Kotaku - Sources: Mass Effect: Andromeda Will Not Get Single-Player DLC

Sources claim that Jason wrote this article as payback, after his affair with lead writer Walters ended badly. When asked, Jason stated "Those vile rumours have no basis, i will keep fighting for transparency in private owned companies. Please make a donation by clicking the link below". Walters declined to comment.

Well, I can tell you that, in a lot of places, ME:A is not at full price.  You'll have to decide for yourself if you want to give it a second chance.  They have patched the eye animations and a lot of the other bugs (although the amount of bugs people encountered initially was quite variable among the different platforms). 

If it's really important to you for there to be DLC attached to the original game, then I'd wait awhile longer.  I'm OK with just the base game.  If DLC comes, I'll happily buy it; if not, it really doesn't make any difference... I'm still enjoying the game itself.

The reality is that you have nothing to lose by simply waiting to see what happens.  The game itself, most likely, won't suddenly get more expensive again.

The whole article basically says DLC isn't coming, but he then hedges everything to say Bioware could always change their mind.  So, it basically only says that we're all still waiting on Bioware to make an announcement.  Fake or not... it's just non-news.

If anything, they would have moved dlc duties to Austin. I don't think Austin is currently working on anything at the moment, though. Reasoning: Edmonton was responsible for ME3 and I dunno maybe prepare Montreal for eventually working on Andromeda, Montreal was primarily responsible for the Omega dlc.

Not just DLC. We are waiting on another patch that was promised.

The only ones talking are in Edmonton, so it just seems likely they are the ones left holding the bag (not intentionally though).

Lily I know how it works. I've been with you guys since January in the Jaal thread. I am simply trying to help others see reasonable reasons as to not panic over this shit article.

Patches usually come at the beginning of the month so I suspect we'll get a patch next week. What it'll include I don't know but I hope there's one or 2 nice SP things in there to play with
