Oh yeah, almost forgot: The reload interrupts, not to be confused with reload cancel.
I know they tuned the reloads a bit in the first patch I think, but reloads still get interrupted by everything. Use the jetpack = interrupt, sprint = interrupt, cast a power = interrupt. And there's probably more. It doesn't help that reloads take forever, having interrupts for every other action you perform is just aggravating. I just spam R whenever I want to reload since is the only way to make sure it'll get done eventually. Also the off-host reload bug in which your character sometimes perform up to 4 times the reload animation until it gets done. I just want to commit suicide whenever that happens.

Venom ShotgunI feel like the patch brought this weapon somewhat closer to where it should be, as the ability for the pellets to explode on impact helps to make its damage output more reliable. With that said, half of this weapons problem still has to do with the charging mechanic. Most actions in the game will cause you to lose the charge effect, including: Sprinting, landing from a jump, using a power, and being staggered. In addition, I've noticed that you can only charge the weapon once the previously fired munition(s) have all exploded. This limits the weapons damage potential and effectiveness at area of denial. My suggestion would be to rework the charge mechanic for the weapon so that you at least don't lose the charge when either sprinting or landing from a jump. It should also be allowed to charge immediately after firing a previously charged shot. Lastly, there is still an issue with the rumble feature not initiating when charging the weapon at times (I play on Xbox One). Turian Havoc SoldierMaybe it's just me, but I feel this character could be made more unique by allowing for player-controlled movement when hovering; though you obviously wouldn't be able to change your hover height. Having such an ability would really set the character apart, and play to her strengths, rather than just drifting off in one direction; hoping you'll land a shot. I'd even go a step further an say that, if you score a kill while hovering, you should be given an additional evade while in the air. This would complete the character as an air skirmisher, allowing you to quickly dart around the air securing kills. OMG so much yes to this! It would totally boost this kit from 'not really working' to 'most versatile unigue'.

Again and again and again; Button mapping. Let us change any feature to any other key as we see fit.
--- Krogineer is just too damn squishy, it's like playing a hanar. Powers are great now, but you're forced to melee to be only a little resistant. She can't survive on her own at all. I recommend changing rage to tech rage: tech kills instead of melee, and much higher resistance, regeneration and or shield buffs. Changing overload to shield drain would be a complete fix on it's own, but combine these suggestions will redeem this poor excuse of a Krogan. Completely.

The ability to select how many packs or items to buy at once in the store would be good. 5x revive pack, for example.

Randomly from the top of my head: 1. QoL: Weapons like Lanat should just autocharge when not doing actions that would otherwise interrupt it. 2. Some powers could use further buffs. 3. Some weapons could use further buffs, specially ARs - they should really be better versions of SMGs, but heavier, not the other way around... 4. Reload is annoying af. 5. CTDs... 6. Sound drop bug still persists. 7. Remove the melee stagger. 8. Buff barrier drain back up. 9. Introduce heavy melee again. 10. Making differing melee base dmg (aka, buff krogan melee) 11. Make Krogan tankier, like, heavier shields and buff rage regen and have it active in combat as well.

Fiend teleport/sync kill still happening. Instantly appearing on top of me indoors with zero time to react (as host). Seems like it is a pathing issue similar to the way the remnant VI behaves.

Suggestion: Extraction objective improvement
Beginning of extraction wave, objective 'Survive until extraction' announced. Extraction circle is possibly even red at this time, like an enemy occupied upload. Marked, but not shown as a safe place to be yet.
At 30s or so, kandros announces 'Get to extraction!' and extraction circle becomes active, highlighting green when all players are inside and alive.
This would help distinguish the extraction from hack objectives, and hint at players that they're intended to wait for the extraction time, not hold it like a hack circle.

Krogan Rage needs to be reworked. Requires too much to activate for too little reward. 6A is mandatory.
While full autos and burst fire weapons (except the Sweeper) are now doing well for the most part, semi-auto ARs are still not in a good place. And even then, an SMG will usually outperform an AR at all ranges.
I'd like to see new powers introduced so Biotics aren't as gimped vs armor and shields. Warp, for example, should make a return. Tech powers can handle any situations- shields, armor, red health- and they can still so decent damage against them if types don't match. Biotics suck against 2 out of the 3, even WITH Anti-Shield. Armor and shields literally render several Biotic powers fairly useless.
Speaking of Biotics- Pull has some issues with enemies getting caught on things and not being able to pull Observers or Breachers is really annoying.
General netcode fixes are needed as well to help with rubber banding or not being able to climb a ledge due to lag.

