Damn i.might have to trade in the Valkyrie for one of these bests. Honestly I would but the one thing I am still holding back on is my Valk is already up to level VIII. And I would like my ghost to be that high up, before I switch...but the idea of getting 52 rounds per clip does sound....well good.

Yeah my initial idea with Robert is I wanted him to be more of a Sniper specialist with an AR, but for the AR I did not know if I wanted to go with something fully auto and sort of 'street sweeper' or burst/ one shot firing, like the Valk. I ended up going with the Valk because I really do like the gun and I really do not like any of the other MW fully auto guns.

Really odd that it wasn't in at launch, considering it's the Initiative standard issue rifle and in most cutscenes, as well as on some action figures, but I'm glad it's there now. I like the visual design and it sounds effective. I'll probably use it as my main weapon on my next playthrough, whenever that is. This weapon is hope. Means it's pretty easy for them to add weapons. If we keep pushing, I'm sure they'll give us the Harrier and Raider Hate to burst your bubble, but not necessarily. This weapon may have been almost done at launch, since half of it was in the game already. Sidenote The Javelin was replaced by the Isharay. It took me a moment to make the connection The Javelin at least had its short charge-up before firing to separate it from other single-shot sniper rifles like the Widow, and the Isharay lacks that. Would have been kind of cool, though.

DAMNIT I want one... I checked a bunch a vendors in game and NO ONE is selling one, and I don't have enough Milky Way research points to spend to make one over level I Gonna keep trying for research loot boxes... Also, nice to hear that mods don't affect the color too much.

Damn i.might have to trade in the Valkyrie for one of these bests. I was mistaken. It's actually 59 per clip with VHS at Tier 4. Oddly enough, those last seven shots are significant for me. I often run it down to 1-3 shots left when unloading on a "heavy". This will definitely be my main caster gun, now. Since I run a lot of casters, I'll be seeing a lot of this thing. I haven't tried the Valkyrie since the patch. I'll bet it's insane. Nearly all of the weapons got buffed. I know both it's damage and clip size increased. I should load my save in which I have a Tier 10 Valkyrie and give it a go. Yeah, I'm liking it lots. Getting used to the initial instability but overall a really great well-rounded gun. The Valkyrie is probably still damage king. I just prefer full-auto and controlling my own bursts to burst-fire like the Valk has. Interestingly, much like the M-25 Hornet, the Ghost feels way more accurate than its rating, even with extended full-auto fire. I use a stability mod on both ARs, regardless. The Ghost felt more steady, to me. The Valkyrie likes to kick up on the second shot, which can make rapid-fire a minor battle. It kills so quickly, though, that it hardly matters. These are definitely the two gems of the AR family. I'm not sure whether the Pathfinder Elite rifle now goes to Tier 10. It's a fun, low-level weapon. It sounds and looks pretty good, and generally carries me until I find or craft a Tier 3 or 4 weapon that I like. I killed the Eos Architect on Insanity with that thing, earlier. I am playing as an Adept, too, so no Turbocharge or weapon passives, yet.

Since we're on the topic of weapons.
What are some good alternatives to a Bio-Converted Isharay now that Life Support comes with an 8 seconds cooldown.
Want snipers with big damage that will get off multiple shots in a clip. Goal is to drop enemies in 1-2 shots.

I really can't recall, but that's a good point. I'm pretty sure that the VHS reduces clip size by 30%. (For some reason, the reduction isn't listed as the other augmentation penalties now are.) If I'm right, then 50+ shots makes sense, since it typically would have 70 or 80+ shots. I generally use all mods excepting scopes for ARs, but I'm low-level, at the moment. I only have what I've found, thus far. joglee, you have to craft in via R&D.

I tried the VHS on a Black Widow. Turned out no mag mod will offset the clip penalty and it basically becomes a less powerful Regular Widow, so I couldn't live with that.
I hate scopes on AR's. I feel that the restricted field of view kind of ruins their versatility. The only type of AR I'd use it on is something semi-automatic that hits harder so it would be like a poor man's sniper rifle, but even that isn't very appealing to me. I just use stocks, mags barrels and sometimes receivers.

Might be similar to the Maverick armor. No research required just development. I do know it should be somewhere in the R&D though

Yea ME3 especially saw a shotgun popularity increase. People began to bust out they Shotgun Infiltrators. Shotguns were pretty badAZZ as early as the first Mass Effect. Wrex and Ashley would Carnage all to death.

It now shows up in the Milky Way Weapons Research.
Overall, it's pretty "meh." It has a unique mechanic in that it's accuracy improves the longer you hold down the trigger (think Hyperion weapons from the Borderlands series). Starting accuracy is probably on-par with the Cyclone and after about 3 seconds, it's about as accurate as the Pathfinder AR or Valkyrie. Rate of fire is decent, but it's a rare blueprint that only has 2 augment slots to start and is grossly over-shadowed by other rare weapons.
It sort of fits the LMG role with it's massive magazine size, but it's surprisingly weak with lots of augments, so might as well just stack weapon dmg. Does well with the heat-sink though, but the constant accuracy/bloom resetting when you cease firing makes it more of a soldier class weapon that may couple well with a construct build, not a power spammer.
