. My Shepard sides with the Moshae because the sacrifice is necessary and my Ryder instinctively believes this, too, but saves the Angara because she can't bring herself to betray her friend. Tbh I don't think any kind of character should side with her. For all her waffle about not wanting her fame and prestige, she seems to happy to use it push her personal pet point at the cost of dozens of angaran resistance fighters. I told her to go stuff it.

Hmm, I think my M!Ryder will actually shoot faster than Shepard. He's younger, and values life far less. I think my Paragon Shepard is my canon, but my scoundrel Ryder is my canon over the good girl one. I think I see my sisRyder as a Shepard in training. She's young and hasn't seen a lot yet so she's a little green and naive. She acts more impulsively.. My Ryder punches the reporter (if she could have) and my Shepard uses the Intimidate. My Shepard sides with the Moshae because the sacrifice is necessary and my Ryder instinctively believes this, too, but saves the Angara because she can't bring herself to betray her friend. They both save the rachni queen and shoot Kalinda. They are similarly talented with a snjper rifle but my Shepard is smarter/seasoned on the field and definitely wins when Ryder makes a rookie mistake. But I think both my canon Shep and Ryder are middle/neutral characters who sometimes make the hard decision and other times the idealist ones, but neither would ever be on the side of Cerberus. (I gibbed this new Shep to be able to make any decision I want without penalty, and I like her much better than my other one... for ex, when you get back from Tali's mission Paragon Shep is way too nice. They waited 3 hours! The Intimidate is way more satisfying: "Go get your ship!") I usually give my characters an ideology that defines their actions, no matter the cost. I played as idealistic characters espousing the Council or AI values, and I played human hardliners that are Cerberus material. My next Andromeda char will be an extreme human-centric one, so won't recover other arks or align with Krogans. Main character creation is absolutely the draw of these games, and you see why when people start discussing in details what happened when they faced with this or that quest in the game. It's awesome, and I think everyone wants more of this, even folks that felt that A1 did not deliver it to the same degree as MET did.

Yeah but if you just leave you don't even sabotage the operation at all. They can just put a new Commandant in there, clean out the dead, and kidnap more angara to start it all over again lickity split. Not that I don't see why saving them is also a good idea for different reasons.

I did shoot the head honcho of the facility in the back though.

Yeah, it's too bad they only resolved one plot line and left about 5 cliffhangers in the game that will likely never be resolved.

I would love some story DLC, I have no idea how likely that is at this point of course, but I'd be on board. I also really want me:a to still focus on Ryder and (at least most of) the crew, just because obviously their story isn't done, but also I just think it would be interesting to see Ryder really grow (into their role/ mature more). Though that's probably even more unlikely now, considering all the backlash.
