AFTER YOU "GIT GUD" BUILD: Throw (Rank Rank 6): Rank 4 - Damage/Force, Rank 5 - Duration, Rank 6 - Double Throw Lance (Rank 6): Rank 4 - Damage/Force, Rank 5 - Focused Blast (Headshot), Rank 6 - Shield Powered Stealth Grid (Rank 1) Offensive Biotics (Rank 6): Rank 4 - Power Damage/Force, Rank 5 - Combo Damage/Radius, Rank 6 - Biotic Warrior Barrier (Rank 6): Rank 4 - Recuperative Barrier, Rank 5 - Barrier Drain, Rank 6 - Active Barrier
BEFORE YOU "GIT GUD"/LIFE IN SCRUBVILLE BUILD: Lance - At Rank 6 replace shield powered with knockdown Barrier - At Rank 6 replace active barrier with saving barrier
Weapon: Dhan w/ Barrel/Spare clip Equipment: Shock Trooper Upgrade (shot gun damage +1 power cell)
PLAY STYLE/TIPS:
1) Duration (Rank 5) of throw makes it a primer--->Double throw gives you 2 simultaneous primers----->Shield powered lance gives you 2 shots. Double detonate the two critters you just primed and blow everything sky high.
2) Stealth Grid at 1 point gives you all its utility. The damage buff lasts a single shot of your gun/single casting of your power/single melee attack. You don't have the extended duration benefit of combat cloak to rack up damage. With 1 point, it gets you outta jail, lets you revive fallen scrubville inhabitants, briefly boost damage for that headshot when you really needed it, etc. Very good use of 1 point. If you choose to spec it for 21 points!!!....well, it may not be the brightest decision you ever made.
3) Double detonation of throw/lance will catch a lotta things (with the combo damage/radius evolve) and kill em out right. Many armored and shielded enemies will get caught in the combo radius and get hammered as well. To replenish lance's shield cost, your recuperative barrier, active barrier (shield replenishment per kill) and barrier drain (shields per melee hit) will come in handy.
4) After you double detonate combos, it is assumed that you will melee as well as shoot your Dhan to finish things off ( if they didn't die in the combo explosion). This is why you chose "Biotic Warrior" i.e, gun damage boost and melee boost for 3 secs. Throw in a couple of dhan shots if there isn't anything shooting you from behind. If you're getting shot at, melee a few times to accelerate shield replenishment. Another scenario where biotic warrior works, you may stagger a armored beserker with throw or hit him with lance, which will boost your gun damage (for 3 secs). Throw a few Dhan shots in and finish him off.
5) Don't be scared to shoot the Dhan right next to something's face. Just take a deep breath and go right in/get real close. If you're getting violated, melee and get shields. If you're still getting violated, you always have your stealthgrid.
6) If you're a scrub, shield powered lance will kill you quickly. Pick knockdown lance and saving barrier (as indicated above), so that you refrain from being a deadweight to your struggling squad (For the love of God). You won't be doing fancy detonations, but, you'll stay alive and that's a good thing.
Good Luck & God Bless
EDIT: THIS BUILD/PLAYSTYLE IS OPTIMIZED FOR PC CONTROLS (FOLKS WHO PLAY ON PC). IF YOU'RE STUCK WITH A CONSOLE/JOYPAD, GET SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

Funny you posted this because I've literally just respec'd her to try out the combo build again, and I'm about to try it out. I was dissatisfied with this the last time I tried it and tbh, I've been dissatisfied with everything about her and need to find a way to make her less boring. Maybe it's just because I'm on console, but the unpredictable nature of the Throw physics makes it difficult to detonate stuff.
The only difference with your build is I went with 3 ranks in Stealth Grid, rather than Biotic Warrior.
Edit - Doh!!!! Forgot we have Shocktrooper gear now. Back to 1 point in Stealth Grid.

the problem with using throw as a primer is that it ragdolls enemies. sometimes they'll get ragdolled a short distance, and you only have to make a minor aim adjustment to detonate. most of the time, they'll get ragdolled out of your FOV so you'll have to actually turn and adjust to detonate with lance.
did you actually test using double throw and detonating 2x with lance reliably? because i feel like that's one of those things that looks good on paper, but in practice is really dumb. i imagine half the time you throw 2 enemies, you'll spend the next 5-6 seconds chasing one of them to lance, and then spinning around looking for the other one.
wouldn't it make more sense to just ammo prime, and use throw and lance as separate detonators?

My only experience with Lance is with the Asari Adept, but based on that experience, I would have a really hard time ever detonating a second throw. In particular, my accuracy with it is very poor at anything but short range.
I suspect it will be quite a while before I'd be able to pull off something like this. I definitely like that you've shown a way to capitalize on the double-throw on a combo-based character, but I'd be more effective with the refresh speed and combo bonus, I think.

I have always played the huntress with this build. I think its a better synergized high dps kit (throw + shield powered lance + biotic warrior + barrier) in comparison to a few other kits ( Should be very platinum friendly because of the get outta jail stealth grid) I play on PC/keyboard/razer naga mouse, etc (plenty of customizable goodies). So, I guess the playstyles i'm describing for different kits are better optimized for pc. As i understand, aiming/targetting is considerably harder on consoles/joypads (this might pose a problem with reaction times for double targeting, perhaps). Throw priming becomes much more predictable when they hit a wall. They bounce and hang around nice n easy for a bit. If all fails, a single detonation is better than none. P.S Look up things out there that will let you connect a keyboard/mouse to consoles.

