provide you with feedback. I'll finish out my trial time in the next couple days and make sure I comment as best as I can on this forum.

Premium Packs from Multiplayer MP with RARES MAXED, do not yield better drops for Ultra Rares, instead you acquire a load of consumables for 300AP or 100 000. Somewhat disappointing and off putting! No further cash will be put in this, if it does not get fixed. I really hope this gets looked into!

The good:
-Gorgeous graphics (outside of character facial animations). -The environments are alive and thriving with much more life than previous ME entries. Locations being more open is great. -Easter eggs/references to the original trilogy. -The return of more in-depth RPG aspects, and the introduction of the crafting system. -New galaxy map is fresh and much more intriguing, having view of surrounding planets while in space is awesome. -The music. -New characters...
The bad:
-... and also new characters. Maybe they just haven't had enough time to grow on me yet, but none have popped out at me as particularly unique or intriguing. -CC... is that really all the choice we have as far as Ryder goes? -Lack of power wheel. I enjoyed taking a moment to plan out my attacks in the previous ME's. -Movement can be sometimes strange and cumbersome. Might just need some more getting used to though.

I finished my origin trial of Mass Effect Andromeda last night and this is my feedback. Starting with stuff I didn't like or bugs:-Not being able to change features on the preset faces (eyebrows/eyes/nose/mouth) -For some reason my game will sometimes randomly choose dialogue options for me (thought I fixed it, but it started doing it again) -Not being able to save when I want to -Scanning in the Nomad -The Nomad is not the Mako. Come on now, I could climb straight up a wall in the Mako, the Nomad has trouble with small hills. Things that I liked:
+That the CC wasn't like DAI +The story so far +The characters I've met so far +Combat (and I usually don't care about combat at all) +Even though my graphics card is a little behind the recommended MEA runs smooth as butter on my computer. Beats DAI to hell and back which is a stuttery mess to this day. +The return of feeling wonder and exploration from ME1. (The best of the MET imo ) Yes, I noticed that some animations are a little wonky, but nothing happened in my 10 hours that was so bad as to deserve all the hate I've seen. For me, they were mostly okay. Looking forward to playing at midnight tonight. Edited to add that I have 2 instances of the dialogue being picked by the game for me actually recorded if that helps.

So far it's been really enjoyable. I do however have a few gripes with some elements of gameplay. - Sentinels
I was more than a little disappointed to find that Sentinels no longer have their Tech Armour as an on-demand Tech ability, and that it seems to have been mostly reduced to a visual gimmick in combat.
The ability to use the knockback from Tech Armour to spring from cover and unbalance enemies is basically gone. It's what leant Sentinels their versatility in swapping from ranged cover to rushing melee and pretty much what defined the class for me. Now it feels like you're better off going full Tech/Engineer or Biotics/Adept.
Perhaps I've miss-understood the profiles, and Tech Armour is granted as a Tech ability at a higher level of its profile, but from the description, it really doesn't sound like there's any more to it than "absorbing a significant amount of whatever damage gets past shields." As someone who used to play almost exclusively as Sentinel, it's a big let down.
- Space Exploration
What's up with the slow animations in the galaxy map during space exploration? Having to wait for the ship to cruise from its previous destination in the system to its target destination, arrive, and zoom out takes something like 20 seconds every. time. It wouldn't be so bad if it only did this from system to system, but it also does it from planet to planet which is just silly. A system that would otherwise take 60 seconds to explore to 100%, takes literally 5 minutes.
It would be nice to have the option to disable this somewhere, and return to the simple zoom in/out animations from previous games, at least for planet to planet exploration within the same system.
- Other
I'm not terribly fond of ammunition powers (incendiary/cryo/disruptor) as consumables either. It would be nice if they could be added as permanent toggles through rare crafts or something.
It would also be nice to see an improvement to the save system. I don't see what was wrong with the way quick saves worked in the previous games - disabled during combat, available any other time. Why more and more games seem to be moving toward checkpoints is beyond me. Please consider implementing quick saves.
I'll also echo what others have said so far about character creation, it feels a bit uninspired. The custom presets are... well, bad. I have no idea who would ever be interested in them save for one or two per gender. And given how far the modding community went in providing customisation for the previous games, I had hoped for more robust choices. Some interesting tech-irises like the Illusive Man had, a wider selection of hairstyles than 10 (is it?) per gender, cybernetic scars, etc. And all characters in the game being the same height per species feels really strange as well. Am I the only one to find humans look kind of... short?
So those are my thoughts after 10h of play during the trial, nothing that will stop me enjoying an otherwise great game, but here's hoping that some of this will get addressed.

