The ME:A 'Story DLC Cancelled' Sinclair Networks Facebook hoax

LOL I went to bed in the US West 7 pages in and came back to all this -- was wondering if some of you were up all night figuring this jankiness out. I don't understand why this hoax exists at all. I guess some people really don't like Mass Effect.

So who was behind the hoax?

I went to bed last night and the first thing I see is this craziness. I just read all 20 pages and wow, just. WOW! You BSN:CSI peeps have some legitimate investigative chops. I felt like I was watching Public Security Section 9 at work. That is probably one of the more elaborate hoaxes/trolling I've seen in a long time. What is the point at this time in the game? ME:A has already been released and the damage has been done. Unless this is former BW employee with an intense hatred of the company... wait...

It'll be interesting if Bioware will comment on this at all since it played out overnight in Canada.

While this hoax is clearly annoying I still stand by my point that BW itself is partly to blame for this. Had they dropped in previous weeks a single sentence like:
"Yes future SP DLC are in our plan"
or
"Sorry guys no SP DLC for MEA"

This idiotic things wouldn't have happened. Lack of clarity creates these situations.

yeah with all the teasing Bioware have been doing with their livestreams it was a bit strange for this to happen hopefully Bioware can clear this up one way or another as it won't do them any good  having this uncertainty hanging over them.

The OP is most likely involved.

Before that post, a new article came out where they mentioned devs were hinting at DLC in a recent Twitch stream. Said the devs said we'd get things resolved, but couldn't talk about future content.

Did they really say DLC? Maybe they were referring to a book or comic series.mBioWare has had a string of successes with those.
