Not technically a noob question but I didn't want to make a new thread just for this, so I decided to simply put it here: I've gotten a little bored with my usual Volus Protector build 'cause it very much played like a squishy Krogan Battlemaster - so I decided to try out a melee damage version for the volus involving the Batarian Gauntlet. Do any of you fantastic people have a Gold-viable Batarian-Gauntlet-Melee-Build for the Volus Protector? Thanks in advance for any helpful input! Here's mine: kalence linkHere it is in action on Gold:

Does the Batarian Gauntlet allow for NutHateSurfing? Or is that a Scumbag exclusive?

n00b answer (instead of question)
If someone wants to take a screenshot from the game - you don't need FRAPS or anything else to do that. Just click RMB on your ME 3 shortcut -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Disable Desktop Composition. Aero feature (Vista, Win7, Win8 and 10) caused all the 'black screen' problems.
From now on you will be able to take an in-game screenshot by pressing PrtScr. Just remember to paste it somewhere afterwards. I've discovered it just today. I am a big noob.

Is there a drop limit on consumables? I know the 255 limit on gels, ops, rockets and thermal packs, but what about the amps and such? Do they also stop dropping after 255, or their number doesn't matter and you can still get them after 255, although they will go to waste?

You can go above 255 and can use those amps as long as you don't exit the multiplayer. When you start MP amps max out at 255. So plan a long night if you go rollicking few millions on amps

I believe Mgamerz said that while you're in the store, the game keeps track of amps and ammo up to 65025 each, even though you only get to keep 255.

I believe Mgamerz said that while you're in the store, the game keeps track of amps and ammo up to 65025 each, even though you only get to keep 255. So you can't max out the consumables, which means if you need a specific one, you are at the mercy of the RNG, even with the DLC deletion trick. Edit: you can max them out, but you have to throw WAY more credits without the cap.

You cannot promote until the character is maxed at 20. When you promote, you'll get N7 points, the character becomes level 1 again and all powers are reset. When a weapons reaches the next rank it becomes much mo betta.

You receive a bonus to your Galaxy thinggie in the SP. that class (all unlocked characters in this class) drops back to level 1, so you can relevel and rebuild it for free (as opposite to using a card that will keep you at level 20 but allows you to redistribute the points on a single character) All promotions also add up to eventually earn you an achievement and a banner, but it takes a lot of promos. Weapon becomes better as it levels up, it will go up to level 10. So are mods (level 5) and all other goodies. Once it is maxed out, you will not get repeat (wasted) updates for it. You will receive unlocks for other weapons/equipment/mods.

Thank you Bdaddy and domi,
I`ve got a level 10 assault rifle. When i bought 100k on credits on recruit packs. It is of the lowest rarity. Should i stick to this gun or play with my "rare" level 1 gets assault rifle. I`ve got no preference for both. Just like the one that is best at dealing damage. I have no clue what each level does for damage etc.

Thank you Bdaddy and domi, I`ve got a level 10 assault rifle. When i bought 100k on credits on recruit packs. It is of the lowest rarity. Should i stick to this gun or play with my "rare" level 1 gets assault rifle. I`ve got no preference for both. Just like the one that is best at dealing damage. I have no clue what each level does for damage etc. The normal buying strategy is: Buy all recruit packs until ALL your Tier 1 weapons are maxed out (by then you should move to Silver Games). Repeat with the next level packs, and then decide if you want to keep unlocking both the characters and weapons, or just want to advance weapons faster. In case you want to only advance weapons, start shopping for Arsenal Packs + Supply Packs. At this point it gets tricky while playing Silver Games, so kindda hard to progress from there unless you can manage gold. There are the bars you can compare when you look at the two weapons when switching them up. The level 1s are usually heavy, so they increase the CD's of your power-based characters. If it is lower than 150, usually it is better to stick to a lower level weapon that is maxed to level X. Also, higher level weapons most often have tricks to firing them, like ramp-up time, charging or aiming or "stop before you drain the charges" whatever. Which specific guns you are trying to chose between?

I have no clue what each level does for damage etc. You can use the ME3 Character Builder to set up your prefered character, weapon, mod and stuff to determine which combination is useful for you. You will see power cooldowns and damage stats. If you are more the number type of guy here is a List of weapon stats for every weapon in Multiplayer. It shows the damage values, wheight, clip size and other detailed stuff for every weapon lvl 1 and lvl 10.

At the moment i`m choosing between: M-96 Mattock level 2 Geth pulse rifle level 1 M-8 Avenger level 10 I would stick with Avenger for now. Mattock is by far harder to fire when it is low levels (but you can try it to see if you don't mind it), and GPR is rather heavy. If you do unlock Lancer, I would use that one on level 1, but watch out for draining the charge. EDIT: if you ever want to test a gun and see how you like it, you can always create a private lobby and play for a bit solo. You will have no shortage of baddies to shoot, and see how effective you are.

Mattock probably is going to be best off the top of my head by the numbers but you have to pull the trigger instead of it being automatic which probably makes the avenger a little more appealing. GPR is pretty decent at higher levels especially on a geth.

Y'all mind if I, uhm... necropost?
Do Stabilization Module consumables stack with the Stability Damper weapon mod? Do same-source debuffs stack if casted by different players? Do debuffs affect the damage spikes after one destroys a fragile point (e.g. Scion's sack)? In which way is exactly the Blade Armor bugged? Does Hand of Denial or its equivalents block turrets' attacks?

Without going into too much detail (or sources) Stability from different source stacks iirc. (Though Turian stability bonuses may fail of-host) Debuff stacking or not depends on the debuff in question: bsn.boards.net/thread/1803/numerical-thread-peddros-debuff-bonusesAFAIK they do affect the damage spikes, but I may be wrong about this, haven't played me3mp in a long time. The Blade Armor bug affects the 'Bonus damage returned' or whatever that evolution is called. Instead of scaling with the difficulty setting, the damage returned is reduced per difficulty setting. As for the Hand of Denial and some such; No Idea. I think it does block turret damage, at least rocket and flamer damage.

Can I get >+200% power recharge rate with Biotic Orbs on? I'm going from memory here, but as I recall you can go over 200% with the right setup. Maybe I need to break out one of my Volus kits and play around a little - just for memories sake.