Some further thoughts after nearly finishing my ten hours:
Some quality of life patches adding in autoloot and a way to alter looks post CC would be greatly appreciated.
I'm struggling to get into the story primarily because I don't feel connected to Ryder due to him being so predetermined. He doesn't feel like 'my' character. This is really a matter of preference, but for me it reduces my personal interest in the story significantly. I'm happy to see that there are some serious/darker tones than what previews had led me to believe, however. It's not all a big quip fest.
The Nomad feels as awkward to manoeuvre as the Mako to me. They feel almost exactly the same. I'm flying all over the place and getting stuck on rocks just as much in the Nomad as I did the Mako. With my struggles with the Nomad and the issue with combat feeling so chaotic in these open areas I'm really missing the more linear design of ME2 and 3.
The main strength of Bioware games is the characters and story, so from a ten hour trial it's really hard to measure the games worth without having experienced those to the fullest, but so far my impression is that the game took a lot of the worst habits of Inquisition while leaving out the things that it excelled at. It's reinvented things that didn't need touching and neglected things that did. My impressions may change entirely after a full playthrough but for the moment I feel like it's a mis-step.

Hello First of all - sorry if my feedback will be a little bit short, I'm sick right now and english is not my native language so it's hard to focus XD But I will try to do my best! I'd like to thanks all the Bioware team for Mass Effect: Andromeda, since I'm really loving it, and for the patience - I saw a lot of negative comments online (and I'm talking about all the insults, not the constructive criticism). You rocks, people. Really. You did a great job. So, about ME:A, I'm playing the PC version. I tried the game on three differents machines and it works fine - at medium/high/ultra settings. I'm super happy that it works even on my laptop which is not new. It crashed only once, if I remember correctly after I changed the resolution. Not a big deal Since I'm italian, I have to read the sub (just to let you know - I love english language and it's a pleasure to play the game with the V.O.), but I'd like to change the size of the subtitles. They aren't too small but even with eyeglasses I always risk to miss a phrase. It would be cool to have two options, you know, a standard one and a "XL" size one. Then, I will not talk about facial animations and CC too much since I'm sure you've read too much comments about it. As a noob 3D artist and anatomy enthusiast, I can try to suggest you a little but powerful fix - I'm not a pro with this thing at all and I don't want to look as an arrogant, but just offer my knowledge. I'm looking Sara Ryder and custom F!Ryder screnshots right now and I noticed that the pupil are a little bit too big and the glance, sometimes, looks... weird, like a doll one. I think that it can be resolved just "closing" a little bit the eye (I think that in english the right words are upper and lower eyelids). I made an example in photoshop from a screenshot I found online (original link here) -> result. I think that eyes like this can make the difference but it's just opinion. I hope you will find it useful! If not, forgive me ç_ç" About the CC, I think you can easily insert a "upgraded" version into the game with something like Dragon Age's mirror, so, the people that already started the game can keep their character, changing features like the shape of nose, eyes, lips, eyebrows. They can make the difference! (By the way, I'm already pretty satisfied by my custom characters, but it would be really nice to improve them a little with new details!). About the multiplayer I'm really satisfied about the characters and their skills and I think it would be more great the possibility to turn on/off the helmets in the character customization. Personally I like to see my character's face so there's not a big problem to me, but if someone don't like how the MP character looks, this is a easy way to fix the problem! I hope to see more characters in the future! Except the Volus, please don't add the Volus, please please please!Maybe the only little bit "complain" about the MP is about the AFK people. Today I made the last test on one of my PC and I found a player which were AFK for a lot of "waves". Even after two votes to expel him from the match, we waited a lot before seeing it out from the game. :/ About the story/plot, well, I bloody loved it and I can't wait to know more! But I don't want to talk about this point because of spoilers, just... man, I love it, really. It's like a Hollywood movie! But better, because I am the main character. About bugs/glitch, I will write them at the right website address. Probably my feedback will be not super useful, but it's really uncommon that devs give the chance to players to talk about a pre-release version of the game and... I wanted to help. So, thank you for this great, great chance. It's awesome to be part of this community. I received a lot of insults from my compatriots, also death threats, because I tried to defend Bioware. I don't care about it. I am proud to be a Bioware fan, and I am proud too that I had the chance to tell you my opinion. I wish you a beautiful day and thanks for the attention.

