SAM vs. EDI

EDI all the way.
Because for VA, because of her body, because of her relationship with Joker and because i loved the way things go for us after that Moon accident till the very end.

The one who doesn't interrupt banter every 50 miliseconds to warn you about the weather wins, or would win in a world where justice existed. Character-wise though, I prefer SAM.

SAM, the discussions with her are more interesting and that character overall has more potential.

EDI in ME3 feelt kind of underwhelming. Her romance and wanting to become more human was out of the blue and made no sense to me.  I mean, if you want to be cynical that SL was only crafted for the Synthesis ending. Didn't feel good.

EDI was 250% less annoying than SAM.

EDI. Sam is annoying as hell.

Warning! EDI fanboy triggered! 

Whoa! This isn't even a fair contest. EDI is no longer an AI if you ask this humble fanboy. She evolved from an out of control VI and then had undergone more learning under Cerberus. That alone should be enough concern to hit the proverbial delete button. Then she cajoles or gains enough trust from the Normandy crew to allow her to assume control of Eva Core's body, who is supposedly EDI v2.0. Within that body she's interacting with everyone (off screen, of course) on the Normandy and taking in her surroundings on the Citadel. She went from being EDI to Eedie. Tricia Helfer and the writers behind EDI sold that character. Of course, EDI had two installments (three if you consider the VI on Luna) to flesh out her character. SAM, has its moments and is indispensable unlike EDI. You can't progress in Andromeda without SAM. EDI, to some extent (minus the heroics in some cutscenes) is not mission critical to move the story forward. SAM, however, feels like a suppository that for better or worse, is there.

Why is it that the AI which frequently jokes about killing all humans comes across as less sinister?

Wat. Definitely EDI, no contest. I loved in ME3 when she would ask Shepard questions about actually being alive and human. Those were some great times.

Then why didn't it do that to the crap 6 guys when they took the SR2?



For me, the edibot was better as a hologram then getting a platform. Throw the thing out the airlock.  It served no purpose in ME3 other than keeping the clown happy. It was alright in ME2.

The sam voice is annoying.

Oh EDI is capable, but it's because SAM does do it, it's more unnerving to some people.
