Oh he's definitely a troll, the part I'm a bit perplexed by is why he's attaching the trolling to his own Twitter feed. I mean, that's just daft. If you're going to troll you do it behind anonymity like our man Jorgen Keller-Sinclair The Not-Austrian did. I dunno, this whole thing has been odd. Up until this evening I honestly thought the guy was a decent journo, if prone to a bit of sensationalism. Now he's coming across like a weirdo. I'm baffled as to why he would give a damn what a fan forum thinks of his article. Of course we're going to be skeptical and dismissive so why get all whingey about it on Twitter? Probably because of what just happened and how we sort of got 15 min of fame. Plus we tore SN down. Maybe he fears we'll do that with his article? |

He really seemed to have took it very personal for some reason... I'm not surprised he's taking it personally - his Reddit response to the original article's criticism was all the indication one would need to see that, for whatever reason, he's not ok with people questioning him. What I am surprised by is lurking on a forum and catching screenshots to post on Twitter. Thats.... well, let's just say that isn't normal behaviour. He's a journalist. His articles may cause a stir. You don't hide in a bush watching people read your article and take pictures. People questioned him over Destiny and ME:A troubled development story, yet he didn't said a word. Yet with his claim ME:A DLC line up is dead, all of the sudden he becomes super defensive. Now he is bothered people question him. Along with backtracking with "I don't know will DLC be made" and now "if BioWare makes drastic changes they might come". Almost as if he fucked up royally and is now trying to cover his ass, while causing online drama to get more clicks. Dude is pathetic, but he's just a symptom of the cancers called gaming press media and online media. |

Well, considering this is how they seem to get their 'sources', I might now actually defend the guy a wee bit wondering what if the haters sent him some stuff and he had no way to or did not try to verify it. Then he would be their fool just as much. They ask for leaks right there. That's provocation. On top of being about as low as you can sink, I'm pretty sure that provoking someone can lead to... issues of the legal kind, if the attempts are too severe.
Then again, if he knows how, he'll stay out of the way enough and I can enjoy watching him sink ever lower into the pitfall that is bad journalism.

For him to be this quick about taking screenshots of people criticizing him on bsn, I have the feeling that MAYBE he wants us to get upset, to harass and insult him so he could get publicity so he try to provoke us A journalist trolling a bunch of fans of a game on a game forum. I don't think there are words for this kind of behavior. If there are, professional is not one. It also begs the question ' who would actually trust this guy with information?' I wouldn't. He'd be the last person I'd call. And frankly, I more and more wonder why anyone would bother to leak this info. What do employees care if DLC is or is not made? Why would they even bother telling anyone given the legal ramification over doing so? There's simply zero logic in them to saying anything. That's a fair point. Initially I took him at face value when he was talking about his sources, largely down to his track record. With his current behaviour though, I don't get why anyone would hand him info, and only him. Whoever these sources are for whatever reason have chosen to break their NDAs just for him. |

I simply do not understand why someone would go to such lengths to potentially cause someone else harm. It is my firm belief that revenge is a lie. Revenge promises satisfaction, healing for the wounds. The truth of exacting revenge is facing the pain alone and empty. I truly feel sorry for "Sinclair".
