Okay, this is going to be a really weird one, but I'll try nevertheless. Is fixing your Crusader delay considered to be a bannable offense? Yes, I know that the BAN button is no longer there, and people are basically allowed to do whatever they want with their games, but I play in a team of purists who have really negative opinions on cheating, hence my question. So, to word it better, if a player had applied this fix back in the day of those ban waves, would they have been banned? Would their team have been banned? Since I wasn't around at that time, and Google failed to provide me with an answer, I'd be happy to know what you think.

Is fixing your Crusader delay considered to be a bannable offense? I don't believe an official answer to that question would have ever existed. I'll put on my "pretending to be a dev" hat, and do my best NDA-restricted Bryan Johnson impersonation: "That would fall under the broad category of 'ToS violations.' As you are technically cracking the game, it is a bannable offense, but is not being actively banned (unless one were to go advertising it in an undeniable way in the official BioWare Forum.)" So, as you say, no banhammer, no official forum, so at this stage it's a forgone conclusion. But, I doubt anyone would have ever been banned for it, unless they were posting about it on the old BSN (as in "check out my game crack" or something) back when active support was still happening (and maybe not even then.)

Does Hand of Denial or its equivalents block turrets' attacks? Yes, as far as I know. Turrets are considered combat power damage, which is that weird category that doesn't always play by the same rules as the others, but in theory would be blocked similarly to tech/biotic powers.

nitrous : I'd be more worried about the file that allows you to use the console than the Crusader fix even though I think they'd both fall in the same category of "ToS violations" that were mentioned before. Like you said: at this point nobody really cares but if one of your buddies has a problem with it tell them it's called Crusader FIX for a reason. They won't even notice anyways I guess, but that's not the point of your question... I'd say when it comes to community consesus around these forums most people will agree it is not cheating - with a few players probably not agreeing... you know, the ones who also always start yet another discussion about how reload cancelling is cheating

But, I doubt anyone would have ever been banned for it, unless they were posting about it on the old BSN (as in "check out my game crack" or something) back when active support was still happening (and maybe not even then.) Thanks a lot for your answer - that's exactly what I was looking for. Not that I didn't expect it to be this way, because, when applying this, one does modify a part of their game which is related to Multiplayer content, so logically it should be a bannable offense. I'd be worried more about the file that allows you to use the console than the Crusader fix even though I think they'd both fall in the same category of "ToS violations" that were mentioned before. Like you said: at this point nobody really cares but if one of your bodies has a problem with it tell them it's called Crusader FIX for a reason. They won't even notice anyways I guess, but that's not the point of your question... I'd say when it comes to community consesus around these forums most people will agree it is not cheating - with a few players probably not agreeing... you know, the ones who also always start yet another discussion about how reload cancelling is cheating Yeah, I totally agree with you, because enabling the console technically allows one to do way more than just fixing that 0.2 second delay (which indeed helps you miss fewer shots, but doesn't make any radical changes or give you in-game items). As for the team I usually play with, though, they're a bit on the fence about this particular one, because on the one side, they agree that it was a mistake in the code that the devs should have corrected (thus it's called a FIX), but, on the other side, they say that the fix was created by a user and not Bioware, and wasn't initially a part of the game (this logic, however, leads to the thinking that Hydra camping is totally fine, because it is a part of the game). As for the console though, they are somewhat against it, but they know that I use it solely for chatting, so they're kind of OK with that - but again, only "kind of". As for RC, however funny it may be, one of them did say that it was cheating (the logic being that it was not how the game was intended to play), but later asked me how one could do that - I think because the benefits obviously outweigh everything else. P.S. I hope you're doing well on your road to recovery

Do multiple uses of TGI's cloak stack? I.e. can I get a +40% AR damage bonus or something?
How is AF's damage applied? I understand that there are some periodical ticks but how frequent they are and what decides when the first one is applied?
How does shield gate work when it comes to different damage multipliers against defenses? For example, let's assume that shield gate negation is 75% and I hit a Phantom with 3000 barriers with a hit that deals 3600 damage against barriers, but only 600 damage against health. What health damage will she suffer?
6A Throw is expected to do some additional damage "on impact". That is, only to one enemy, even if Radius is chosen?

What health damage will she suffer? 6A Throw is expected to do some additional damage "on impact". That is, only to one enemy, even if Radius is chosen? These are some decidedly un-confidant answers that I'm about to give! Do multiple uses of TGI's cloak stack? I'm pretty sure cloak never stacks with itself, but I don't use the TGI, so if there were to be something weird regarding their cloak I wouldn't know. How does shield gate work when it comes to different damage multipliers against defenses? For example, let's assume that shield gate negation is 75% and I hit a Phantom with 3000 barriers with a hit that deals 3600 damage against barriers, but only 600 damage against health. What health damage will she suffer? I'm probably out to lunch on this one, but I think the phenomenon of breaking "shield gate" on enemies (from what I remember) isn't done by multiplying against defenses, but rather by applying two different damage types with one attack, where the first damage type overcomes shield gate before the second damage type is applied. So I think if you were to shoot the Phantom you describe with a Black Widow that has Phasic, the Phasic bonus, if high enough, would blow out the shields before the projectile's damage is applied to health. But if you were to shoot it with an unmodified projectile, regardless of how high the damage was, I think shield gate would offer protection. But I am especially un-confidant about this answer. I would almost recommend assuming the opposite of what I said (but not really.) 6A Throw is expected to do some additional damage "on impact". That is, only to one enemy, even if Radius is chosen? I always assumed "on impact" meant that it added damage to the impact against secondary objects caused by the ragdoll (and could thus apply to more than one target if radius was taken and more than one target was ragdolled.) My assumptions weren't necessarily correct, tho'!

