He did come with launch DLC (like Shale) but it was a free (and I would consider an essential) download.

yeah thanks for clarifying it. the only dlc i played for the entire trilogy was citadel, so ive never met zaeed or kasumi =/

Shepard can't ask questions. Liara cries like a baby. And apparently she's more important to protect than the ME2 squadmate, who could be a LI, when the broker throws its desk.

It's too bad you really have to play the whole of Jacob's loyalty quest to really get "the feels". The ending gives pretty good exposition, though.
