I am not *loving* it so far, but I like it enough to approve of its release Let's be honest, this game isn't mass Effect and yet it's called mass Effect which consequently dampens and ruins the franchise with its poor writing, retcons and themes. I am not a diehard fan of anything therefore these things never bother me.

Totally. In fact, from this day onward I declare the ban on video-games. They'll never be up to the exacting standard of what the Perfect Video-games should be, and so it is a pointless endeavor. No video-games. Only chess. After it's perfected, patched and bug-fixed. Seriously, the Knights have the worst shape in the history of wooden figurines ever, and using the same board as checkers is just so moronic.

I don't see why it shouldn't have come out, the demand is there, I'm curious where you get the statistics saying otherwise.
I voted no, I do however think it should've been delayed another half a year or so.

i dont understand the poll yes is for release and no for never should release? I think that's the joke: no matter where the majority of votes fall, Dutch can claim it fell in favor of his claim.

i dont understand the poll yes is for release and no for never should release? Now that you pointed it out I am confused too.. I checked "Yes" because I thought that it was "Yes for the release", but now I think that it was just "Yes I agree that it should've never released ", therefore I switched to "No"

hah. Common consensus on the Internet...nothing like some hyperbole to start a post and a biased question to support the outcomes.

MEA just stumbled in here like Maybe that explains it. I fucking love Chris Farley And Dutch, it's ok to hate a game. Doesn't mean releasing it or even making it was a mistake. It's better for them to try new things than do the same old formula. I enjoyed the heck out of the game.

And Dutch, it's ok to hate a game. Doesn't mean releasing it or even making it was a mistake. It's better for them to try new things than do the same old formula. I enjoyed the heck out of the game. Old formula doesn't mean bad game and new formual doesn't mean good game. I didn't want to have another Shepard rehashed, but that didn't mean they couldn't kept the same tone. Or the same level of companion writing. I had two playthroughs, so I can't say I don't like the game. But now I got the feeling, I've already seen it all. Not the same urge to start another playthrough trying something different I felt with the other games. It's certainly not on the level of DAII, where I would have voted for this game should have never come out. MEA is a good game, but I do miss certain things that add to my enjoyment of games in general and Bioware specifically. The one thing, in a companion based game, I like to equip my companions with what I consider to be right for the situation and the character. I also like to manually level them, which seems rather pointless here. The player has tons of skills to choose from, but the companions are stuck with a very limited selection. That kind of overlaps with why I said Bioware specifically. My major gripe with Andromeda were the companions that didn't grip me as much as the ones in previous games. A very limited selection and a pretty boring one, as compared to other Bioware games. Other than that, this game should have been released. One can have lots of fun playing it - after being patched and the initial problems being ironed out.

One can have lots of fun playing it - after being patched and the initial problems being ironed out. I would prefer two playthroughs each taking over a 100 hours than 5 or 6 playthroughs each taking 30 hours. Yes, the OT had more deviations in choices but ultimately it set them up for failure trying to bring it all together in the end. I would like to see a more distinct renegade playthrough in MEA2 while keeping the same shades of gray style dialogue. Perhaps you choose a paragon or rogue playstyle in the beginning as opposed to always choosing paragon or always choosing renegade dialogue like before. That was poorly designed IMO because I always eithe pressed up or always down. Again I appreciate MEA more because it's a larger game that can also be played quickly if you just stick to main campaign. I enjoy Witcher 3 so much because by the time I even get to another playthrough, I've put so many hours into my previous playthrough that it now feels like a fresh, new story. I can also progress all the side content the way I want. I couldn't do that with ME2 or ME3 really. While the pacing was better, I got bored of doing the same story missions over and over again. I can just go out and explore in MEA and have fun with combat. MEA2 needs those side missions to be more organic with the world and NPCs being more dynamic. That's the biggest difference between MEA and something like Witcher 3 or Zelda BOTW.

That's the biggest difference between MEA and something like Witcher 3 or Zelda BOTW. Yeah I think that's the main reason why I like DAI and why it's probably my favourite DA game too because it is a big game yes it does have the problem in that you can't progress all that fast through it due to the power requirement system which can be a pain at times and the zones can feel a little empty with not a lot going on but what with the wildlife and everything at times attacking you it can feel very organic which I like. Yes the main story is a littl short but in genera lit's a fun game. I believe they did learn from those mistakes I think which is a good thing because MEA has improved on that. The only thing for m that has ended up being worse in MEA for me compared with DAI tbh is the technical glitches and bugs which I hope the worst of are eventually remedied

I feel the larger games that do not give you an option to condense them in a 30-40 hour PT are unmanageable, and I just lose the desire to finish them. I forget how the story started if it took me more than a month to get through the game.
What I like is to roll through the story, fast and furious, then re-roll a different character, res-et the initial conditions on his or her engagement, and do it again, seeing how things are changing or how my perspective on the same events changes because I am playing someone else. DA2 is the game that drives my interest in DA franchise, because of how different Hawke is on each PT, so I create and Inquisitor to fit him/her and fake a Warden to fit him/her in DAK.
Also, when it is a long game and a lot of it is dedicated to getting stuff, skills, building gear, and it is really a laborious process, going through it a second time... just no, no way. That's why I can't replay Trilogy again. ME1 is really important story setting and to form Shepard, but ME1... just no. NG+ in Andromeda is a godsend and so is DAK to fake the Origins. Wish they had it for MET.
