So if Bioware decides to make a sequel should they take a Dragon Age approach and have a new main character or keep Ryder, or maybe have you play as your twin that would be interesting

I think they should keep Ryder, making someone play as the twin doesn't really make sense; it's just a gender choice for the main character, and I'm not very fond of Dragon Age's approach of a new protagonist every game.

Given how I spoke against this, I am honestly surprised to say that I would like for them to continue with Ryder as the protagonist.
I like Ryder as a character, the squad as well and feel the set-up of Ryder as a Pathfinder would allow for an easy way of continuing the story since, well, exploration in a new galaxy continues. Weave the new story around that and we're go. Still a lot of different paths a story can develop from that start. The background could continue to be colonization, building a galactic civilisation, keeping peace between the different people and sorting troubles while exploring the unknown and making first contact with new races.
If they wanted to, they could even introduce new characters for squadmates by rotating the crew members. Personal or business affairs requires them to be elsewhere so some squadmates may be away for a portion or the entirety of one game and be rotated back in the next game with other squadmates then temporarily leaving or staying. To compensate for this, they could have a focus role in the DLC of the game they have a reduced role in. New squadmates are introduced but content isn't stretched thin and the squadmates rotated out still gets time of their own through dlc.
I think this could work rather nicely as long as they're careful about not falling in the old traps of creating a worldstate that becomes difficult to maneuver. Stay away from too grand decisions and too diverging paths. Stick to personal choices and that sort.

New protagonist if we start from level 1. I generally don't like the plot devices that explain the delevelling. I also do not like playing with an ability bloat and epic level chars, so I prefer the new character.
I am categorically against being forced to play the twin.

Considering BioWare has always taken the approach of letting you customize your character including gender, I don't see them forcing you to play as the sibling you didn't pick in Andromeda.
I do like that Dragon Age can go into each game with more of a clean slate than Mass Effect did with the trilogy. Choices carrying over is nice and all, but when you have this many choices the vast majority of them just aren't going to matter or are going to start causing issues down the line when they have to account for way too many possibilities.

I'm personally torn between a directly sequel with the same protag and crew versus skipping decades so the Milkies have a better presence in their little corner of the Andromeda galaxy and having Ryder and friends show up as geriatric NPCs guiding a new newbie character.

I think they are keeping options open depending on how is Ryder received. If well, you will play as him/her in the sequel, if not, a new hero. Tbh, I really love Ryder and would love to continue playing as this character. But I am worried we will have a new char since the game has a mixed receptions rn.

I'd really like to play Ryder again, and the current cast setup more than allows for some growth of the central cast with it being so small, without necessitating a total upheaval. I feel like the Tempest itself is so good as a home base that it alone deserves to continue a bit longer. I know polls can sometimes be a bit overused, but I'd really love to see some kind of graph for feedback here.

One of the best things of ME is that the characters carry over. It seemed that they approached each sequel as it came and so the carry over of the squad wasn't always implemented in the best way, but it was still awesome to see Shepard through more adventures with familiar faces and watch relationships grow over time. You miss out on this with the DA approach. Plus, so many heroes and their company occupying Thedas is getting a little ridiculous. For Andromeda, looks like they have it set up to bring these characters back in better ways for the sequel since they got some experience under their belts. Continuation of squadmates and those that decide to leave, more meaningful appearances than a few minutes here or there of nine different squaddies. Ryder is also growing into the role of hero. I want to see her through.

I'd much rather they just stick with Ryder. A part of the reason why characters from the original trilogy are remembered so fondly is because most of them had 2-3 games to really develop. I'm hoping Bioware does the same thing here; give Ryder and his/her crew more time to grow and develop as characters. Give us more time to get attached to them.

Based on the criticism I've been reading the last few days regarding the writing and voice acting I think a lot of people would prefer Scott Ryder to be the Antagonist in MEA2

Twin DLC is more likely since EA wants to take our money in every way possible

That's on Bioware if they do that; it will be just like when they just flat out removed the Mako from ME2 just because a lot of people (rightfully so) pointed out that the Mako sections handled very poorly. Hopefully, even with any criticisms the Ryder twins or any other part of the game may be getting, Bioware will take those criticisms and use them to improve the game and not just completely remove everything that people had an issue with.

Given the criticism on the writing of the game, I strongly believe making MEA a trilogy is more beneficial.
The format of ME has been trilogy based and it gives the amount of time needed for the players to get more attached to the characters and player character.
Give Ryder two more games ,make each bettwr than the last, give it an epic and satisfying ending and in the long run people will love the MEA Trilogy and the first game, even if it had a rocky start, will be looked at as just a piece of a whole and players will be more forgiving.
In my opinion ,leaving it as stand alone without building upon serves no purpose for the franchise.

The "Dragon Age approach" only exists because pathetic fanboys and fangirls hated on Hawke so much.

they said it's not a trilogy, but still we ca have the same protagonist: Ryder, again we choose shich one, i'd like that ME is about the story, so the same protagonist could involve the player a lot more than having new protagonists

Maybe some DLC where they are horribly disfigured and undergo a head transplant (which ironically is happening in real life lol).

It's a new galaxy, full of opportunities. We only explored one star cluster.
There's plenty room for other characters to grow and take the lead.
