So we get more URs from premium packs and less from expert packs. Seems fair. So far there has not been any evidence to show that Premium packs have had their drop rates improved. The only evidence we have from testing is that the pity timer on Expert packs has been reduced from 1-in-10 to 1-in-30. The fact that Bioware did not catch this mistake until after this community noted it makes it all the worse as we are basically being punished for our loyalty. To make matters worse this change does not improve the game, only makes the grind worse for the sake of Bioware's revenue stream. Additionally this change was not included in the patch notes and again it was the community that had to question if the drop rates were changed before getting a confirmation. For a game that is struggling right now, this seems like nothing more than a cash grab before dropping support, especially since we still haven't had any DLC even mentioned yet. No, but Premium packs always; 1; Had the pity timer 2; Were supposed to have better drop rates than Expert. Bioware fixed #2 by nerfing Expert packs. #1 is still valid as far as I've been able to see. link Link to my 40 pack video. It is worth noting that I maxed my rares by Premium Box #2, and that every 10th Premium box gave me an UR, no exceptions. The 40 packs gave me 10URs total.

Oh good, are we having this discussion again? Was it "working as intended"? For the 938,713,486,999th and final time, IT WAS WORKING AS INTENDED. The developer who coded it, coded it that way. On purpose. And posted that. I can no longer find the quote from her, but she said unequivocally that reload canceling was an intended part of the game. Stop with this argument, it is full fail and a distraction from a good thread. @op: nice work!

Well, they're spitting in their own soup ( just my opinion ofc ). First they deliver beta and sell it as finished product, then they need 2 months to bring the game to what it should be in the first place.
Getting 1 UR every 500k was actually a small treat for and now they remove this as it seems. They should have """""" give it a higher chance to drop not lesser, but hey....BW listens to their fans no?

The price of an UR remains roughly the same, you just need to save up a million credits instead of 500K so progress will seem slower.

I wouldn't really mind if there was better / more consumables in premium.

Well, my point was/is - make it less of a grind, all things considered. But as it seems ( it was obvious after original guys left ) BW is just part of big machine now and so are their products lately.
So yes, I expected a bit of a fan servise - remember Citadel?

If we're getting a pity timer, than I'd say the grind is probably better in this game than it was in ME3. I imagine once Platinum drops (which I hope it does), it'll hopefully halve the amount of time we need in order to max UR's. Really, the only reason it seems like it'll take forever to grind, is because we have many more UR's to collect from launch; this time around.

Really glad I packed up ME:A and haven't installed the new patched. Just seems like EA wants to squeeze the hardcore crowd for as many real world shekels as they can. Would not be surprised if the premium packs get crewed with.

Drop rate is mostly random. There might be a pity counter, but I'm not sure it's what people think it is. It still seems to be 1/10 for a lot of people. I spent 550k yesterday and got 3 UR. Then I bought 15 packs in a row after that and got zilch. I also bought a bunch of premium packs in that 15 pack spree. Some days, RNG is good to you. Some day, not so much. I'm likely going to save up to 1mill before going on a spree now. Still going to buy mostly expert packs. I really like getting consumables as my guns are pretty good already and I'm maybe a month away from max manifest.
This is what I think of consumables. It's pretty hard to get tech booms or increase your gun as strong without consumables. I see a lot of premium pack buying bitches who come into games with no revive packs. Irritates me. Some days, I buy 20-30 supply packs in one spree.