I do not care for ammo dependent builds. Throw/lance and throw/charge are the HIGHEST DAMAGE biotic combos. This build is better optimized for PC controls (not console/joypad) and requires more practice (works well after you 'git gud'). Look up my response to Kenny Bania. In any case, you don't just cast throw randomly!! you should try to direct critters into a wall to get the damage from world collision as well. They'll hang around nice and easy after they hit a wall. Practice the double detonation on a lower difficulty level on different maps if you need to. If they don't hit a wall, they better be flown clear off the map into a ditch.

Guys, guys, guys,
1) MASS EFFECT MP IS NOT MORTAL KOMBAT X
2) For MKX you need a joypad and you need a keyboard/mouse for ME3MP or MEAMP. All the platinum hardened souls i know from ME3MP will freak out if you hand them a joypad.
3) Use the right control options for the game you're playing.

Throw Rank 5 a primer? Is this a new thing? I have played with Throw for just a little, I don't think I've ever gone past Rank 3 there.
Now I imagine that if Throw primes, it only does against mooks affected by it - In other words, unshielded mooks. These combos are quite limited.
Besides that, wouldn't the Human Kineticist be a better kit for the same role, since she was Cooldown-less Throw + Lance and Pull on top of that? Not a criticism of your build per se. The Huntress is the issue here, since she simply is the most redundant kit in the game.

So how long is the primed window once you take throw 400% evo ? Base primer is .5 seconds, 400% is 2 seconds. @op, kinda lolling at people making detailed build guides when they don't know the actual mechanics of the powers. Throw is a primer at rank 1 friendo.

You have been awakened from your slumber. 2) Plenty of unshielded/unarmored enemies around. Combo Damage shreds shielded enemies caught within the combo radius. You have a Dhan! One shot to the face and shields are history. Or 1 lance shot to shred shields, biotic warrior enhanced Dhan shot, melee, throw, second lance shot to light up, etc, etc, or do some other routine entirely. There are so many different ways to cook dinner man. Use your imagination a bit. 3) I have not played the kineticist very much. Tinkered with her for an hour when i first got her. This strategy should work for her. But, she does NOT have the get outta jail card if things go down-hill, the "stealth grid". All it takes is one adhi bite to lose the "hard earned" acension. My intuitive sense tells me that the kineticist's death rate will be sky high in comparison to the huntress. The huntress has a incredible survival rate and can be extremely useful to revive fallen squadmates (capable of offering way more squad support). The huntress is very platinum worthy, i am afraid the kineticist is not. 4) (facepalm) The huntress is ABSOLUTELY NOT the most redundant kit. She is a top tier platinum worthy fun kit if you know how to use her.

My concerns are:
1. For 99% of the time, one of the Double Throw projectiles will ignore any target and head back to the Milky Way.
2. Enemies affected by Throw usually fly high, make the combos of little use (since other enemies are hardly caught in explosions/thrown enemies fall off the map and die anyway).
3. Why Biotic Warrior?

The Throw/Energy Drain double combo is much more tricky with timing and distance.

But, i know you can do a double detonation with your rank 1 primer (LOLO LALA LOLOLOLOL LALAOLOL) YOU CAN DO IT!

She is a S-tier platinum worthy fun kit if you know how to use her. Any level 1 kit with the Dhan is powerful enough to roflstomp Gold. Putting the Dhan on a kit doesn't tell much about a build. Besides, if you want combos and maximize their efficiency why not just use a fast-firing gun (like the PAW) and an Ammo booster to get a combo per cast of Throw/Lance virtually against anything rather than having to connect both to get a combo against limited enemies? While I think the Kineticist is together with the Huntress one of the weakest kits in game, she has significantly more combo potential even if you forego Ascension Mode. And while I am far from being skilled with her, I have seeing players surviving entire matches with her and keep Ascension on for quite long periods. As for 'Platinum worthy' seal of approval, there is no Platinum in this game yet. All we can conclude is the way they perform on Gold, and the Huntress is neither phenomenal as a combo caster nor as a weapon platform. Also, she shares her bread and butter (Throw+Lance) with two other (better) kits.

Besides, if you want combos and maximize their efficiency why not just use a fast-firing gun (like the PAW) and an Ammo booster to get a combo per cast of Throw/Lance virtually against anything rather than having to connect both to get a combo against limited enemies? Oh, this one I can answer: Style points. Double-throw-launching two targets and detonating them both with lance? Doing that consistently is worth style points. But it definitely can't be done in Platinum, which was why I asked about it.

1) Priming throw from Rank 5 has always been around. The Kineticist is definitely far superior for this. Far, far superior. It's how I play her. This is exactly the reason she's the most redundant kit. She does literally nothing better than anyone else. The kineticist would appear to have more swag, but, let's take a look at it again. If you maxed throw, lance, acension and barrier on a kineticist, a single point pull would be close to useless. But a single point stealth grid has waayyyyy more utility for the huntress and squad. I can assure you, i won't be seeing many kineticists on platinum. But i'll be seeing many huntresses on platinum. Again, its so easy to lose your "hard earned" acension. I find the offensive biotics tree to be superior to the acension tree (because acension is so easy to loose). In fact, i bet no one will be ascending on platinum with her. A character that's too squishy for platinum is not a superior character in my books. Enjoy her on gold and silver.

You don't need to max Lance on the Kineticist, and you definitely don't need any more than 1 in Throw. You max Max Pull, or take it to 5 at least for radius and 30% exposure. You can also already spam it because of Ascension. It's really not a contest. It's also easy to lose your Ascension if you don't know what you're doing.Even then, it only requires 3 kills to get it back, which is easy.
