It's Cryo Soldier: BuildBasically you prime targets with Cryo ammo and use Concshot to abuse it's 100% damage to frozen enemies and it's ultra-fast cooldown. Loadout can vary.

I don't really like the Falcon, is there any good alternatives I could use. Falcon primes and staggers extra reliably, it's light, has decent ammo in clip, but you can use almost any weapon, provided it's light enough. Or you can use a secondary like a Collector SMG or a Hurricane next to Falcon.

Easy. Instead of weapons, you deal all the damage through Concussive Shot. It actually works, but it can be quite tricky on Platinum. The CC build can be specced in many ways, you'll hear many opinions, all of them are good. Here's my line of thought with the HSol: I NEVER, EVER, ever spec out of Adrenaline Rush. Period. Choose Hardening, because you'll be getting a lot more exposure, always Short Duration and the Shields evolution. This will keep you in the game if you accidentally get shot by DOT missiles. Use Rush to cancel the bees out. Never leave your house without your keys and your Frags. In this particular build, I like to stack the Dot so I go for Bleed damage. Armor or Shields, it up to you. Both really useful. For the Concussive shot I choose Damage (though Radius has to be paired with the "Hammer" evo for maximum effective zone), and Shredder will get you a pretty fine DOT vs Organics. Always remember to specc into "Shatter". The idea is to equip Disruptor or Cryo, and with a light rapid fire weapon spread the ammo effect to your enemies. Then quickly spam CC. Throw a Frag to add more Dot to the party. Disruptor guarantees a million Tech Bursts, while Cryo doubles the damage of Concussive Shot (Shatter). I'm in fond of Incendiary rounds for CC. Here's an example: buildTurians are also welcome. Give it a try with friends, it's super fun.

I say that Scrubbed's build is the most well-rounded one and less suicidal than mine. So go with that. But maybe don't use Avenger

I love Concussive shot. Though i am bad cuz i spam it, and go for incendiary rounds because I like explosions, and pinging mooks about comedy-fashion never gets old. It's as much fun as Throw.

I'd probably take the Shield Damage Evo on Grenades, so I could throw them into the spawn and take out shields and start DoT right away, plus it will leave unshielded mooks ready to freeze with the Cryo Ammo.
Damage vs Bosses does seem to be lacking on Cryo Soldier though. Is it right to take like a Hurricane and just use AR on Banshees and such? Since the Cryo Ammo weakens Armor anyway, I'd just use a damage barrel.

If you're using the Falcon, which btw I agree is excellent with elemental ammo, then probably 5a in passives would be better?

Acolyte is the way to go for a cryo soldier build. It's light so you can spam Concussive shot as much as possible (the damages stack), put a power amplifier on for a ridiculous damage on organics and lastly because this weapon apply ammo and strip mooks' shields in one shot (so you can immediatly put them on the ground with a followed CS). Take possibly a Hurricane alongside for Atlases if you play Cerberus (but fight Reapers or Collectors if you want to appreciate it at its full potential).
Video of a gold solo here (build at the beginning) :

It also works well with Lancer, Revenant or Incisor (less so, but it is a chance to use that weapon once in a while) if you don't fancy switching between weapons (which I don't). EDIT: Just throwing my Build in here, too, even though it already resides in the AR-Thread. Concussive Shot HSol w. Lancer

So I was reading the Adrenaline Rush thread and saw someone mention the concussive shot build, and thought I'd give it a go. Anyone got any video guides or Kalence builds that I could try? Thanks in advance, unless nobody bothers to help for some reason. Cryo IV. I know you and just about every ME3 vet has a ton of em. Use a gun that is either high damage or high stagger. Or both. Be sure to take the Freeze damage and power damage and Shredder bonuses for passive and Concussive Shot. CS whenever you get the opportunity to do so. It is your binary damage with the gun as the other half. Use grenades for groups and bosses. You can quickly rolls once CS has been cast for a semi strafing method. Useful against phantoms. Remember, CS has a damage bonus vs barriers. It's one of the fastest recharging powers in the game. Take advantage of it. You don't always have to roll with +200%. Another good option especially when going against geth, is to use Disruptor ammo. Tech Bursts galore. Incendiary ammo is good on this as well. Those are the main bread and butter tips. It's far better and more beneficial one a Human Soldier than the Turian. HS is quicker and more agile, and not as good a weapons handler. Don't be afraid to go all in. As a HS CS build you are a BULLY. Collectors, Cerberus sans atlases, and Reapers are your bitch. Good hunting.

Worst Build In the ThreadThat's my Cryo Soldier, also works with Disruptor and Incendiary Ammo. IMHO, Lancer is the best gun, no ammo requirement, easy to control once you learn how it behaves, good enough damage for the build, whilst being super light for CS spam. This is a free-roam build, that never runs to an ammo box for any reason, it just relentlessly applies pressure to the enemy. Good affinity for both disabling enemies, and destroying them. Being locked out of CS during AR is horrible, but AR can (and will) save you from DOT effects, and the damage bonus is pretty nice anyway, so you don't lose TOO much damage by using it. There are probably more effective builds in the thread, I just like the freedom that this one provides, my other HSol's are much different (BF3 runs Incendiary Harrier+Grenades+Carnage, the damage level is just silly, especially to Armour).

Hmm, I've tried that a few times, but I don't like a charge-up weapon on my cryosoldier. I go without AR so mobility is what keeps me alive, and that can screw with charge-ups when you end up dodging a lot. And then there is that little drop to step down after climbing the ramp on Vancouver... I think it was designed to piss off people with charge weapons. I go with the lancer most of the time for this build, though the adas isn't bad either.

I'm a little confused by the Shatter evolution of CS. It says it adds 100% damage to frozen targets, which, in my experience means that enemy needs to be, you know... frozen. As in, icy popsicle lying on the floor. At which point, those 100% extra damage is pretty pointless, since the guy is as good as dead anyway. So, does it work only against frozen targets, or those chilled as well? Incinerate specifies that it works against frozen or chilled targets, but I see no such specification in CS. Some clarification would be nice. If it works against chilled targets as well, I might actually deploy my male soldier. No way the female one will allow me to take Claymore away from her

I run 2 builds, mainly I go with AR + Nades on the fem Hsol and then I have my rarely played hipster build for the male Hsol with CS + Nades with Cryo IV.