Tone down the dog spam and introduce some of the armored animals from campaign in the laster waves. Seriously I haven't read anyone say they think the dogs are fun to play against.
We really need more dlc characters with powers that aren't reused. Game needs more variety. That's what it's missing the most at the moment in my opinion. Me3 had so many cool unique kits and races. This game is so bland in comparison.

Things the game needs: 1. Random / random lobby with XP / gold boost 2. More enemy variety. Revant needs 2 or so more enemy types for it to be more interesting. A mini architect as a boss type mob could work as one. Less observers spawned as a result. Kett needs a couple of adjustments. Fiend should be changed to be a menace close up, without a sync move. Let it melee for your whole shield bar. Just remove that buggy, non fun sync move. Berserkers permanently added. Outlaw has good enemy variety compared to the other two. 3. Platinum 4. Scrap the apex missions and come up with a new concept for variety. Some examples could be: - Survive a 10 min onslaught as one wave then extract (essentially just a 10 min extraction wave with never ending mobs). - Play against a mixed faction - A 10 wave mission where each wave is against a different faction - A special mission where all enemy shield and armor is converted to red bar (yes, tossing a fiend off the map would be fun ) - A special mission where no red bar exists, all enemies have either full shields or full armor and then die. - A mission where each wave is an objective wave. The amount of objective stars at the end gives you bonus gold / xp. - Special enemy type missions. All enemies are fiends mission, all enemies are snipers mission, all enemies are berserkers mission. Full out sadist mode. 5. Sound bug needs to be fixed. 6. Assault rifles still needs adjustments.

N7 Crusader cannot be given the smart choke.
Related:
Either the gun needs to be able to be given the smart choke AND a an accuracy buff
OR
The next balance changes need to re institute the pin-point cross hairs from ME3
The latter would be preferred.

I have a suggestion about an improvment at the remnant ruins gravity well in multiplayer...at extraction rather then fade to black...instead howabout we float up, just like in campaign rather then fade to black...i dont see how the ship can make it down into the gravity well anyway, so it just seams more natural and logical...i think it would be neat to have our characters float up in a glittery beam of light with arms at our side, palms out and head tilted back as we ascend toward our ship...perhaps multiple view angles...each time we complete the map, a different view, close up, faraway, a view that followes u up, or a slight spin around around the ascending players, kinda like in dragon age multiplayer at the end

bsn.boards.net/thread/10570/buskell-ehlien-reddit-states-ratesJust want any devs reading this to know that you are complete fucking idiots to change the pitty rng. I no longer give any shits about your game, if this is the case. I have been saving for a long time now, and based on my projections, I won't "need" to buy any more packs until I have about 30 million saved or until you drop another UR character kit (the main reason why I am saving. All I can says is that I'm keeping calm and carrying on. But holy hell, if I start buying and come to find some true fuckery has gone down with these drop rates, you all don goofed hard. I am going to hope that the 30% premium pack drop reports are true. And if they aren't, you might want to look into that before you shoot yourself even more times in the foot.

Have us choose which difficulty we want to play the weekly apex missions on. I'd like to play the weekly ones on gold. Actually I prefer to play all apex's on gold, but I doubt you will give us that, so please just make the weekly missions adjustable for difficulty.

I have been thinking about the offhost and network lag issues.
They are sort of built into the game - you cannot have the scrolling kill credit on the left if you do not have some sort of careful coordination between hosts indicating how much damage came from each host. And those go for the end game credits also.
But it would be OK, I think, if those kill credits were delayed. Things which are bad when delayed are positioning and damage. But I don't think that part of the game can be fixed without being rebuilt... (maybe it can, but if it were easy wouldn't it already be done?)
But frostbite was sort of built to be this way, so I think we are really talking about rebuilding part of frostbite?
Anyways, the problem I think is that each player is separated from the others by lag and each message gets different lag and that has to be a part of the game but the problem is conveying this to the players without making the game feel broken. Also, the whole thing with determining what messages have not been received is sort of a black art (involving timers and counters and stuff).
So.. what special effects could be used here, when the game is getting hints that either it is being lagged or that some other player is being lagged?
I keep thinking about fog effects or weather effects, they don't quite work for the second-by-second stuff (except maybe thunder and lightning) but could maybe be used to represent long term trends?
For short term effects I keep thinking about teleporting, but if the game goes there it needs special effects (I think vanguards get motion lines, or something like that) and that should definitely include sound effects (especially important for when things are teleporting in behind you) and some fraction of a second of a stall for reorientation for npcs after (which I imagine should not be a problem to implement, since things were already lagging).
Maybe there could be some other ways of dealing with network lag? Mostly I feel like lag is too hidden and neglected (because dealing with it is sort of opposite of the usual fast&efficient aspects of game implementation, so it's easy for lag related logic to get lost), and that frostbite was making attempts to fix that, but that the ideas got broken in the design, or something. Anyways, I guess I am not expecting any easy fixes but this is easily the most frustrating part of any online game (and has been a motivation, I think, for the "damage sponge" thing in lots of games), including especially MEA.

