Yup, as long as CDPR keeps its spirit intact, I'll pre order any future product from them. Just Gwent will sweep the floor with Hearthstone. Talking about Gwent, what about that Gwent game? Did it come out already? It is still in BETA, but it is already leagues ahead of HS. The strategy and organization behind each round really makes it the best online card game to day.

Personally I think it's too early to tell anything for sure about Cyberpunk 2077. I don't care about particular elements all that much as long as it's an RPG in that universe, I only hope that they'll strive to make the best game they can. Yup, as long as CDPR keeps its spirit intact, I'll pre order any future product from them. Just Gwent will sweep the floor with Hearthstone.

Yup what a wasted opportunity. I feel sorry for these artists really. Why? They can never use all of it (which is the name of the game really), and many make it to the game anyway. Personally, I think what did is damn good, though I love some of these helmets. Lol why? DO you even need to ask? I highly doubt this is what artists have in mind for the final product.

In the modern gaming industry, in-house engine/tool is crucial. CDPR spent a lot of resources not only on dialogue animation but also RED ENGINE 2.0 itself. Bioware gave u the in-house engine development after NWN. So it gets back and haunt them ever since. Actually Bioware is using Frostbite from DICE. A really good looking engine and a darn optimized one.... just that it is not designed for RPG. Yes, CDPR put a lot into the REDEngine and the procedural tools -but- they still check all the procedural generated conversation scenes and if they are not happy with the results, they spent time adjusting them. Tools are important yes but polish and quality control is more important for best product and user experience. You can have the best tools but if you dont have time or dont have people who gives a damn... no tool will save you. I agree, tools are crucial but not the only answer for product quality. The attitude of the developer is another key factor. Unfortunately, Bioware fails miserably in both regards. Frostbite is a very capable engine but only DICE could push it to the maximum, so I would not blame MEA's presentation to the engine is not for RPG really.

I did enjoy the game to a degree, but overall I agree. I don't feel any inclination to play the game again after one playthrough. I can't think of any single moment that can be described as amazing or particularly memorable. The story is generic and forgettable, the Aliens are generic and forgettable, the enemies and gameplay are generic and forgettable (much of it seems ripped directly from Destiny). The lore. The fucking lore. They might as well just take it out back and shoot it in the head to finally put it out of its misery. They seem to think that coherent lore is a detriment to telling a good story or something. I'd much rather see Bioware take the Obsidian approach to their story telling, with deep and interesting lore, potential conflicts, etc. Think FO:NV, KOTOR 2, PoE, etc. Don't worry buddy, Planescape - Torment is back! The true pinnacle of RPG.

Mass Effect - Battlefront/filed. If BW really wants to keep the RPG elements afloat, outsource the game development to EU.

It is not the tools. Do you know that CDPR actually go through the procedural generated conversation scenes and change them if they feel that it is not good enough? That right there is quality control and polish. ME:A simply lacks that. It is like nobody actually check those scenes or they hired a blind person to check them. In the modern gaming industry, in-house engine/tool is crucial. CDPR spent a lot of resources not only on dialogue animation but also RED ENGINE 2.0 itself. Bioware gave u the in-house engine development after NWN. So it gets back and haunt them ever since.

True. What we need are: 1) Day one DLC introducing a major character that had a bearing on the main story 2) A DLC that fills in huge plot holes missing from the main story mission 3) A DLC to rewrite the culmination of the story and to fill in more plotholes 4) some outfit DLC 5) a DLC that bridges to the next game cramming in the setup for that game whilst simultaneously rewriting the lore and introducing another plothole Then it would feel like Mass Effect. Defending the quality of MEA by describing lack of quality in the trilogy is an interesting approach. Desperate move in desperate times.

I think we can stipulate that peak Bio works for BG2, in the somewhat limited sense that Bio was as far ahead of the current state-of-the-art as they ever have been. (I'd award DA:O a tie in this regard, but mileages will vary.) It would be unreasonable to grade BG2 ahistorically, since so much of it is obsolete -- the romance tracks and general lack of meaningful choice would be unacceptable in a modern RPG, for instance I'd say BG2 has more meaningful choices than Andromeda... Deciding between the guild or the vampires, for example - and the game itself is more 'open world' than Andromeda, with more places to visit, and 15! possible companions to recruit. And the visuals in that game, aside from the sprites, are still gorgeous. Music is 1000% better as well. Nah I'm pretty sure da music of BG2 are 1,000,000 folds better than MEA. And, the NPC team mates are about 1,000 times more interesting.

The space boob is the only reason for 18+ rating. The entire story, characters, and world setting are on par with 13+ Saturday cartoon at best.

This IP has lost any sense of consistency it used to have so it's really not worth arguing IMO. If they seemed to at least try to care about this sort of stuff I would gladly debate it though. I guess there's too many yes-men at BioWare and switching up animators and writers just feeds into the loss of consistent rules especially stuff like how big a biotic shield can be which level designers, artists and animators have to check just as much as the writer assigned has to describe it for them and Mac Walters has to say "Awlright, that's a wrap guys!"They broke down the elements of the series to basic science fantasy tropes at this point, that's why biotics and tech skills are just as much magic as the Force or Psychic powers in 40k. Nah, psychic in Wh40k would not be so powerful enough to shield battlebarges from torpedos. Hence it is more believable to an extent. Of course primarchs and emperor himself do not count.

Yeah, I've also done goofy shit like this with friends but it feels like a bunch of 17-year-olds and not mid-twenties who are doing important things. I like that the crew can feel like family but I think BioWare should tie up the knot a little bit next time. They've sunken too far into the deep end with this type of casual Citadel DLC stuff IMO where everything is just meandering. I did like that this side quest builds up over the course of the game and goes through most crew members to help establish it though. I just think the scene is super forced and feels like some bad bonus material. It's a real "kill your babies" situation (context: turn of phrase that refers to when artists have to cut out stuff they really like for a better overall impression) Regarding whether it's comical or not, I just think this was too slapstick-like. It's childish. The comparison is a stark contrast to this Wanna make it funny and endearing? Make it at least look like it's a bunch of adults having fun. I'll knock the witcher for all kinds of reasons but when this little drinking game happened and evolved into what it did i almost choked on my own tongue laughing. Yup that drinking game is awesome in real life as well. Tried it last week and still avoiding direct eye contact with colleagues.

6 month later MEA will launch right into RDR2. Even current BW is not that dimwit. So apparently it was better to release unpolished piece of crap in hopes to get some extra scrapes from sales? Well, UBI learned that the hard way with AC:Unity ruining Syndicate sales despite Syndicate being a solid game all around. Seeing parallels here, similar can be expected for the next ME installment. Screw the reputation and future sales - we want more money now!So much for not being that dimwit... At any rate you cant deny that game needed polish, whether month, two or more, it does not matter. But hey, dont let me keep you from apologizing BW, ppl like you are one of the main reasons to how they make their living. I don't deny it at all, intends at least another 12 month polishing, but I don't believe this one is on EA.
