I'm actually basking in the glow of the things I like better about MEA:MP at the moment.
Perhaps all the things we had to put up with as ME3 MP PS 3 players inoculated me, but I'm liking it, flaws aside.

I'm a bit salty about the dilution. Going to wait for new characters that are interesting. The gun(save a few) never really drew me into the game and I already played the ones I did like to death. I heard about dlc on the 10th. Dis truth?

If they get at least retro creative and bring some flavor to the game. Reave Biotic sphere Dark Channel Cluster greanades..... Smash Stasis Dark Sphere Supply Pylon Submission net Blade Armor Hex Shield... Along with a character that is actually different than the rest, ( they all feel the same really) the game might be saved.... Doubt it though, EA is running things member.

Doubt it though, EA is running things member. IIRC they were running things when ME3 was live. Not sure if anything changed in the meantime... EA was running things back in ME2 days. Until Bioware was acquired by EA no Bioware game was available on Sony consoles. Playstation owers never got the chance to play ME1 until way after ME2 came out...ME2 came with some interactive comic and you got to pick a few choices from the first game, but still missed out on some content certain choices from the first game would provide.

I know that, I was referring to the fact that EA was also around when ME3 was still the big thing and we got the exact same responses about them, though we all know how ME3 turned out in the end... Not trying to defend big corporations here, but they're often used to get the blame when things go awry, but never get credit when something's done right for a change.

It's fun, I wish character progression would be quicker, it sucks leveling up one kit for days. If you're up for some curry, then bring your cement mixer tonight and we can catch a few games if you like 😛 And maybe even make a vid. I don't have any leveled up characters on the xbone though, so your curry has to be really good lol.

Imho the N7 characters are already special. But regardless of how many characters or weapons are thrown in people tend to stick to a few (2-5?) only anyway. Normally the in comparison perceived overpowered ones. Meaning in reality most players are not looking for variety but for easy game play.

I still play the odd game but can say my interest and, as a direct result, my time spent on MEA has dropped significantly. I played tnrough the Campaign after I got bored with multiplayer and its ok ish.
Lack of new maps, character/power diversity, those 'S' weapons which feel a bit of a cheap excuse for introducing 'new' weapons, and a 'challenge' section which does not inspire me to even try different weapon types make the game difficult for me to enjoy..
Waiting for some new content, hoping for some good things but judging on how the game has been handled so far I'm not expecting too much..
Personally I've gone back to Bloodborne and Titanfall 2.
All people here post because they are passionate about the ME universe and I'm sure we all want to have a succesful multiplayer, the saltiness is purely a result of disappointment and frustration.

Since I heard about the S stuff diluting the pool further I lost any motivation to play. C'mon that's 50 cards equivalent to 25 premium packs or 2.5m credits max. In reality more likely ~2.0m credits. This you can pick up alongside/en passant. And the S versions do a good job in finishing the challenges for these weapons helping to quicker acquire the 140.000 points. Not really required in addition to the already available weapon pool but also not a big deal. Imho.

You know how long I take to unlock those fucking 50 cards? That about a fucking month. A fucking month to hopefully clear some useless RNG clutter to basically get to where I was before. I wouldn't bother if the game was actually more fun - but "gameplay is its own reward" isn't really the motto that strikes me with this MP.

If the goal is to max a manifest, then these new additions are just fodder separating you from consumables on your way to more URs. Consumables aren't as useful, so this doesn't bother me too much. The lack of originality on the other hand... That said, maxing my manifest in MEAMP may require more patience than I have to give. I'm usually a completionist, (maxed two ME3MP manifests, but ME3MP was significantly more fun.) but MEAMP may take years to max at this rate.

I can understand someone with a Hornet IV being a bit miffed though.

It's a big deal for people who haven't maxed rares yet. That much is plain to see. They are not exactly bad, but those new weapons could use some upscaling for sure. They'd also stand out more if they had slightly different performance characteristics. I'd love to see that new Predator get a 100% damage boost and a 60-70% ROF reduction. It looks slick as hell, but not enough to be worth the carpalling of my tunnels incurred using it on Gold.

I can however see it from the other side, and like I said before, I'd be fuming if I hadn't maxed my rares already.

And my rares are far from maxed. What would be a hell of a drop rate for ultra rares. And that was my experience, picking up these additional gold cards while still dropping ultra rares in same pack or an ultra rare instead of an rare. What sounds like a nice deal. I know though it's easier if everything else already is maxed out. But it doesn't take ages should you play regularly. I (repeating myself) like these long term incentives with cards and bonus values. But (not specifically addressed to urizen) look at it the other way. Let's assume the weapon pool would be restricted to the favorites only, e.g. Hurricane, Piranha, Dhan and a few others. People would complain about not being provided enough choice and variety. Or all weapons and characters being provided all at once from the very beginning only requiring character levelling. Despite of 29 characters and 54 weapons (currently) everybody would be running around with an Angara avenger equipped with Hurricane and Piranha (or any other viable top-notch combination)! Sounds boring.

It's 2017 and this product produces regular bluescreens.
It is, objectively speaking, terribly made.
It also deviates rather far from the source material on both context and tone, despite being made "in house".
Sales speak rather plainly for themselves.

Luckily my buddies pulled me up with a couple great games and I could ignore all of that.