It's reinvented things that didn't need touching and neglected things that did. My impressions may change entirely after a full playthrough but for the moment I feel like it's a mis-step. I like your idea about autoloot, but I wonder if looting gets better. Will we be able to loot weapons and rare equipment pieces or just random junk? If we have the ability to loot cool things then I don't want autoloot, however, if it's just weapon mods, scrap and minerals, then I 100% want autoloot.
I've always thought the Mako was fun to run around with and I don't have any problems with the Nomad. It struggles going up a hill in order for the game to show you how to use it's AWD system. Not sure why this is necessary in the game as I'm missing what this adds in terms of enjoyment. There have been comments saying that the Nomad couldn't even make it up the hill but I think it's necessary to think "This is a new planet, we don't know what ground is made of, we don't know how slippery, etc etc." Keep that in mind and exploring will be more fun.
I've just gone as far as I can in the single player mission and won't be experiencing the MP until I've completed the campaign. I don't want to spoil any of the cool new aliens we get to meet in SP.
I didn't think I would, but I also feel less attached to Ryder at this moment. I think it's because the main events that happen in the intro and primary quests happen way too quickly. The player doesn't have time to adjust or learn about Ryder. I found it difficult to find a tone that I was looking for in the dialogue mainly because I wasn't connected to the character. I expect great stories from BioWare as that is what they are known for. I paid BioWare for a game I figured would take what was ME:3 and improve.
----- -----
After doing a quick comparison between the two games I can say without a doubt that the graphics are phenomenal compared to ME:3. It really does look beautiful so well done indeed to the BioWare team on that front.

I've done my early access (about less than 30 minutes left) and watched other people's gameplay video over and over again.. I still find that most characters have strange body proportion, along with strange pose. here's one of them: I got the strange feels with their legs to bodies proportion (the legs are a little to short maybe?), I get this feeling in most cinematics. And also, the Ryder pose like there are needles between his armpits most of time. Don't get me wrong, I loved ME:A.. but this things sometime ruined my early access experience. As long as you are patching...women do not usually cross their arms above the "girls". The crossed arms usually happen below the "girls". Y'all might want to fix that one.

things i loved: -the exploration specifically voice events and the ability to ignore random fights -mp streamlining -character customization -new characters from what i saw (played 5 hrs) -the combat -graphics (epic and surreal environments)
things i despised: -mining -some of the animations -2dimensional story (do choices really have an effect?)

things i despised: -mining -some of the animations -2dimensional story (do choices really have an effect?) I think it's impossible to tell whether the story is 2-Dimensional or not at this point. BioWare hasn't let me down in the past with the story so I have no reason to expect that they would now. It looks like you have had a lot of experience with their games in the past as well so I would assume that you would expect the same. Imagine if you played DA:I for only 10 hours, or even ME:2 or 3 for 10 hours; I think people would have said the same thing.
I think it's neat that they brought back elements of ME:2 like mining and probes, but did it in a slightly different manner. Mining isn't exactly a fun task in real life so I think it would be difficult to make it so in a game. I don't think anyone really enjoyed mining in ME:2, but we did it for that sweet, sweet Normandy armor and cannon.

hmmmm dunno where to ask this. How do I manually change my graphical settings? everything outside the auto-settings/low/medium/high/ultra and whats above it is grayed out o_O I want to lower my resolution to see if the game runs better. You have to move the high/medium/low/ultra until you see 'custom' pop up, then you can alter the other settings. I don't remember at which end of the scale you get to 'custom' (before low, or after ultra).

