The only DLC I really want is one in which Ryder works with sibling to find a cure for Mama Ryder and wakes her up. I have yet to finish the game (still...I swear I'm trying) but my understanding after discovering "Elizabeth Reilly" is that this matter is left hanging at the end of the main game. It seems perfect for a DLC. Exactly there are just too many loose ends imo for them to leave the game as is what with Rydre's mum the Benefactor and the quarian Ark. I suspect we'll get DLC's linked to them it's just a matter of when.

Indeed that's how the cycle works yeah And when DA4 is officially announced everybody and their brother will say it sucks right at the start and that DA:I is an under-rated masterpiece and that no matter what DA4 will be inferior to it and the same will happen when ME:A2 and Anthem 2 is officially announced. Does anyone else ever get the impression that back in ME 3 when the prothean VI on Thessia was referring to how all the cycles in galactic history repeated the same patterns cycle after cycle that bioware was referring to their own forums?

Basically what the title says. I want to obtain next story. I place no specific requirements to what it should be save for staying true to space saga genre, customized protagonist and a team of companions set-up. don't forget the dialogue wheel.

I am good with the drop-down menu as well. I am not wed to dialogue wheel and protagonist voice. It is a nice to have, but an alternative with limited voicing has its upsides as well, such as voice-sets (including custom made), the emphasis on voicing important lines only, potential for more choices, and your character name actually showing up in the dialogue. And less British voices.

It is very useful in making dialogues flow better, give PC personality that extends past the "please, tell me more about yourself, glorious NPC", and when it works, it does wonders. But when you don't like the PC's voice, it's immersion breaking. SWTOR is an incredible game in that respect. Some matches are made in heaven, some are hellishly bad.
Personally, I pretty much can't manage without creating a face, but voice is a "nice to have", and well, I usually turn off music in most games, because it gives me headaches.

Safe bet that the wheel is here to stay for all of these games.

Yeah that's how it goes. I still remember when DAI ended and Trespasser was the last DLC. It left off with hints we'd be going to Tevinter, and suddenly BW went silent. Said no DA4 was green-lit and then the old forums started making threads about how DAI ruined the franchise and the series was over. I told people that MEA was the next focus, so that's why you won't hear anything about DA4 for sometime. Now that MEA is out and completed (minus a few DLC), Anthem is the new focus. Once Anthem is done, DA4 will be the new focus, etc... Indeed that's how the cycle works yeah

The only time I thought it wasn't so great was in FO4, because they suddenly significantly limited the range of responses. It was a similar problem to me as with Ryder, though less extreme (you can't be "renegade" in that game either, not really).

Andromeda didn't have sexual humor. Unless you count that bit with Cora and the light malfunction. But then you wouldn't have gotten that far if you only played ten hours.

I like voiced protags and prefer them. The only time I thought it wasn't so great was in FO4, because they suddenly significantly limited the range of responses. It was a similar problem to me as with Ryder, though less extreme (you can't be "renegade" in that game either, not really). fine i guess i don't know about renegade but my bro Ryder is probably the most actively ruthless protagonists I've ever played. I'm mostly just talking about dialogue options to create a less sympathetic character. But also certain quest paths for the NV Courier have you joining up with psychopathic slavers who crucify people (I guess you can join the fascist Initiative in FO4 but it's not quite as shockingly deviant/depraved). and a Renegade Shep basically encourages her crew to murder everyone on their loyalty quests, or just does it herself. I don't think that MEA offers those kinds of options. Not that it has to. What was ruthless about your Ryder?
