Close to? Don't understand. In terms of relationship. EDI is Shepard's AI buddy and SAM is Ryder's AI buddy. Well in that case I would still pick Legion. He is an AI and sort of has a honorable and respectful relationship with Commander Shepard... mine at least. If I could have it this way: nuke EDI, SAM, Starbaby and give me Legion. |

I kind of agree , but I guess it does kind of make sense with Ryder being such a rookie. The constant notifications of the bleeding obvious did raise a big question mark over how intelligent SAM was though  . The whole idea of an AI in your head is so messed up and could take the character to some really interesting places if Ryder's story is continued. I really loved ME2 EDI, and thought what they did with her in ME3 was pretty gross. |

SAM will be defeated cause his VA is sh... Heh. I only discovered recently that the VA is a woman. Not sure why they would tinker with her voice like that. @op: SAM wins it for me. AI in the head that can't kill you if hacked, since basically you're part of it, plus implants activated by it that grants you lots of abilities. There is also that scene in-game where SAM makes your heart stop for a bit Of course, it's not fair to compare one vs the other, since EDI is mostly for ship-to-ship combat, cracking Firewalls and helping Shepard on the mission with observations on the situation (at least ME2), while SAM is built mostly for ground combat and helping the Pathfinders. |
