I could be wrong, but Spoils of the Avvar which was like you said, gear, clothes, and weapons.....launched simeoutantously on all platforms on June 9th 2015. People who got special editions got stuff on the day it launched. Thats not the point. My point was a response to another poster who said that "premier content" could mean anything other than story content which he was wrong. The ONLY DAI downloadable content that came out first on the Xbox One was Jaws of Hakkon....which was story DLC. All of the following DLCs (cosmetic and story) released simultaneously. So when it was said that the Xbox One (and PC) would get premier content first, it WAS the story DLC Jaws of Hakkon.

That's not being coy...pretty good usage of the word "coy" there, btw. Not bad. It's directly addressing BioWare announcing DLC prior to it being released. They still didn't discuss DLC at E3. You know what else is premier content? Downloadable's like gear, clothes and weapons, again all available to XB1 and PC before the PS4. But, hey. Grasp on to straws if you want. No one's stopping you, just don't expect to post tripe without some pushback. I could be wrong, but Spoils of the Avvar which was like you said, gear, clothes, and weapons.....launched simeoutantously on all platforms on June 9th 2015. Honestly, I don't remember. I'd have to dig it up. You could be right. But so was the last two DLC's. Descent and Trespasser also released on all platforms at the same time. Hakkon was an exclusive deal between EA and Microsoft, and they never gave out a clue to it prior to it's release. All of this mess in this forum right now? It was also going on in the DA:I forum back then, for the same reason. And suddenly, viola, DLC. Whatever, man. You seem like a decent enough dude, I just wish you'd stop behaving poorly toward the fans who want to believe there's going to be DLC.

For those who say that Bioware has never confirmed that new DLC is coming prior to the DLC launch and that it is standard practice for them to just not say anything and then surprise us with an announcement a week or so before launch of a new DLC, well, that isn't 100% accurate. In May of 2015 when asked on twitter regarding the future of DAI and if more story DLC is coming, Mike Laidlaw replied with this: "We're not quite done with story content for DAI just yet"
He proved to be right as in August of that year, The Descent was released and in the following month, Trespasser was released. He even went on to answer another question regarding if the Warden would make an appearance and replied with: "I do not feel the HOF would work well as an NPC"Source-------------------------------- Now it must be noted that when this comment was made, the first story DLC, Jaws of Hakkon had already been released so I guess one can assume that since the first DLC was already released, that opened up Bioware to then openly confirm that new DLC is coming weeks/months in advance. However, it still does show that Bioware has in the past came out and assured fans that more post-launch story content is indeed coming. You seem to be getting desperate, my man. Did the release of Mass Effect: Annihilation freak you out that bad? Do you know when they announced the "Jaws of Hakkon" DLC? Just one day before it dropped. No hints. No clues. Nothing. They just dropped it on the market as a XB1 and PC exclusive with no previous announcement in the, what, 5 or 6 months prior to it. So you might want to find another example. We have another one coming out too: www.amazon.com/Mass-EffectTM-Andromeda-Initiation/dp/B0716X3ZNT?tag=viglink20248-20This is good news. Don't think they'd bother going forward with the books if MEA was 'dead'.

Yes, I can be annoying with my constant rambling about how no DLC is coming, but how is that behaving poorly? Have I ever personally attacked anyone? Have I ever said anything offensive to someone regarding race, gender, religion or any other area? I do not think so. Yes, I post a lot about dark cloud hanging over MEA but that does not mean I am behaving poorly towards fans, it just means that I share an unpopular opinion around here, but sense when does having an unpopular opinion equate to behaving poorly towards fans. I could have hijacked another thread that has nothing to do with DLC and talked about this but I decided to create my own thread ( which nobody said you or anyone else had to read or reply to) to discuss my finding that Bioware has indeed came out months before a DLC launch to confirm that more story content is on the way. So if I am so annoying, why even come here and post? Why not just ignore the thread completely and let it die down as nobody replies to it? Not talking to you, but to others who come here to complain about the thread, how is that different from me going to a "positive" MEA thread and complaining about the amount of optimism going on? Double standards?

Can I ask what the purpose of this thread is? Are you just annoyed that people may believe that there is coming a DLC? Probably... It seems some people cannot stand the idea that gamers are looking forward to something nice. They have to stamp it out, because if they don't like something, another is not allowed to do otherwise.

The only thing I've noticed with regard to EA and Bioware and additional content is that they've gotten more and more tight-lipped about it over the years. We knew about the expansion to Origins almost right away, and about the DLCs. We knew that there was a planned expansion to DA2, which they decided to pull in favor of a DLC. Then Inquisition came along and there was nothing until Jaws of Hakkon dropped. I mean, if you didn't like the game, that's fine. I don't understand why you're so invested in getting the rest of us to be on your side.

Holy crap, they announced the third book with cover art? Very nice. N.K. Jemisin is also a helluva writer. Wait, the description says FOUR books?! I only know of three books and one of 'em as already been released. I... assume that's a mistake? Titan Books makes no remark on them making a fourth book, here's the official statement: titanbooks.com/blog/announcing-official-mass-effect-novels/

That article is from June 9th, 2014. The game wasn't even released at that time. They at no time discussed upcoming DLC. Don't be coy, you know what is implied when it is said that a certain gaming platform will receive "premier content" first. That could be anything, And yes there were some of the things that were exclusive to microsoft that had nothing to do with story dlc like this content which could be "premier", after all they always have their "premium edition" for their preorder that have nothing this big : dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/NewEgg_Logitech_Promotional_DLCWhich was PC only, so only on a microsoft platform. So no that was not announcment of story dlc.

DAI didn't have 3 years of development erased/reworked. DAI had better reception. DAI won more awards. DAI developers weren't moved to other studio after game release. DAI still had all the old BW developers on the team.

DAI still had all the old BW developers on the team. Even when a game fail to turn into a profit, Ea still makes dlc about it. Look at kingdom's of amalur, it was not a profit but it still got 2 dlc, dragon age 2 had a terrible reception it got 2 dlc, alien colonial marines had an even worse reception that MEA and DA 2 combine and it still got tons of dlc. I have yet to find a huge EA game that did not had dlc, poor reception or not.

I ask again, please go back to my OP and highlight to me where I posted a rumor and I will gladly eat crow. The only person posting rumors right now is Jason Schreier with unnamed, unquoted sources. The only people trying to balance the arguments with facts are on this forum, and that includes people who think there won't be a DLC.