I would almost recommend assuming the opposite of what I said (but not really.) That's not how shield gate works. If you hit an enemy with a hit that finishes its shields/barrier off, only a percentage of the remaining damage bleeds off to its health/armor. On Gold, it's 25%. Certain types of damage (combos, melee, some weapons) ignore this effect.
OK, let me clarify: barrier_damage := damage the hit would deal against infinite barrier health_damage := damage the hit would deal against infinite health
barrier_left := barrier left on the target shield_gate_negation := percentage of the remaining damage shield gate absorbs What would be the damage to the target's health? (barrier_damage - barrier_left) * (1 - shield_gate_negation) or health_damage * (1 - barrier_left/barrier_damage) * (1 - shield_gate_negation) ?

(barrier_damage - barrier_left) * (1 - shield_gate_negation) or health_damage * (1 - barriers_left/barrier_damage) * (1 - shield_gate_negation) ?
Combining what you say here with what I saw described before, I think what I'm remembering is that if the initial damage type is calculated first (in my example the Phasic bonus) and overcomes the shields, the second damage type is applied without penalty. It came up once with Phasic versus Disruptor on Black Widow, and again with the KroLord and Elecrical Hammer. In the case of the BW, the Phasic gets applied first, but with the Krolord, the melee ignores shield gate and is applied first, while the "electrical" (fun name for fire) damage is applied after. Both attacks can OSK by getting around Shield Gate, but I think the multiplier against defenses only matters in the first case. So assuming that my brain has at least somewhat correctly recalled those conversations, multipliers against defenses matter most when they meet the threshold needed to completely remove shields, and are applied before a second damage type that is subsequently unaffected. Or not. Drunk baby memory and all that.

Ok, I did some tests The first formula is definitely incorrect; if it was correct, you could OSK a Bronze Nemezis with Acolyte. It doesn't prove anything about the second formula but I think it's the most probable one. Edit: this question has apparently been answered already: bsn.boards.net/thread/1812/numerical-thread-acolyte-ignores-corlist

4b and 6b evolutions of Shadow Strike -- do they affect all decloakings, or just decloakings as a result of SSing?

Those descriptions are misleading. Insert "striking a target with shadow strike" instead of "decloaking".
At least I'm pretty sure that i get the 6b speed bonus while still cloaked due to the bonus power evolution. And I don't get the bonus when simply breaking the normal cloak with firing or similar. ( I could be wrong, haven't played the shadow in about a year or so. But that is what i remember)

Did some tests and it looks like you're correct.
Measured running times on a long straight path.
"Raw": ~4,6s After decloaking manually: ~4,5s After SS without decloaking: ~3,9s After SS with decloaking: ~4,0 s
All measurements +- 0,1s.
+15% speed bonus over 4 seconds should give an additional 0,6s of time, which is exactly as measured. Hypothesis confirmed about 6b, I believe 4b works the same way.
Also, did some additional tests: headshot damage increasing bonuses don't affect decapitating melees. SAD.

The fuck is wrong with PPR? I started unironically using TS on Centurions just to squeeze any meaningful amount of DPS out of it, even with Marksman on and fully weapons-oriented lvl 6 quarian passive.

Damage or High Velocity Barrel? Damage Barrel + APIV ftw, also RoF on MM screws the PPR. It still has the same wind up time to hit full damage, but you're blowing through more ammo to get there. Honestly, it's probably one of the worst weapons to use with MM. I use it on the Glorious Fat TSent and QFE (occasionally) in gold, with APIII, and I've never had any issues with it's damage.

Yeah it's very meh at anything less than like V or VI, there's just not enough ammo. Make sure you take the Mag upgrade as the Heat Sink does nothing. Imo this or this is the ideal build for the PPR. I'd try to get as many headshots as possible as they do a ton of damage and stun, Atlases should melt in within one clip for either build. A tip is to start shooting it behind cover to get the low damage wind up done with by the time you're ready to target something.

Okay, I've been thinking about posting this for quite a while. As some of you who happened to stumble upon me might have noticed, I've been playing nothing but Javelin GI recently, and there are quite a few questions that have arisen during this time. 1) Does Javelin suffer from off-host issues ("I swear I got that perfect headshot, but the shot didn't even register")? 2) What are the best mods to use on this gun, does the AP distance of AP mods stack, and does the use of AP mods with AP/Drill ammo nerf my damage (and if so, is this true for both the regular AP mod and HVB)? 3) Is cheesing Platinum Phantoms on-host possible, and if so, what equipment is required for that? (By far, I'm sure that Jav X + Phasics III + SR Rail Amp III = OHK if not in bubble, but no OHK if the Phantom bubbles up). 4) What is the best Ammo? Phasic Ammo allows to OHK mooks, but Warp gives better damage output, and Disruptor gives stun and tech bursts. 5) If you could share some of your personal tips and tricks for this class, I'd be very, very grateful.

Either that or more bullets. U can reach 4 m penetration with no damage penalty. Ap distances stack, ap penatly is the one of the more favorable mod. If u take ap rounds, u still get that damage penalty, except for inhate piercing guns
