#SAVETHEQUARIANS - DLC Support Hub

As much as I like it when people speak for me and tell me why I do the things I do, none of that is an intellectually honest portrayal of any views I've seen on this forum. So let's take a step back.

Financials are important but we don't know the specifics. We have the shareholder meeting transcript which is largely positive but isn't the full picture. We don't know how well/poorly it sold and EA is unlikely to offer that data anytime soon. The reason there is a "movement" is for two reasons: 1. Schreier's reporting may be correct, but it's sketchy, and 2. if Schreier is correct, he also said that Bioware might change their minds. Why not use this as an opportunity to influence them? I'm a paying customer and will use real dollars to pay for more Mass Effect. That's my goal.

Customer-driven campaigns really can work, but you have the option to choose not to be part of it, instead of spending your time caring what other people are doing with their time.

Even If We don't get a dlc, We should use this opportunity to show your love and support for Bioware, the devs and the games

A polite show of support... i.e. telling Bioware that if they do decide to make a DLC, we are willing to buy it... is not starting a "social media riot."  Definition of riot FYI:  "a violent disturbance of the peace by a crowd."  It's the people who want to prevent people who happen to like ME:A from just letting Bioware know that they like it are the ones causing the disturbance here.  Their typical modus operandi for trying to squelch any positivism on this site has been through the use of blatant exaggeration... such as calling a clearly polite and peaceful show of support a "social media riot."

(Oh, I see now you say you were joking... well, it fell flat... shrug.)

Most of my jokes do seeing as how they are fundamentally awful.

Anyway, it's too damn early for me to be awake, so don't expect any of my posts to be on point.

As for the riot, I'll gladly hurl a brick through a window to get me some Quarians.

Well, that's certainly not what the #SavetheQuarians idea is about... at least as I first envisioned it.  I'm not even asking them to make a DLC... I've been saying that IF THEY DECIDE to make a DLC I will buy it.  They can add up the numbers and, if they feel, there are enough people interested that they can make a profit, then they may possibly decide to make it rather than not make it... but I, for one, will respect their decision either way.  I do believe that, as businessmen, if the Board of Directors of the company feel that there is interested  people willing to buy their product they are more likely to be able to foresee a profit in making it and are then more likely to go ahead and make that product.

My preference for the Comic Con in Montreal is that the question is never asked.... that they are not pressured to provide an answer until they willingly want to provide us with an answer.  Of course, I'm not the entire movement... but I would like to dissuade you from throwing any bricks at anyone... it's just not a good idea.
