For those of you who have played through a decent chunk of ME:A, where would you rank it in comparison to the other Mass Effect games?
I'm not yet finished with ME:A (on Kadara), but so far I think I'd rank them ME3 > ME2 > ME:A > ME1.

ME2>ME3=MEA>ME1
Having finished MEA, it takes a while to hit its stride, but when it picks up it has some really good moments, especially with the loyalty missions. And the ending isn't a complete clusterfuck...

ME1 is the best for me gameplay wise because it almost have 0.0000000001% rpg in it ME3 ME2 MEA
If you count only "enterteinment" I think ME3 is the best, so switch 1st and 2nd places

Right now? About halfway rough the story? Which I think I might have accidentally bulled rushed a bit of the story too early mind you so I might reall mess up the pacing of the game which could really unfairly effect its review score in the futurue. But right now.
ME 2> ME A> ME 3> ME 1
ME A is right now very much on the cuff, right on the boarder between Tier 1 or Tier 2 for gaming A couple of things, minor and major, could sway it in either direction but I doubt it will fall all the way to Tier 3. Since both ME 3 and ME 1 are down on the scale of Tier 2, this game is better, but nothing is really beating ME 2 and I am not sure if Andromeda will be THAT good yet. It will take a really special game to beat ME 2, let alone Inquisition in my heart of hearts.

ME1 - Favorite characters, favorite missions. I still love walking through the Normandy to the bridge with the music playing in the very beginning. ME3 ME2 MEA
I've had a bad time with bugs so far in MEA, so in it's current state there's no way I put it above any of the previous games. Maybe after some patches, some DLC, etc it may change.

By gameplay? Story? Characters? Combat? Polish? Bugs? Visual effects?
Average ratings are generally too vague as different people weight these qualities very differently.

It's very difficult because they are all so different. All I know at this stage is ME1 is last by a long, long margin. I can't even rank ME2 compared to ME3 very easily. ME3 had great multiplayer gameplay and a really good emotional story...until the ending. ME2 had great micro stories, great characters, great dlc, a huge improvement on gameplay, but didn't advance the main plot and to be fair although it was an improvement the combat is not as good as Andromeda. I would probably give the edge to ME3 because of the multiplayer (without it it would be the other way around).
I'm not sure yet where I would put MEA. It might even be first, but it would be fair to say this would likely be down solely to the combat. Anyway, it is still much, much better than ME1.

1st: ME1 - The most authentic and genuine game of the series, I always enjoy experiencing ME1's narrative and find the mechanics to be serviceable. 2nd: ME2 - The most polished game of the series, effective in dressing up it's plot shortcomings through solid mechanics and character narratives. 3rd: ME3 - A rather dissapointing conclusion to the series though nonetheless an impressive step forward in mechanics and chunks of good story. 4th: MEA - Falls flat on too many areas for my taste. Obnoxious mechanics and writing issues cause the good bits of story to burried deep.

ME 1: Was let down by its FRUSTRATING COMBAT. Its FRUSTRATING MAKO. The FRUSTRATING implementation of the RPG mechanics (inventory mainly) and sometimes stilted voice acting and the poor implementating of the Dialgue wheel. But it was still a fairly impressive game and had BioWare's best story and one of BioWare's 3 best antagonists.
ME 3: Was let down by the ending (even the extended cut) and its butchering of the dialogue wheel but it had amazing combat.
ME A: It has gone full bore into both RPG and combat mechanics, both of these might be the best the series has to offer, by a mile and a half...but it might be let down by its cast and its bad guy.
ME 2: The only thing that really let it down was its story.

It is so hard for me to judge here because ME2 and ME3 were my all time faves because story/mechanics combined were solid. The only real letdown was ME3's ending. So ME2 > ME3 for me. However, I really loved ME1's story even with the terrible bad mechanics, but MEA does have better combat. MUCH better. I mean I like it more then any other mass effect except for maybe the consumables. The story is okay? It isn't super great, but it is decent. So I guess MEA is tied with ME1 due to that. It depends on if we are talking about if it is just solid gameplay with decent replayability then I think MEA wins out over ME1 for me.

Hmm, that's rough. Right now I'm going to rank ME3 just a bit higher than MEA but I'll see how I feel at the end, then ME1 and ME2.

1 is better. At least have a soul.
3 in second. Great combat and the true sequel to 1. Stupid ending and cheap multplayer missions in the campaign.
2 in third. Retarded game. At least the combat is fun and the last mission is awesome (first time, after that, nhé). Ah GREAT diversity in the enemies, best feature of this game.
Andromeda is not complete yet.

Mass Effect 2: Dat Ass and Dat Suicide Mission Mass Effect 3: Citadel DLC and the gut-wrenching choices that can affect characters you've grown to love (looking at you Mordin) Mass Effect Inquisition 2: (35 hours in) Mostly good, love the Nomad, Tempest and combat. Mass Effect: Great game but aged combat makes it a bit of a drag for me to go back to. Mass Effect Inquisition: Weird game. no guns, no mass relays and strange new aliens called Elves and Dwarves that somehow live on the same planet as you yet have no space ships. Could be something to do with destroy ending in ME3. Also had to bang this weird man called Cassandra.
