They would. The books are coming out this year. By now, the authors will have finished writing them and will be well into the editing process. Money would have exchanged hands before Andromeda was even released. They're not going to cancel the books no matter what happens to the game. Especially not after hiring an actual notable and award-winning author like N.K. Jemisin. Plus, a lot of properties get books or comics to tell more stories after they're no longer being produced in the original medium.
