1 - ME3/MEA 2 - ME1 3 - ME2 I seriously dont understand the appeal of ME2 ME2 has so many people to bang! Miranda and Jack doing nacked mud wrestling Jack The suicide mission being more than top notch Allowed to be an ass to Jacob Through romance and or loyalty missions you had an impact on every squadmate's personality and future Some way to die doing sex asari style Throwing people through windows Thane JACK A handfull of tv/movie actors doing a great job Best intro in the ME series Jack....

This thread already? Ok.
1. me1 - The introduction to the IP. Excellent.
2. meA - Good game, needing some polish. Reminds me a lot of me1.
3. me2 - Nice game but should have been independent of the trilogy.
4. me3 - Endings suck! Enough said.

Too difficult to put number too...mostly because BW has issues of keeping what's good and improving flaws in sequels.
The world/building, the lore: 1>>>>>>....2>3>A Main story: 1>>>A>2>3 Dialogue: 2>1>3>A Side quests: 2>A/1>3 Characters: 2>3>A>1 Endings: 2>>>1>A...somewhere in the bottom of the abyss: 3 Technically impressive ( for it's time)/ performance: 1>2>3>A Combat/Level design: A>3>2>1 Rpg mechanics/Secondary systems( loot, more varied dialogue options, crafting): A>>>>3>2>1 Exploration( though they're all poor at this) : A>1 OST: 1>2>3>A

1) Mass Effect: Andromeda I LOVE this game. This is the most fun I've had playing a video game since Final Fantasy 7 came out. It's highly addictive got beautiful graphics great new characters, concepts, great combat and car.
2) Mass Effect 3 Strong endings to several storylines like the fate of krogan and the resolution of the quarians/geth war. The battle of Thessia and the fall of Earth are moving and I like that it shows the civilian cost to war dealing with real world issues like refugees, black markets, the cruel calculus of war, PTSD, war weariness, strange alliances, and so on in the background without being preachy or overbearing. This is actually might be the most "realistic" war in a sci-fi series in media the closet follow up in that department might be the Dominion War in the final 2 seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The combat was great and while the endings will be debated until the end of time, for me personally The Extended Cut answered the questions that I had.
3) Mass Effect 2 Great combat, great new characters, and new locations make up for a pretty episodic story that never quite comes to together in a way that makes much sense in the grand scheme of things and never lives up to it's true potential.
4) Mass Effect Looking back on this game it's got amazing universe and a great story and some amazing VAs bringing the characters to life and that is about it. It's 10 years and it looks and plays like it is 20.

People putting Andromeda above ME1 and ME2.... I'm starting to suspect you ain't even here to share anything with us besides video memes. Are you trully looking for a chat or an exchange about MEA here? Or are you just running amuck at everybody not sharing your views?

People putting Andromeda above ME1 and ME2.... I agree, but everyone has different tastes and wants. I'm loving this thread because it shows that Bioware did a great job of getting all types aboard. I guess I should state that I'm an old RPG guy and that's what I love most about these franchises. However, I am spoiled on the beauty of Inquisition and Andromeda. Also, gamplay itself (without the bugs which are frickin' horrendous) is the best. For me, the replayability is not gameplay or graphics. It's taking on the game from different approaches. I wore out my old rig replaying the hell out of Origins. I replayed the hell out Mass Effect 1 and 2. Inquisition and Andromeda just keep kicking me in the nuts everytime I'm pulled out of immersion. I dropped Inquisition through my second playthrough and played Witcher 3 and never went back. I never bought the DLCs for Inquisition because I was turned off to the game. I'm not going to praise the Witcher 3 for being the best RPG there is... it's great, but in truth: Imoen, Minsc, Leliana, Morrigan, Alistair, Hawke, Varric, Solus, Cassandra, Wrex, Ashley, Miranda, Liara, Mordin and so many other characters wouldn't exist without Bioware.

Rank them by what metric? The story?
ME1 >> ME:A > ME3 > ME2
Gameplay?
ME:A > ME3 > ME2 > ME1
How much fun I had?
ME1 > ME2 > ME:A > ME3

An open world RPG such as Andromeda or Inquisition have longer playthrough but less replayability. I guess that's a matter of preferences.

Shocked to see that Andromeda is doing better than ME2?....they introduced the "collectors" who was terrorizin' the s**t outta everybody..characters and overall game design was solid, but eh, i can't speak on Andromeda since i don't have it yet...I plan on getting Andromeda soon tho....and it will probably be awhile before i can contribute to this thread.

Shocked to see that Andromeda is doing better than ME2?.... The problem with ME2 for me is I really didn't like the new companions (apart from Mordin... Mordin was awesome) and the game/story is all about the companions. If I can barely tolerate 80% of the crew it is going to negatively impact my enjoyment of even the fun parts of the game. ME1 had great characters and after ME2's suicide culling I was left with only great characters for ME3. Out of the new ME:A line up I only actively dislike one. So yes ME2 sits at the bottom of my list.

1. MEA because of no paragon/renegade system, better combat, and the crafting. 2.ME3 because of the citadel DLC, and I got to bang Tali. Also the Garrus's bromance. 3.ME2 because they changed the combat for the better, and Tali was open to romance. 4.ME1 I liked a lot about it, but that damn mako controls can burn in hell.

With out a doubt..
ME1 -If only they would bring ME1 up-to-date without ruining it. ME3 ME2 MEA -How ever they spin it, they can never beat the work done by the original Bioware team.

ME2>MEA;ME3>ME1
I stopped playing ME1 long before finishing, eventually forced myself through it. I really enjoyed ME2, was a lot of fun. While a lot of people complain about ME3 ending, my grief with it was how it felt like 3/4 a movie, 1/4 combat. When we actually got to the combat, it was over in a jiffy. When I started to ignore the additional tasks in ME:A and the story progressed, I also started to enjoy it, but eventually the planetary travel started to piss me off. It makes quests that should be fun, a god damned chore. If it hadn't been like that, ME2>MEA>ME3... Even for all its problems..

I've only played the prologue to Andromeda, which is without a doubt the weakest intro Bioware has ever done. So based on that:
ME1 ME2 Andromeda ME3
I'm looking at the full package - which game operates the best on all levels. And that's still ME1.
