SO where in either of your quotes did you 2 prove me wrong, and not agree with what I said? Don't be a jackass. This is what you said: "If your getting BSOD at anytime during operation on PC. There is SOMETHING WRONG or needs updating with your PC. " That is false, as it is often a software issue, as it was often with that old PoS software, and as it is with Frostbite engine games in general it appears. We didn't need to prove anything, as your grandiose post adds up to a "The More You Know" PSA for after-school children. Re-read your post, and see how strong your ground is.

BSODs are usually caused by either hardware or drivers. If Andromeda exploits a driver bug than that may cause one.

Maybe you want to reread what he wrote. He never claimed that BSODs are exclusively triggered by hardware issues, infact, he mentioned drivers and services too. Interestingly enough though, my BSODs were infact all hardware related.

Huh.
You know, I get that threads sometimes go to weird places when you release them into the wild.
But I did not see "passive-agressive tech support" coming AT ALL.

We are full of surprises. Now if you´ll excuse me, I need to invent arguments to blame MEAMPs BSODs purely on the user.

Well, if in doubt, read the BSOD's crash dump, its error code will at least give you a rough idea of what actually went wrong.
That said, yes, I'm having fun with the multiplayer, because I have fun people to play it with regularly.

If we go full semantics on this, wouldn't that mean that the "the game" is the acting party in this case and "the driver" the passive one? I am not as much into Hardware as I used to be for years, but isn't safe to assume that most things are a matter of poor optimization? For example that PS4 error code.

I am not as much into Hardware as I used to be for years, but isn't safe to assume that most things are a matter of poor optimization? For example that PS4 error code. It's semantic insofar as it is functional to appropriately label things. If the game addresses a bug in - say -the graphics card driver, then it's up the the graphics card producer to fix it with a driver update. Yet if it's the game software causes some sort of exception, it would obviously be the game at fault. But, in my (PC) experience, there's only malware that does that kind of thing. It's extremely unlikely that a game from a producer like EA would cause blue screens. I'm not saying it's impossible, yet highly unlikely: most blue screen problems on pc are caused by kernel trouble, old/faulty hardware, overheating, RAM and - of course - device driver bugs. There may be a possibility it's the game but chances are you need a new computer. And, believe me, I've been there quite a few times in my life, so I can understand the emotions this may cause. I can't speak for consoles, of course, but since they're really just computers...

Might just be that MEA is pushing the boundaries of his system, because it is the most recent game he has. OTOH, a bud of mine regularly has memory issues with MEA, in that the memory usage spikes up to 6g from around 3g. Yet, that hasn´t led to crashes since 1.05. So on side you have a user with frequent bsods. On the other you have a guy with ram issues and yet nothing, not even a crash. :srs:

So on side you have a user with frequent bsods. On the other you have a guy with ram issues and yet nothing, not even a crash. :srs: In that situation its 100% accurate, as my tit grabbing wookie friend up above hasn't done a good job of comprehending, is because frostbite is a seriously over-stressing engine. (and as a result, people think its a bad engine because their PC problems and or their PCs can't run them.) I learned from wanting to play battlefield 4 at full specs my PC had issues, my brand new pc. Wasn't that frostbite was terrible, it was that my drivers were out of date and after an update, and change of a shytty mem stick, things were deliciously fun. Low system requirements will cause your game to crash if there is to much stress on your system, (or you'll have a beautiful 10 fps game) MEA just does a great job at being a bully to a PC even 2 years old. BSOD are a system crash due to there being errors in a systems operation. Be it indirectly (and always indirectly) from a game or not. Your buddy crashing (I assume the game and not BSOD) is the proper way a PC handles game software mismatches and stress. With the patch things got smoother. RAM maxing out will just cause serious slowdown or complete stop of the game. BSOD on the other hand is always a system error. Let your buddy with BSOD know he doesn't have to spend a single coin btw to fix his PC (unless its hardware) All the programs I use are free and malware free online.

Low requirements or overstress. lol lets not get carried away here and pretend bioware is fabulous. I'm definetly not siding with bioware with being a shytly programed game. Just was bringing to light that BSOD weren't caused by the game, only "triggered" by them. Forgive me but I gotta take your way of saying it, my english is terrible.

Re-read your post, and see how strong your ground is. we are getting closer... the namecalling is starting to take its root! Last time I checked, when someone has, and I quote " old PoS software" they are in need of an...... :dumb: ......? Thank you btw Urizen. For the woefully ignorant, PoS software = Point of Sale. Lol at the responses.... I take that back, LMFAO Edit: what is hilariouser than hilarious, is that you talk about how much stress the Frostbite engine puts on a machine. It isn't Furmark, and yet.... Systems that work well for all other applications randomly seem to have problems with the game. Sure, it could be the machine. It just isn't in this case. Backtrack and equivocate all you want. As for name calling, I didn't call you anything. I said, don't be a jackass. If you are a jackass, why would you be offended? And if you're not a jackass, don't act like one.

Can people just agree Frostbite is a piece of shit engine? This is first game I've played on it, but read/heard of people's disgust with it on other games. And by no means, am I getting into PC discussion because I have no point of reference being a lowly console serf. Yeah, this. ^ On the rare occasion that Bioware has said anything about CTD, crashes and sound bug, they have indicated that their hands are tied, because those are Frostbite problems. They don't talk about it much, so I can't find the specific quote I was thinking about, but I'm fairly sure the major problems are in the Frostbite camp, based on the host of similar issues with DAI, and other Frostbite games as well as what I believe they have said at one point or another about this class of problems.

We're talking computers & software here: however unclear problems may seem to us, they never appear 'randomly'. Computer problems happen for reasons. Why? Well, because electrons... Because? Serious, really: I'm genuinely interested how you think this is - simply - not so...

We're talking computers & software here: however unclear problems may seem to us, they never appear 'randomly'. Computer problems happen for reasons. Why? Well, because electrons... Yep, and we all know they stay put. Forever. Because? Serious, really: I'm genuinely interested how you think this is - simply - not so... Because xaijin who experiences them is a power user as per quiggles. A power user never experiences BSODs of his own doing or because there could be something wrong with his hardware. Impossibru.
