Im following this thread since the beggining and it is cool to remember trilogy moments before N7 day. However, as someone whose only DLC played is Citadel, im kinda disappointed. Proportionally, more DLC's moments were chosed than within the regular trilogy, so the DLC's were more fun than the main story?? On the whole, I think the DLCs were good 'story value', particularly 'Shadow Broker', 'Overlord', 'Leviathan' and ' Citadel'. Day 46. A 'must have clip' (not DLC). Day 48. There were several clip choices as we head to the ending, but this one commemorates two things: - 'Marauder Shields', the 'hero' of the final minutes of Mass Effect. (See 'Know Your Meme' for history: knowyourmeme.com/memes/marauder-shields)
- The impact of the 'Extended Cut', as this was where the changes made in the Extended Cut DLC started to have an impact.

The beam run? hahahahahahaha. More like ME3's version of the suicide mission. What a joke. The best part is seeing Harbinger kill both squadmates if ems is low enough. Along comes the extended cut and enters the what-the-crap evac scene. Too bad Harbinger didn't fire at the Normandy. Now that would be a giant excellent.

Day 49.
Hard to ignore that final choice, it certainly aroused feelings ! This clip is of the most chosen option: Destroy, but it helpfully links to the other choices.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But I get the feeling that you don't like the ending/beam-run. You're half right. I'll get to the beam run in a moment. I like the ending. Destroy ending. The others.....I can't say anything good about the blue and green. What I didn't like about destroy is that Shepard walks towards the tube while shooting at it. Shepard has been in the military for over 10 years and would know the range of the pistol and just shoot the tube from a distance. So it makes no sense to get up close and personal when firing at the tube. I have also posted this in the things that don't make sense thread. The beam run. The beam run should never of happened. When Anderson comes up with the idea to destroy the destroyer, I wanted my Shepard to ask him why? Why not send a small team to sneak past the thing to the beam? Use all the ground forces to distract the thing long enough for Shepard to get to the beam. Even if they're able to deal with the destroyer, what's preventing the reapers to send another destroyer or destroyers? But that can't happen. Both Anderson and Shepard are needed on the Citadel for that touchy-feely scene. The beam run itself was bad. Everyone running while Harbinger kills them without anyone making any effort to get to cover even though cover was very limited. Along comes the what-the-crap evac scene. Why is the Normandy in front of the beam? We had to explain a way for the squadmates to show up on the unknown planet that the Normandy ends up on. Whatever. I can come up with a better explanation. What makes those two more important than the others running to the beam that can't be helped onto the Normandy? What makes it even worse, is Harbinger doesn't fire at the ship. He's fired at everything else, but decides not to fire at the Normandy? Whatever. A moment later, Harbinger fires at Shepard. Shepard survives. Wow. Maybe the fleets need to make their ships out of Shepard so they don't get destroyed. As Shepard gets up, Harbinger flies away and at the same time voices can be heard over the comms saying, our forces have been decimated. Retreat, regroup. At that point why didn't Anderson get on the comms and tell them to get to the beam because the reaper flew away? Did everyone go blind? Anderson did say at the fob there would be no stepping back, no retreat. Wait a minute. That can't happen. To have the touchy-feely scene, Anderson and Shepard were only needed. So no one else can be part of that scene.

Day 50.
Why is the last of the '50 feels' from the trilogy, not from the trilogy?
Because it's a link to last year's N7 Day Because it's a last opportunity for Shepard to 'sign off' Becuase it's a wonderful link to Mass Effect Andromeda. Because it has 'all the feels'
Fifty Feels to Mass Effect N7 Day: #50 (November 6th) This is Commander Shepard signing off

Yay! Great job SofaJockey! Thanks for putting all this together! I love how you linked the trilogy to ME:Andromeda with the last video! Using the N7 video hadn't occurred to me until Vall suggested it over a month ago: I know it's jumping forward quite a bit...but could last year's N7 day trailer be the last, the 50th feel? I don't know exactly why, but the feels are strong in that one (at least for me). She was quite right, as an ending to this series, it's perfect

SofaJockeyI'm surprised you didn't choose the touchy-feely scene between Anderson and Shepard. Didn't you post that you're posting popular feels? That scene I know was popular for a lot of folks. If I was to add a final feel, it would be Hacketts epilogue speech.

If I was to add a final feel, it would be Hacketts epilogue speech. Certainly considered it. As a clip it was a little problematic as to where you start and end. If we were picking a 'top 100' (and we'll come back to that another time) it would certainly be there. I know the 50 picks were inevitably not your 50 picks, but I hope many would have been in there.

So, mass effect in general was kind of a masterpiece. I mean, from a game design standpoint, no one had ever attempted something like Bioware tried to pull off. The fact that they did was going to lead to inevitable praise and inevitable criticism.

No one really expected that ME2 was going to import the amount of data that it did. Yet, it did. Bioware did something impressive again. They also had a team of people who clearly cared about the narrative of ME2 and did their utmost to make the events of that game feel as if they mattered. The main criticism of ME2 is that it's a largely unnecessary chapter in the ME franchise. Yet, as a character-based game it's incredibly involving and probably the height of the series. Every character-specific mission is technically unnecessary and yet feels necessary. What an excellent game.
