Confession: I like DA2 Anders better than Awakenings Anders.
Thing that made me laugh here...top of this page we have a picture of Solas (I don't get the egg thing either, it's just juvenile, works for Sera but even she can rise higher than that!) on top of that I've got a random advert banner that says "Make Smarter Decisions". Solas needs to look up more.

Confession : I adore Flemeth! And Morrigan is like a sister to me . If Flemth would ask my PC to carry Mythal ( even if my PCs are all Circle mages ) they would jump on it without asking twice. it is not because the power would come with Mythal's soul; It 's because Flemeth has such a charisma that I would let myself being used lol.
I can't romance other men that Alistair, Fenris and Cullen - the end. I made a male PC only to romance Cassandra . I let Anders live because ... I needed a healer in the last fight lmao.
I can't stop yelling at inconsistencies in the stories and interactions between characters . i also tend to yell at the developers because they didn't make the NPCs according to the previous books. As in DAO , where Eamon should be in his late 40s but he looks like a step out of the grave . Leliana doesn't give a dam' about Alistair being around Skyhold as a warden or if he sacrificed himself in the Fade. ETC.

I never read the Codexes. I'd rather just muddle through the game, and then read a Wikia page or post on the forum if I have a question. The internet is for reading, the video game is for battle and companion interactions! I bet the Codices would be a lot more bearable to read if the font size and shape wasn't so awful. To this day, I can't stand reading any of the Dragon Age documents because I have to go right up to the screen to read it. Mass Effect never made reading this painful.
If you play on PC there are a couple of mods available to change the font from the all caps abomination to something much more readable.

I have never attempted DA multiplayer. Not in earnest, anyway (tried once, for all of like 1 minute). Since I switched to laptop for gaming, gameplay has gotten a little clunky anyway, but more than that I just do not really see the DA setting as an appealing one for MP.
And I say this as someone who's logged *lots* of hours into ME3MP.

Ugh, I thought of something for this thread as I was playing DA2 today, and now I don't remember what it was.
Edit: I remember!
During the frenzy of the qunari attack at the end of Act 2 or the mage/templar chaos at the end of Act 3, I still have to stop and pick up all the junk I can find out of every crate and barrel I come across.

I know right? End of act 3 is even sillier, to me, as I do it, because it's not kike this junk will make or break me at Sandal's store. Always end up with ridiculous amount of money at end of any game.

Well, I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one with that issue. Even with my glasses on I had a hard time of reading everything, I just gave up. Even if you change the font in settings, it's still a tough read. I hated not having the gold sparkles where there were items to pick up too, the font on 'loot' was way too hard to see and I know I missed a bunch of stuff.

That's good to know, thank you. One more reason to change to PC instead of buying an XBOX One.

I was really cussing about not having my gold sparkles...it took me forever to spot 'loot' the first time I played. Yeah...that first playthrough expanded my gutter vocabulary quite a bit. I came up with new and very interesting swear word combinations.

Question about PC playing, is there a big difference with the controls? I like the console because of the controller and how fluidly the controls work. On the PC version do you have to use the mouse or directional arrows?

So playing Tresspasser for the first time with the lovely Kara Trevelyan I yelled out in triumph at 4 in the morning, at the angry keep speech, I think I might have woken up the household.

Confession:
My first time playing DAI as a mage, I became a necromancer because:
A. I had all the components for it already = lazy B. Raising undead skeleton companions (Diablo) for the win!
Except B was wrong. Very very wrong. And I could never figure out how to use the raise the dead monster spell correctly. So, pretty much just used the Time Slow spell and called it good.

Confession:
I read DA fan fiction.....
To get me in the right mindset for trying new romances outside of the romances I gravitate to naturally. So, right now I'm reading Zevran fan fiction. Have read and will read again, Solas fan fiction for my Solavellan I have planned later. Will have to read Merrill fan fiction, because she is so hard core friend zoned in my head lol

Why it was emotional for me in general or specificallly about they killed Mythal? Why it was emotional. Nobody knows exactly why they killed Mythal. Closest info we have on it is she didn't wantto join the "kill all the slaves with pointless war" party.

Part of it was the fact that Mythal was very related to all aspects of DA lore.

I never do a romance on my first playthrough of any bioware game. To this day there has been only one exception. Damn you, Alistair. See, I want to make this my rule going forward, but then I remember how betrayed I was by Anders and Blackwall. How impactful on my mind it was that my lover had betrayed me, not just a friend. I wish I had taken people's advice about doing a Solasmance first, that would have been epic Tragedy. (Although I never found him attractive, so maybe I would have tried and rejected it.) Now the surprise is good and ruined, although I'll head cannon hard enough to make sure I cry when I finally do that romance. I'm super looking forward to the next installment of "I don't know what's going on" come DA4. With not a single Wiki to reference, every decision will be weighed heavily for sure! But am amused that Alistair sniped your heart. High five. I like to enjoy the game without the extra weight of a romance the first time through. I had no idea what companions were romanceable in DAO, and that the dialogue options I was picking were leading down the road to Alistair romance. Suddenly he was giving my warden a rose and I couldn't turn him down.