Black Widow reloads way too slow and has lousy rate of fire. This is why Vanquisher still outshines it in MP.

1. Assault rifles still suck (most of them) - they, in fact, a "sucker weapon class" now. Too many pointless guns - Zalkin, Cyclone, Halberd, Sandstorm and many more other. They don't pack a punch and take way too much time to kill stuff even in the "+50% damage for AR, -50% damage for rest" missions. I for one would prefer them to have severely higher damage with respectively reduced clip size. Plus - semi-auto ones like Mattock/Halberd/Sandstorm shall also stagger on hit IMHO. I have been thinking about this, and about game balance, and I *think* I can describe how I expect weapon classes to be balanced. Each class should have an advantage, and a limitation, which matters for how you play. Some weapons in the class might deviate from the mold, but that just requires additional balancing effort for that weapon. Anyways, here's a crude first approximation Sniper Rifles: +weak point damage, long range; -reload time, rate of fire Assault rifles: +rapid fire; -bloom Shotgun: +high damage; -short range Pistol: +light weight; -mediocre ... anyways ... I am obviously not the one in charge here ...

I'm just going to drop my two cents on weapon balance.
As a whole assault rifles are still under performing. Nearly every assault rifle is outperformed by a comparable pistol or sniper rifle. This starts from the commons, even with its accuracy nerf the Charger still offers superior DPS in a lighter package than the Avenger. The Raptor and Indra offer both damage and accuracy that things like the Thokin and Revenant can't hope to match. Meanwhile the buffed Valkyrie is now only on about even ground with the Incisor and the Hornet is the new king of burst-fire weapons.
Then there's the semi-auto weapons in general. The semi-auto assault rifles are far behind the curve and lack individuality. The Halberd is barely an upgrade from the Mattock and the Sandstorm falls behind both. The semi-auto pistols are suffering as well, the phalanx and sidewinder have enough RoF that they are comfortable to use but their damage pales in comparison to the full-auto or burst-fire options. Meanwhile the Carnifex feels sluggish and doesn't have the stopping power to compensate.
To play armchair designer a bit more I'd recommend these sorts of changes for the semi-autos:
Increase the Mattock's damage to the current Halberd's (150-180), possibly reduce it back to a 16 round magazine to compensate.
The Halberd and Sandstorm need more defining features. One of them needs to become the new Saber, a slow but massively powerful assault rifle that is the "sniper AR" to the Raptor/Indra's "AR sniper". My vote is to make the Sandstorm into this by massively buffing its damage to something in the realm of 350-400.
That leaves the Halberd in need of a niche. Barring redesigning the weapon entirely to be an auto-mattock, this games Harrier, it needs to be something other than just being a slightly stronger Mattock. In addition to bumping up its damage another step (200-250), giving it something like innate piercing capability would be a neat feature that could start to give the Halberd an identity of its own.
On the Pistol side of the equation I think the Carnifex is in dire need of a faster RoF and/or a bit more damage. The Phalanx could also stand to be faster and the Sidewinder should hit a bit harder to quantify its rare status.

i have three wishes :
1. Make Krogans look intimidating. Nothing against midgets but why is more Krogan kits smaller than a Berserker? Less staggers for Krogans too.
2. Charge mechanic. Just being able to charge and do things would make this game more fun. The Venom is pretty good now if you didn't get to play it as much on ME3, but imagine being able to charge the venom while being able to jump around like a crazy maniac. Being able to charge it while charging into an enemy with the vanguard was super fun.
3. Removing Cyclonic modulator 4/Ammo capacity 4/T-VI 4 from the rng pool. Though the rng is a bit better here than ME3, it's frustrating to get these items in MEA but in ME3? Getting Cyclonic 4 or adrenaline mod 4 was as exciting as getting a UR.. These items need to stop go.

