Wow, this is some great stuff!  Love all the background info on Kaidan.  I mean, I knew from just playing the game that Alenko was Spectre material.  Interesting to see how the Council came to these conclusions.  I always thought Udina believed Kaidan would be easily manipulated, not knowing that his loyalty to Shepard would prevent that from happening.  Or, more to the point, that he simply has a set of ethics that would prevent him from doing anything despicable.  So while the Alliance obviously was okay with putting forward Kaidan because he's well qualified, Udina had ulterior motives that didn't take into account what kind of man he truly was.

That's from the Expanded Galaxy Mod, right? I don't think it's canon, they're just very good at using pre-existing information to create highly plausible scenarios. Most of the dates are correct and taken straight from the dev timeline (implanted with L2 in 2167, killed Vyrnus in 2168, enlisted in 2173 etc.). A lot of it is conjecture. For example: Kaidan was exposed to eezo in utero in Singapore, which makes it likely that he was born there, but it's never outright stated; the SSV Tokyo was the ship Anderson was serving on prior to the Normandy, and he mentions in his Citadel audio logs that they gave him his pick of the crew, so it's possible that Kaidan was one of the people he chose to serve on the Normandy because he already knew him from the Tokyo, but again, it's not officially stated anywhere as far as I'm aware. A lot of things are just filling in the blanks: it's said that Kaidan has several commendations to his name in the first game, the majority of military officers today have college degrees, Alliance frigates are named after famous battles in history and the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest is one of the most decisive battles in history, Theshaca Raids of 2178 are mentioned in the planet's description etc. 

The EGM' codex entries and personnel files are very-well written and look almost indistinguishable from actual canon, though they do slip up from time to time. For example, in the previous version of the mod, Shepard's enlistment date was incorrectly listed, 2175 instead of 2172 IIRC (it's been corrected since). In this screenshot, there's a typo at the beginning: it's in utero and not en utero. Also, there's no such thing as too detailed to be made up.

So, all of this is canon-compliant, but not actually canon.

Its nice addition but I wouldn't say anything the mod is canon. It is a mod after all.

I do not see too much inconsistency. Someone can be manipulated using her/his loyalty.

The art is beautiful! I wish I had talent enough to draw my Shepard with Kaidan

A bookstore in my town have been selling some remaindered copies of DarkHorse comics and Mass Effect library edition is one of them. I found the first volume copy in 2014 but that didn't have Kaidan in it  

Now I know why I like Kaidan so much, since I identified with Nietzsche... 

Also I'm relistening Sherrilyn Kenyon's Styxx being read by Fred Berman. His voice is like Sbarge  its like a younger Kaidan.

It's a mod, I'm sure about it. Some of that comes from ME.wiki, some is made up. I don't think all those detalis are necessary, to be honest. Good lore leaves room for headcanons, imo. Write too much - and it becomes boring, write too little - and it would be lacking, not enough to fuel the imagination.

That picture makes me want to replay Mass Effect 3 again! Though I promised myself I'd romance Steve next time, but...Kaidan is just so amazing. I'm addicted to him.
