Let's face it. Pressing the button to cloak is time that could have been spent pressing the trigger to shoot.

TC is OPoverrated, as is HM. Just dont spec them and acknowledge it I like playing the TI when I want to go the OP route. I usually use him to farm or start off a Plat warmup with Pugs. N00b...

What exactly is wrong with the Crusader by default? Is the shot fired, or just shown with a delay?

If memory serves right, shotguns actually fire their pellets in several stages, up to a maximum delay (.3 or .5 seconds or so ) after the trigger pull. Since the Crusader has only one pellet, that one is fired with the maximum delay possible.
Edit: Ninjad; listen to the Volus.

I can't hit stuff with the crusader even when hosting, though that probably has more to do with me being a lousy shot than anything else....

hosting or not hosting doesnt change shit. And in my book, firing with a delay of .2s is not the same as hitting where my crosshair was 0.2s ago second part was what i believed, but the delay makes more sense as KrrKs put it BUt crusader fix !!

Sure, it's playable, but not as good (obviously) So with the vanilla Crusader you have to rely more on stagger powers like Overload or Sabotage to keep enemies steady.

To me a delay is something like the Javelin does. It delays the shot for 0.25 seconds to charge it first. Crusader is something different. You're supposed to lead with it slightly, but no exactly like Kishock or Graal. It's messed up, that's all I know and I don't like it. Ksssshk. But the fixed one - headshot machine and armor pwnsauce.

As a lowly console pleb I don't aim for the head with the Crusader unless something is stunned. Although console delay isn't as bad as PC delay I tend to aim for left or right side of the body depending on which way the enemy is moving. If a Marauder is moving to its left I aim at its left side of the body and that's usually enough to get a hit in most cases off host. However, slim enemies like Phantoms or Nemeses are an absolute pain in the ass to hit, even on host, due to their small hit boxes and I'll just nuke them if I get annoyed enough.

I played on unfixed hosts with this weapon a bit and it's a headshot machine even this way. So I thought that offhosting can be actually good for practice with it. Give me an hour or two, I'll try to post a few gifs.

Everyone probably has his own answer for this question. Speaking for myself, I installed the fix out of curiosity and didn't notice any difference. But then again I didn't have any trouble with it before and wouldn't even know of any "delay" if I didn't see it being discussed.
Or perhaps the fix is just a placebo

Or perhaps the fix is just a placebo beware that if you installed it from my link, it used to be the original file and not the fix for a few years ! ( anyway, i never noticed the problem was not fixed with my unfixxed fix, so ... it has been fixed for a while now

Did a few things: 1) Played on-host with the default file. The weapon fires only after the button is held for a small but noticeable moment. Fire rate is low, dragshooting nigh impossible. 2) Played on-host with the fix. Much better. 3) Played off-host with the fix. Not as good as on-host with the fix, still better than without it. ^Off-host public game. Pretty sure some of those shots would not have landed if I had the default file. I'm not complaining about your fix Alfonsedode , quite the opposite: it works better than anticipated. The problem is that I can't say how much different off-hosting and on-hosting with the fix on my side is without knowing what happens and why – because it looks that something does indeed happen.

The problem is that I can't say how much different off-hosting and on-hosting with the fix on my side is without knowing what happens and why – because it looks that something does indeed happen We (me but thx to your checksums and patience) fixed the unfixed fix i linked in my thread, now it s the real fix ! (btw, i have nothing to do with the fix creation) It s supposed to be working perfectly, but as u know, nothing is perfect, and we all always (amazing) still find new stuff sometimes. For the missed shot with the fix, i m pretty sure it s the same with all guns, even more off host. i did test both files too on host at the fime of the checksum, and as i read it (in the thread), it s also more a delay to shoot. i m pretty sure capn233 and Mgamerz know and remember the details about how it doesnt work or is fixed
Your vid is private but anyway, the test could be easy on glacer geth silver or bronze, you camp on higher ground and wait not moving the crossair for a trooper to move laterally in front of it to shoot. THat would not explain why but how) Also, modmaker fix for the delay for all shotguns might explain the stuff too.
edit: THe mod from me3tweaks is also referring to this as a 0.1 firing delay for all shotgun that is mostly and only perceivable on the crusader of host...

To work off host, both sides, the host and the client must install the fix, otherwise it won't work.

Besides faster pew pew and faster reload times, does an increase in rate of fire also reduce the amount of time required to charge a charge-up weapon? For example, the graal requires 0.8s to be charged (If I remember correctly), but what happen if I use it on a GI, is it going to be charged in 0.68s (0.8 - 15%)?

IIRC charge up time is not affected by anything at all. So it will always be the ~1 second for the Graal.

Do I get invincibility frames for charging on Platinum? I don’t think there’s any connection between i-frames and difficulty. Of course if you are not the host, with lag everything is possible.
