Canadian Delicacy - The Kaidan Alenko Thread

So I'm the odd one out here.

I always get Javik after Garrus. I prefer to have all possible squadmates/companions, in games that have them, as soon as possible. Javik is also paid dlc so I want to have him around as much as I can; picking him up early so I can hear him snark talk about things and I like to use him on a few missions. I especially like bringing him to meet Grunt. Hard to imagine not doing that now.

I have taken Kaidan to Eden Prime with me once, but long enough ago that maybe I should try it again... Would make for an interesting little mission right before locking in his romance.

Javik is available as a squadmate right after recruiting Garrus, so that's why I go after Menae (and I like to bring EDI so he's grumpier than usual upon waking). He has comments after missions that I like to hear, particularly non-N7 missions, like: he has different dialogue after the rachni mission depending on whether or not he met Grunt (including interaction with Grunt during), and also if he was brought to kill the Reaper on Tuchanka. I've even brought him to Sur'Kesh, which was amusing.

Tbh, the amount that Kaidan refers to Ashley is annoying in retrospect because she never mentions him in 3. Not a single time that I know of or can recall. 

Kaidan If I should have to choose between him and Theron Shan, I would cut my wrists. Lets see, I think I have made some stuff I could as well share:

I'm about to start a new Kaidanmance playthrough, wish me luck to not being hit on by Liara or Ashley in the ninja way lol I read that the progression from friends to lovers is very lovely and special and I think I will like it better than my modded run   I don't know if you can get the hug in ME2 though, that was the cutest thing in the game.

I was hoping for the hug like when Shepard hugs Liara as just friends, oh well 

Hmmm..now I'm curious. Is the booze you buy him needed to start the romance? I always buy it for him anyway...but now I'm wondering.

LOL! For some reason that makes sense. He does seem to love a good drink! At least he isn't a bad drunk though...like Tali. I swear most of the Citadel party I was like "she needs rehab".

EDI also teases Liara about "dinosaurs." I think it's the default line just delivered differently by each person.
