To be honest, how difficult can it be to release a statement saying, "Yes, we're working on single player DLC. No, we can't yet say when it will release." Surely such a statement would put many minds at ease at zero cost.

The problem with assuming difficulty and cost for a set of agreements that you have no awareness of is that you don't know what is and isn't possible. Having worked for employers with strict NDAs and equivalent policies before, I can entirely understand the situation they're in. Long story short, I doubt anyone enjoys listening to the internet screaming 'WHY YOU NO TELL ME INFO', if they're not saying anything, it's because they're not allowed. End of story. NDAs don't work on things like what a random guy on the internet thinks. |

BioWare devs are simply having discipline to not violate NDA, while why is there are decision to not say anything is a mystery to anyone outside of BioWare and EA. |