1. Lag related issues while playing off-host:
- Dash animation gets "canceled" resulting in a shorter dash distance. - Jump animation gets "canceled" resulting in a shorter jump height. - Pull skill gets "canceled", other sustained skills might be affected too. - The cooldown of a skill doesn't show while playing off-host. Only after trying to use that skill again makes it visible again.
There seems to be some kind of "mini-disconnect(?)" going on while playing off-host.
2. Wishlist:
- Change contextual cover to manual cover. Maybe impossible if there are no more buttons to assign to on consoles. This might also be one of the reasons why we can't jump over/onto environments while playing off-host. You get into cover automatically while mid-air and thus making it impossible to jump over/onto environments resulting in jumping over and over and over again. Really annoying and often times resulting in deaths or partial extractions.
- Locked-in melee camera. I don't know the reasoning why they did this but my guess is to make the melee animation more cinematic? In any case, during the heat of a battle, I find myself surrounded by multiple enemies and being locked-in and unable to see my surrounding is very frustrating. Even if it's not an urgent situation we should be able to check what is going on around us. During higher difficulty games situational awareness is very important and those split seconds could mean the difference between life and death.
- Krogans shouldn't get staggered. It's a Krogan. Do I need to say more? A Krogan getting staggered by a puny human? Come on! Krogans should only be staggered by Berserkers and above.
- Unify menu keybindings inside lobbies. Unify, please.
- Display turret health. Being able to see the remaining health of turrets allows us to tactically explode it.
- Display teammates health/shield, skill cooldown meter, active skills, and remaining consumable counts. Similar to The Division. More information = more efficient/tactical gameplay.
- Don't stand up while turning around in cover. You are in cover. Why would you stand up if you turn around? A good example why a manual cover mechanic might be more beneficial.
- Explosions are too smokey on the Scorpion and the Naladen. I and especially my teammates can't see what is going on on the battlefield. I don't want to be "that guy" resulting in never using these weapons.
- Shooting a Cobra RPG should override weapon reloading. If I want to panic-shoot an RPG nothing should stop me from doing so. Getting grabbed by an Adhi during the process is unfortunate but at least it shouldn't get blocked by reloading a weapon.
- Less arc on Overload. It sometimes gets stuck on environments. I understand it looks cool like a lightning and all but if it hinders the usage of a skill it should get fixed.
- Execution is too fast. Sometimes I or my teammates get immediately executed. Give us a fixed amount of time to react accordingly.
3. Bug list:
- Getting grabbed while Charge/Nova by Adhi. I don't think this is working as intended. Can't imagine someone getting grabbed mid-charge.
- Getting executed by Agent proxies. I don't get shot by proxies so I'll assume this is a bug.
- Enemies shoot through walls. Enemies in cover don't shoulder swap correctly resulting in shooting us through walls and us not being able to shoot them.
- Skills get blocked by cover. Happens usually when using skills on enemies slightly below your line of sight. Again, being able to manually disengage from cover would be very useful.
- Sound bug. Sound disappears except mic audio.
- Can't melee/shoot RPG when a teammate is down. Don't know if it got fixed but going to leave it here in case it's still persistent.
- Targets not obstructed are obstructed. Can't use Charge on targets which are clearly not obstructed. Usually, targets in mid-air.
- Chained Overload arcs don't trigger combo detonations. Bug or working as intended?
- Still a target after cloaking. Maybe a lag issue but I find myself getting hit by missiles and Adhi/Wraiths after cloaking.
- Remain cloaked(only visually) during the remainder of a game. I think it only happens while playing off-host.
- Weapon ammo count is always in default at the start of a mission. Ammo equipment or boosters are not taken into account resulting in having to reload at the start of a mission.
- Delayed dash after stagger. I wanted to evade a staggering attack but I was a bit slow and got hit. Now, don't make me dash after the stagger. The situation has obviously changed and I might want to take a different action than dashing.
- Barricade fading animation is not in sync with actual skill timer. The fading animation starts too fast, resulting in it to visually disappear while being still active.
Please correct me if I'm wrong on some issues.