Thanks anyway for the direction, I will try again. If not, I will find a way to edit the ini.

Ian, I would like to ask why gay Scott is the only orientation that does not have any LI within squad mates. Is there a time constraint on making, say, Jaal bisexual? Or somehow being attracted to men does not fit into their characters?
Also, Cora and Peebee sex scenes are very explicit, while Gil "sex" scene shows no nudity and it's the classic fade to back. What are the reasons for this discrepancy? Thank you.

DX12 ... will Bioware put out a patch that provides DX12 support for PC and (eventually) XB1?

Ian, the datamining found Jaal's data to be bisexual, but it got removed at the last minutes, is it a resource thing? If so, why are straight males have 5 different options? On top of the gay option being a character creation and no sex scene but fade to Black? Why is the trophy required for 3 different romances, but gay romances only have 2? Why is none of the companions gay? This is not a rant. I'm trying to summarize all my issues at the moment. I really hope you could answer this.

Hi. My turn after trail. Sorry for my englis
+++
graphics jetpack lots of items to craft history (only in trial for now) nomad multiplayer gameplay
--- Animations and dead eyes(it's joke?) ugly faces (all) Character creation ( terrible ) Asari clones ( only one model of asari face?? and peebee) Boring fly in space No day and night cycle and no dynamic weather ( we have 2017. old games have this.) No wepon on nomad. ( in ME1 we have fight with vechicle of geth)
I love mass effect 1-3. For me andromeda right now is max 7/10:( if we do the same on the other planets and doo fetch mission like in inqusition 5-6/10

Ian, if you see this, I want you to know that I don't personally blame you. However, I would very much appreciate it if you made this known to the people who have the power to fix this problem in the next installment.
The step backward the Mass Effect team has taken in this game is completely unacceptable. After Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition, I was honestly excited to see what would happen now that the company appeared to have gotten over its hang-ups about including options for gay men. I was sorely disappointed.
First of all, I do not believe that non-squad romances are truly equal to romances with squadmates. I admit that part of this is due to personal preference, but the fact that gay men are the only orientation expected to be happy with non-squadmate characters automatically calls into question the idea that there is no difference between squad and non-squad romances. I hate to say this, and I hope I am wrong, but it honestly appears that the Mass Effect team is using non-squad romances so they can give gay men, and to a lesser extent lesbians, the short end of the stick without having to hear us complain about being left out entirely.
Furthermore, the Mass Effect and its "it has to make sense for the character" argument, in conjunction with the lack of squad romances for gay men, has fallen into a very old and very problematic idea that only heterosexual men can be strong; that if a man is not heterosexual, he is weak and not fit to fight for what he believes in. I do not believe that this was intentional on the part of the developers, but that unfortunately does not change what it looks like. One of the reasons I have come to love your company's games so much is because they are among the very few avenues I have to escape that kind of thinking. To have that taken away now, after you appeared to have improved so much, after marketing yourself as having improved so much, honestly feels like a betrayal.
Lastly, datamining of Mass Effect: Andromeda and some older games shows a very unfortunate pattern with dummied out romance content. Dataminers have consistently found that, whether it is because of time constraints, space concerns, or issues of characterization, male/male romance content is always the first on the chopping block. While I do not believe that it is due to active malice, this pattern sends a very bad message to gay male players about where we lie on the list of priorities.
Despite all this, and despite how angry I am, I do still believe Bioware can do better. You have fixed your mistakes regarding male/male romance content before in both Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age II, and I fully believe that you are capable of fixing your mistakes again.
