Actually, topic and link ..... I'll just leave it here.I am aware, that it is Kotaku, but - two similar news in just couple of days ..... are already a tendency. And - still no official statements from Bioware (social media in general and Twitter in particular aren't official sources).

Neither of his recent articles on MEA were clickbait. His response over on reddit after is 1st MEA article was reasonable and included some prescient speculation that there would likely be no MEA SP DLC. Maybe I'm looking down the wrong rabbit holes but the few Schreiner/BSN links I've seen are pretty tame. Maybe you could point me to something he did that was trollworthy, but otherwise you just seem to be conflating him with some general 'bad-internet' notions. I don't have a dog in this fight. I don't spend my time super-wisely, obviously, but I do stop far short of having opinions about individual gaming bloggers. I was simply responding to the general proposition that trolling doesn't affect credibility. I have no idea what troll activities the previous poster was even referencing, let alone their severity. For what it's worth though, his speculation was only prescient if he's proven by time to be correct, so at this stage using that as proof of credibility is a bit circular. As someone pointed out yesterday, Inquisition's first DLC didn't drop until March '15, following its Nov '14 launch, and it ultimately received three sizable SP DLCs. It's a bit early to assume nothing's coming. True, but the devs weren't reassigned two weeks after launch. Making a dlc is a lot harder without people making it.

I thought when that one BioWare tweet carefully choose their wording of "DLC/Patches" was pretty clever. Like he actually was talking about DLC. "Ah yes, DLC. The immortal race of sentient content allegedly waiting in dark space. We have dismissed that claim."

The real problem are not the Kotakus of this world. They are only producing the shit (products more euphemistically) others are longing for satisfying (lower-order) needs.
The real problem are the countless vultures, sensationalists in their essence, giving them a compliant audience. Classic demand and supply.

Looks like DLC's back on the menu, boys Not yet. The teaser only confirms two elements for MP, which will probably be included in the next patch. That doesn't count as DLC to me. As to the how and why Batarians managed to get to Andromeda? Nothing has been made official on that part.

Would be glad to be mistaken, but - yet again - two similar news consequently and absense of Bioware's |EA's official position on this makes me think, that all these "fake news" are ... not that much of fake. People that think like you do is the reason fake news work.

Since he was right after all, I guess the cereal-dumping festivities are off, but I still don't care much for the guy's treatment of BSN and its members. Meanwhile, over on reddit, the MP forum is in full butt-kiss mode. Sigh.

HAHAHA, told you. Now let this game DIE, already.
BTW I've been playing The Division as a first timer. It's not too bad at all! Give it a shot if you want a game that's not being skeleton crewed by a dead studio, lol.

The reaction here to Schreier's articles was one of the reasons I decided to distance myself from this forum. God, some people can be so immature. It's funny to see how a few of them are still in denial even at this point. Then again, another lesson learnt about human nature, I guess. Btw, the Division was never a trash game as some people claimed, just not living up to the hype it got (but never deserved in the first place). I've written a detailed review on Steam, the main drawback is the empty open world and lack of content, but the devs were actively pushing new contents which overall made the game much more enjoyable, also, despite the netcode is not good (and aggravated by the potato Ubi servers), the game still offers a consistent online experience in general, at least its devs are not shouting "netcode does not exist!" and calling players conspirators.

Them being right on this doesn't mean they aren't still a bag of dicks. On another note, I guess it's good to know with certainty what we already knew but hoped it wasn't right. I will never be able to fully understand the gloating coming from some people, though. Despite Bioware's behaviour and many many many mistakes, I still root for them to succeed (and produce the good content we want) in the future. Here's to hoping that they will actually look back and learn from their mistakes, and get their shit together next time.

It's always weird to see a thread that I don't remember, but it turns out that I have posted in several times.
Well, anyway, score one for indifference, I suppose. It sucks for those who had hoped for resolution to some of the storylines, but I hope they place the blame squarely where it belongs (with bioWare) and not with who wrote what article or which people weren't upset enough by the article.

Here's to hoping that they will actually look back and learn from their mistakes, and get their shit together next time. I know. Still it's bad to dismiss something based on the source entirely, right? I don't agree with Jason's story 100% because somehow he blamed the overcomplexity of Frostbite engine for the failure of MEA. For real? The game literally copy-pasted 80% of its structure from DA: Inquisition, what was the real challenge in that? Yet that makes the reaction of some BSNers all the more ridiculous, because Jason obviously tried to evoke compassion towards the devs, not hate. Oh I mean, come on, we've all been in this boat for years, of course it's not gonna be the end of the day I'll be waiting to pick up DA4 just for the lulz. As for Anthem though I'll probably pass, for I have genuine fear that my headshots or whatever won't register =P

Kotaku still sucks ass, though. Them being right on this doesn't mean they aren't still a bag of dicks. ... Yes, more or less honest dicks. Aren't all honest people dicks? Is telling truth always about being a dick and lying is all about being nice and pleasant? But seriously, there was no way of knowing what would have happened with being 100% sure about it. So, they made a lucky guess at 95% probability. Earned some points for me, I'll probably hop there more frequently, twice a year instead of once every two years.
