What do you think? As it stands, we only have five enemy types including breachers. That's one less the Kett and a lot less than Outlaws.
Personally, I find them the most boring team to fight (Outlaws on Zero notwithstanding)

I am sorry to butt in... but I have my own question about Remnants while we are at it. Why the heck are we even fighting Remnants in random places? They don`t seem like a type that venture into random places and bother us collecting intel and uploading data. What the fruit is wrong with Remnants in MEAMP? :poker: What the hey do they have against us?

I personally feel they are fairly balanced, but it would depend on what kit you bring in your team.
If we should be making them harder, they could prehaps use a durable unit like the outlaw Zerker, designed to flush us out of cover. The Breacher can do this somewhat, but it is very fragile and so of very little concern.
The Destroyer is easily done with a cobra when it charges it's chest gun, so it is not that bad either (if an excellent method of bleeding players dry of consumables)
Nullifiers shots do bring you out of cover, but it travels slow and is easily dodged by moving to the left or right a little bit.
Observers are annoying on paper, or if you are a melee based kit primarily, and to a weapons platform, they are not too tough to deal with either.
So the Remnant would need something to push players. Ketts have a bunch of units that apply pressure constantly, Outlaws have the Zerker and remnant are a bit lacking in that department.

Mix that with few of these babies and kett is magically no longer most hated faction.

BTW, I met mine first in Eos. lol Yeah, my assumption is there is one on each major planet. Potential single player spoilers ahead. Basically the Architect is like the Dragons from Dragon Age Inquisition. That is my assumption at least. Not super far in SP, so I guess I will find out.

But so far they seem to be based around mid to long distance, with low damage annoyances to flush you out (Nullifier/Breacher). Maybe they just need something that will just walk up to you and shoot you ala a Geth Pyro or Hunter?

The number of enemy types is irrelevant. Look at Outlaws. Pariahs, Saboteurs, Agents and Anarchists are basically just free points with legs.
We just need more dangerous enemies. In that regard, the kett are pretty well balanced. Every unit is dangerous and has a purpose. They just need to slightly tone down Anointeds and fix the Fiend's sync kill.
Right now Assemblers and Nullifiers are sort of harmless.

They have fairly decent synergy to their units, but they do seem like they're missing something. I could stand to see less of those obnoxious breachers, and replace some of them with something a little more inspired, but still designed to flush you out of cover and keep you moving

Right now Assemblers and Nullifiers are sort of harmless. You're totally right on the lack of danger. Destroyers could do with their weak point damage being decreased as well. I kinda feel at least with Outlaws though each of those units offers something slightly different to the battlefield with their powers. An Anarchist presents a different dynamic with their inferno grenades than a Pariah (although it would be novel for Pariahs to use their shotguns once in a while)

Weren't Nullfiers toned down in a patch that stopped them targeting players in cover so much. Cause the bezerkers do the same thing and are way, way worse. Trying to use the Lanat against a Bezerk is incredibly frustrating.

I count Breachers as 2 units.
1 normal and 1 surprise-motherfucker-free-damage-and-stagger
EDIT: I personally like playing Remnant the most. Except for broken Breachers they apply the right amount of pressure, and their units spaz out the least. The other factions are entirely too fast, have you seen an Anointed in full sprint?

I don't see why all the factions need to behave the same, they don't need to all be zerg rushers. Remnant are currently the only faction to reward players for using cover, the rest punish you for it. People compare them to the geth because they're synthetic, but in terms of how the faction operates they're more like Cerberus- slower, but inexorable advance by pinning players down with high DPS and then breaking their perimeter with maneuvering skirmishers and heavy units. I see no reason to just make them another mindless bumrush like the other factions.
On topic: With that said, I think some sort of indirect fire, artillery style unit would be cool and thematic.

Remnant desperately needs another mid-tier mook. With the cap on active nullifiers and destroyers we are left with a ridiculous amount of observers and breachers to fill up the spawn budget. Or (my fantasy) buff assemblers and remove breachers completely, and I suppose change their names.
