Mass Effect: Andromeda Patch 1.09 Notes (added MP & Combat updates)

Sorry lol don't mean to sound entitled I was just really looking forward to some more casual outfits at least since they promised cosmetic items. Maybe it'll come later.

Also, for folks wondering, the new Batarian Scrapper's description isn't anything major. Not-that-long story short, he and a fellow batarian provided evidence against a pirate leader, Alliance witness protection failed, and they fled the galaxy by tagging along on the salarian ark.

So a.) nothing about it invalidates the quarian ark and b.) we're almost certainly going to get a (the!) second batarian in Andromeda MP. Doesn't mean more won't show up, of course, but lore currently dictates that all of two batarians exist in the Andromeda galaxy.

Don't worry about it as so was I tbh. I wasn't suffering any of those glitches either but you never know we might get more later. Leas tI know I don't need to rush to download it as it dosen't have anything I particularly want or need. I'll just download it next time I boot the game up.

I think we all could use better, much better facial animations.

They went with a justification for having batarians appear that explicitly does not get in the way of any sort of DLC, because batarians aren't connected to any of the SP DLCs.

Here's what I figure: Quarians, drell, and volus are tied up in the Quarian Ark DLC, so batarians are a new race that can be added without getting tangled up in spoiling future DLCs. I'm betting the next APEX character added will be the second batarian, which—following the schedule of previous APEX arcs with three missions and a week in-between—would end around the end of August.

In fact, if they're going to release the Quarian Ark DLC around September 1st (to coincide with the release of the tie-in novel)...that weekend would be the start of a new APEX arc, and thus the perfect time to add quarians to MP.

Well that's kind of underwhelming.

It's not bad, just underwhelming. Also now very weird, because people can have an entire squad of that Batarian character.

I've pointed this out before, but the MP characters are meant to be individual characters, as opposed to generic soldiers, just like they did in DA:I.

So we've always had multiple copies of the same person in multiplayer matches. In this case, ol' Scrappy can exist more times in one match than batarians exist in the whole of Andromeda. X3

You'd still have a break in the campaign story, right? It's not like the Turian ark or it's survivors, we're talking about an ark that so far has had no mention in the game other than Tann's little talk at the beginning and the message at the end.

All I know is they introduced a new (old) race to andromeda only in multiplayer with no acknowledgement from the single player campaign which means they have no qualms about doing that sort of thing. This doesn't inspire confidence at all.
