Hmm...shame. I was going suggest meeting at Intermezzo midtown to iron out our differences over an espresso. OG. Nice.

So will there be DLC or not? Jesus, how hard is this to communicate? It will only be communicated if there is one, close to it's release date. If there is none it will never be communicated. The only way you know for sure is when the company in question is selling season passes. That's corporate business 1.01. Not only in the gaming industry. I'm trying to remember how they broke the news that DA2's last DLC was cancelled. I know they were hinting at the DLC and then somehow there was the talk of it being cancelled. I'm not sure, but wasn't there a post made on the old BSN? I don't think that they would just be mum about it, but would probably try to keep it from being made into a big deal.

I don't think that they would just be mum about it, but would probably try to keep it from being made into a big deal. I'm sure they would. No news is good news in todays corporate environment. Better to keep anyone in suspense for another year at least. If they don't plan of releasing something, that is. Another few months an many people will have moved on anyway.

It was pretty easy to find anyway. It was about an expansion, not a DLC. And you have to keep in mind that DA2 already got it's DLCs. There's quite a difference between communicating that there won't be any and a possible expansion being cancelled. dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:Dragon_Age_2_expansion_canceled

Or at least part of the story was from what was the Exalted March expansion.

You know, sometimes I forget how awful the Mass Effect subreddit is until I go there. i just registered here yesterday to get away from it actually. almost nothing but endless circlejerking about how objectively bad the game is. if i see another "my main problem with andromeda" thread i'm gonna gouge my eyes out. and the thread discussing today's article... lol. anyone even remotely questioning the author is being downvoted into oblivion. because obviously since he broke a couple true stories before he can never be wrong and everything he says is gospel and no one can criticise news sources ever.

so do I have to read 50 plus pages to find out that it is official that there will be no MEA DLC? Has that been confirmed? Or has it been confirmed that the news that there is no MEA DLC is just a rumour, fake news.... I hope it is the latter as I cant wait for a DLC.

I love how we went from the good guys yesterday to toxic trash today lol We've almost always been labeled as toxic trash, sadly. That will likely never change, no matter the circumstances. I do have to say I'm highly disappointed to see one of our forum members essentially bullied away due to being made "infamous" via Kotaku writer tweets. Yes, it's a public forum so anyone can come see what we have to say, but to shine a spotlight on private individuals using one's public Twitter with a following like that is crass and low, in my personal opinion. You're welcome to screenshot my post and tweet it to your followers by the way, Jason. A BSN forum moderator says something negative about your behavior, that should get you some nice clicks. I'm not afraid, and I won't run. Go for it.

A case of "waste not, want not", I believe. I would have loved the expansion, I'm sure, but the DLC DA2 received was really good.

I guess I just don't understand hanging out in a place where you hate the game that much. Okay, fine, someone didn't like it. But then the thread after thread of really posts declaring, in unequivocal terms, just how this is the worst gaming experience pre-Pong, I just don't understand. It takes a lot of energy to be mad for that long, and I hope Bioware isn't reading those forums and believing that's the sum total of players' experiences.

And that's kind of funny. DA2 released to very mixed reviews with the biggest complaint being that maps were too often re-used. Personally, I didn't see it. Loved that game and still do, but it didn't have nearly the map diversity that MEA had. No where close. As for the story, well, we've disagreed about that before. And cordially as well, for which I thank you.

As a member of the public, I am entitled to view the behavior of journalists in podcasts based on my own standards. I did not react positively to that particular podcast and said I felt it was unprofessional. I still do. Anyone can probably dig it up for themselves and form their own opinions on it. That Jason saw fit to make fun of my statement on Twitter is also, IMO, unprofessional and that it is also drawing unprofessional comments from other gaming journalists reflects on their lack of professionalism as well. If they don't want their work assessed by random members of the public, I suggest they get out of publishing it.
