So is Mass Effect Andomeda MP going to be good or will they screw it up?

I certainly hope they learned a thing or two about the Frostbite Engine from DAIMP.

If you've played DAIMP, you already know the answer.

All I know is what I have learned the past 4 years. When ME3mp needed a refresh after the successful Earth Dlc, instead of new maps and mechanics everyone was asking for, they decided to drown the game with their stupidity wrong decisions. In the end the game was left totally unbalanced -much like EAware. Just yesterday I landed in a beginner's lobby, but I stayed for a while, for science. Ten people joined and left, nine of them had a fucking Reegar. Can you believe it? I mean, why bother creating a whole game and then piss on it.

Biovar likes to follow the same patterns. And without BSN, they will sure lack the pressure they had from the community. That concerns me the most. My impression is that ME:A is going to start out great, then it will be reduced to a boring Reegar-like shit, repetitive chore.

The thing I probably love the most in this game is top-scoring Sexbot reegar pugs with underrated setups. I have more trouble topscoring Turian Ghosts carriers because unlike the reegar they have range and I can't killsteal everything with a sniper.

As flawed as DAMP was I still got 800 hours out of it.

Which probably says more about the friends I play with than the game itself

BUT as mentioned above without BSN Prime to focus their attention will they give as much of a fuck?

Agreed but I can't help it.  My suspicion is that it will be a fire in a dumpster.  DAIMP could have been a lot of fun and was quite fun in parts but they took the idea of MEMP made some adjustments and look what happened.  Still, wait and see.

Yeah but the one still influenced the other, especially in design structure and coding - I'm pretty sure they said so. The different teams aren't isolated and hermetically sealed from one another.

Bioware would be stupid as fuck not to capitalize on the success of me3mp with a new one. Yeah DA:I fell flat but if they get this thing right, you know everyone who had any enjoyment in me3mp will be all over that one too. 

So, if the SP (read: endings) piss everyone off again, the MP comes in to save the day.

If it's more MEMP than DAIMP it should be okay. But given Biowares latest track record I'm not sure if it will be.

They succeeded by accident!!  I think the low profile of MP saved it from Executive Meddling. That won't happen again, though.

The elephant 800lb gorilla in the room here is micro-transactions. Now that evil EA Corporate knows MP was successful, they'll push Biovar to maximize profit through MEA MP. So get ready for a glorified mobile phone game that railroads you into buying upgrades with real money rather than space bucks.

But look on the bright side - if EA sees MP as a cash factory, they may push for more features and longer support than the game may otherwise have. On the other hand, EA's been happy to release broken games before and still insist its customers pay up for the good stuff.

So if the MP is full of more nickeling & dining than a first-run movie theater/professional sports game/RyanAir/SleazyJet/Spirit Airlines, and if the game beats you over the head with the writers' political agendas, I may acquire this game in 2027 from GoodOldGames (assuming EA has done away with On the House, which they will if they look at the number of games I have paid for).
