What never should have happened is putting the B team in charge of a AAA franchise. I feel the same way. A studio that only did DLCs until then shouldn't have been in charge of an AAA product. But maybe we're entirely wrong and they only did the legwork while others called the shots. I'd say you're both looking at it wrong. Various companies have multiple studios. Bioware has 3 with a 4th being rumored, Ubisoft has multiples, activision has multiples (most CoD games rotate through those studios every year), and then 90% of the industry outsources whatever they outsource for others to work on. So I don't think blaming B team is really an excuse cause they're not the only ones and a B team can easily put out a game that is great. A company can't put out multiple games if they restrict themselves to only one team, so they expand into multiple studios to speed it up. It's why EA has expanded bioware, Andromeda is getting post launch support, the Dylan project is getting full attention and there's rumors that DA4 is at least in early development. An A team isn't covering all of that by themselves, especially in a timely manner. so while I guess you could blame B team for a bad game, I do think it unfair to say it's just cause they're a B team and not the A team if you get my meaning. montreal is a little special however because their only experience is ME3 multiplayer and the omega DLC, they've never done a full game till now. However they've now got that one game that they should start showing improvement game by game hopefully as their resume is now more than DLC and a tack on MP.

It's not a third it's a quarter. 90 against, 30 for =120. 120/30=4. (at the current time with rounding). Sheesh.

There's a reason why I haven't bought any Ubisoft game within nearly two decades. They're not what I expect from a good game. Not anymore for quite some time. Same goes for Bioware. I like MEA, but as opposed to previous Bioware titles, I don't love it. Them expanding studios to develop more isn't an asset in my books. Them getting experience with their core team would be. You said it yourself, it wasn't even them expanding, it was the mother company smacking the label of Bioware on yet another studio, but that in itself doesn't mean Bioware. It's just a label, carried by a rather inexperienced team. As far as Dylan goes. My interest, for all we know about it, is very limited, to put it mildly. And another DA, yes it's a rumor. One may ask, who should develop it. Edmonton is busy developping Dylan and Montreal just finished MEA and is still busy patching it.

After long consideration... i must say yes. Why ? Just 2 months after release, and i don't feel any vibes to play MEA anymore. Every evening, when my son sleeps, before going to bed i got 2-3 hours for myself, and usually i like to play a bit... for last 4-5 years, most of the time it was a mixture of ME, DA and TW series. I finished those series so many times, and i always got a lot of fun everytime. Something go really wrong that i don't feel any of it with MEA. Just 2 months after release...

Something go really wrong that i don't feel any of it with MEA. Just 2 months after release... I wouldn't say wrong. I got my enjoyment playing it. It doesn't create the same vibes I still feel for DAI, to name the last Bioware game I played. With DAI I still plan on another run to try something different this time. With MEA I'm on hold to see if anything is being released that could make for a new and different game experience. For me, on an entirely subjective level, it's mostly in the companions. Which I loved in DAI and which left me rather cold in MEA. Also the main reason why I still buy Bioware games. They always were top notch when writing companions. If they lost that skill suit, they're not that interesting for me anymore.

I can guess the reason for that is that DAI got a lot of emotional, "magic" memorable moments /Skyhold, Dawn Will Come etc/ which MEA have... well, it doesn't have at all. Yes, i think this is the main reason. I think that was that trigger - Citadel, Spectre, Virmire, Ilos... yes, that goes straight into my heart and was the reason why i was/still am in love with MET. I just miss those magic moments. A lot.

My memories of playing DAI are much warmer than playing MEA. I don't know why, cause i got more feelings for ME series. For me games are a kind of escapism from everyday life. Feeling at home when not fighting. I felt warm and fuzzy on the Normandy and I felt warm and fuzzy at Skyhold. The more I think about it, the more I boil that down to the companions not rising up to the same level of immersion. I don't get that feeling on the Tempest.

There's really no better way to describe it. As you said, both Skyhold and Normandy felt very warm... Tempest is beautiful, but even at the end of the MEA i wasn't feeling that this is my ship. Nexus from the other side was so bland and uninteresting comparing to Citadel. I remember when during ME1 i was on Citadel, i like to listen to every possible conversation, for example that one with some random human guy who tried to return some broken item to Turian seller. I still remember it ! I don't know why, but Nexus is for me some colorful, random zombie city, with a lot of odd conversations flying in the air. I can not get used to it.

I still remember it ! I don't know why, but Nexus is for me some colorful, random zombie city, with a lot of odd conversations flying in the air. I can not get used to it. It's been quite a few years since I last played ME1, but to be fair, in the other games, Citadel never felt very much alive. There were a few things like fish on the presidium in ME2, that made me smile. In ME3 it was a little bit better with James getting his tattoos, playing cards or Javvik demoralising the bystanders. Also the meetups with former squadmates. All in all I would say, the Nexus isn't the real problem, though I still have to find anything making me smile. It's the Tempest, where you spend most of your time and the inexplicable roleback from your companions developping some sort of life by getting together in different places, to be replaced by them standing around and shouting at each other over the intercom. Most of all it's them not rising up to the interesting qualities DAI provided or ME3.

Common consensus amongst people on the internet and not this forum is that MEA should have never existed. Common consensus among people on the internet is that Donald Trump is the worst President in US history and BvS sucked and yet he still won and BvS still made a shit ton of money, so pardon me if I don't put much stock in that load of bullshit. What is your fucking point? Do you even have one? Other than that sequels and spin-offs have to be same to original. That is 100% BULLSHIT. Star Trek: The Next Generation doesn't have much in common with the original series and frequently had "poor" (which is a matter of personal taste something you fail to understand) writing, retcons, and themes and is arguable the most successful of Star Trek TV shows in terms of it's continued popularity and it's being aired in reruns on cable networks and it's the longest running of the shows (and for the record IMHO the best of the Star Trek TV shows is Star Trek: Deep Space Nine). If we won't get a new Mass Effect game is because of mean-spirited hate filled trolls like you! It was the PCMR/Hardcore gamer trolls like YOU, Dutch that condemned the game even before playing it (something you claimed to have done but somehow I'm really starting to doubt that you even played it) because it wasn't what YOU, Dutch wanted and wasn't being marketed towards YOU, Dutch. All YOU Dutch ever did on the old BSN Prime and here do is whine, whine, and whine some more: "Make it more like TW3, MGS5, or whatever game that had an old white straight white man!" All so YOU Dutch could feel like big an alpha male instead of the sad little beta male that YOU Dutch really are.

Or after the credits to MEA, Shepard is seen being pulled from the rubble saying to herself, "What the heck kind of dream was that?" Only to hear Harbingers voice inside his head...."Human, we are now one. I can alter your very physiology. The temperature outside is within acceptable parameters...."

This is what happens when you name a grumpy barmaid "Dutch". Should have named him Zip, all I got was a rembot named Zap and then they included his interactive twin and named him Poc instead of Zip.
Useless, as PeeBee would say.
I feel like this whole game was made to troll us and more specifically me for choosing synthesis.

Great idea. The only thing I would change is that they could never recover Shep's body, so Shep had to be recreated from a old school photo. They took the organic material necessary from the Ryder's because they were useless and expendable..
